i really just hate not being able to do anything about a fucking chair ramming into me because i wanted to jump away.

i like the idea of removing cross up protection, because then this game will finally teach people how to block properly (and i'll finally feel at home). i still get confused, because i inadvertently change my block because it's natural for me to assume crossups exist.

Shiki's Arc Drive changed to actually cutting up a character into 17 pieces and not just a 17 hit combo. Shiki's Last Arc changed to him sticking his knife in the ground and destroying the level. (Oh and remove crossup protection)

As much as I want to laugh and call it a joke, I can't help but agree with some of them. I think, though, instead of removing the characters completely, make their character designs less generic.

Can't high shield all 2a's or low shield all j.a's/5a's.
Remove Baras. Arc drives usable in block stun for 50% damage and can't kill.
Shield bunkers can't kill.
Chip death a la arlieth's way, except only arc drives can kill by chip.
Timer is shortened to 70.
Something to make arc drives worth comboing into, like less proration. No proration is too much. Damage should be mostly the same as is when not comboed into.
Yeah arc drives got buffed. Big whoop. Wanna fight about it?
The only character specific thing I'd like to see(although the first thing on the list is sort of character specific...) is Ciel's 22b hitting crouchers.

You can't high parry "A"'s in 3s by default. When was the last time you saw Ken's cr. lk high parried? You can still low block j.a's by my patch notes.
Heat clashes are fine. They are only dumb luck for low/mid level players. Sure there might be some time you used a clash move and weren't expected the activation and got it, which would seem like its dumb luck, but its just a free option select for using that move. For example I do meatyish 2b a lot which clashes with heat. Hisui can use a chair, Sion can 2c(I assume ;)), ect.
Bara is stupid. Its not broken or overpowered, its just dumb. Well maybe its a little broken with Kouma...

I'm reading back on some of these, and there's a lot of complaints about removing the timer.
That's all fine and good, but isn't there an option to remove the timer anyway under Options? :slowpoke:

I do -not- agree with removing timer, timer should stay in there no matter what, an arcade fighter always needs a timer, it 's not a matter of want or do not want.
However, I agree that they should remove the cross up protectoin, and also the death by chipp damage(with moves and arc drives).

- Add two frames of startup to (V.)Akiha's arc drive. To balance this out, make the first hit of the super air unblockable (but with the range of the grab).
- Remove the ability for M-Hisui's A or B whip to grab people out of the air.
- Make certain useless moves (like Sion AD, M-Hisui barrier, W.Len's air normals)... less useless.
- Fix how crossups work in MB. I don't care if they give P2 crossups to both players; just make it consistent.
- Add Punie Tanaka and Shiki Ryougi.

Make backdash slightly less useless. Maybe not all the way like it used to be but closer to before compared to the way it is now.
Also as a side note to the above point, make Miyako's backdash not last ALL DAY LONG ktxhbai.
