A new MB game would only harm the U.S scene at this point in time. PC MBACvB2 is highly accessible and stable and I think it's important to build a good base of users from it before jumping to MB2.

Isn't Ecole only the company that ported AC from Arcade? Wantanabe and TYPE-MOON are the ones that actually make the games IIRC.

The thing is they had mbac2 (temp name) at the beginning and then they had mbac verb2 later on the page.  So it doesn't seem likely that they typoed.
