MBAC vs MBAA Games Engines
« on: January 24, 2009, 06:42:44 AM »
Does MBAC and MBAA run on the same game engine?  If so a PC port (or any port for that matter) of MBAA would not be much more that an update to MBAC.
On a side note I see Arcana Heart 2 is already being ported to the PS2.  I guess a PS2 port of MBAA is not far away.  Need to make your money when a game is hot and people want it, right.

I do not see how the two are related.

I did some searching and found.

Street Fighter IV arcade release was 07/2008.  Console port coming 2/2009
Arcana Heart arcade release was 03/2008.  Console port coming 4/2009
Melty Blood Actress Again arcade release was 05/2008.  I would guess a console port is near.

I know they are made by different companies but the game industry is the game industry.  Or I can hope.

Honestly, I hope they iron out their wrinkles first and then port over the most updated and balanced version to pc.

With a PC ,XBOX 360 or PS3 port they can at at least update the game to fix bugs and balance issues.  If it goes to PS2 were screwed.
