SO uh what are these banners for anyways
also what do we need last for the portfolio?
The portfolio is already done and being translated.
Curbeh definitely wasn't kidding when he said he needed it by the next day!
Anything after that time isn't being used in the portfolio, me and Kamina compiled a report of the materials to the best of our ability for Curbeh to translate (and unfortunately due to time constraints, some editing as well - so you should all thank him!). I don't mean this directly to Ehrik, but to everyone. We all need to work to get things moving forward. We didn't really get many helpful things out of the 1-1 1/2 weeks, and Kamina took a day off just to complete it. I really want to see this community work it's hardest to move projects forward in the future outside of a few select people.
For now, the site will be mentioned and included in the portfolio, so I think the thread is (hopefully) being used as a graphic design playground for the new forum layout and graphical possibilities. Thank you to everyone who is helping Chibi with that. I really hope we can get a new skin up by tomorrow, or the latest, the next day.
That being said, in the end me and Kamina decided on a
timeline of our major tournaments. We included a couple high quality-high skill level-high hype level footage of each tournament, a description of what it meant to the community, the dates, the names of the top 3 winners, and the significance it had to the community. We also included a graphical representation of all our tournaments from the tournament and events board since BBGXI. From there we left a brief message about potential localization options, the strength of the community, and just a hope and aspiration for them to consider us in future potential business decisions. We tried to find a good balance between not making it tl;dr (for Curbeh's sake as well) and media footage/pictures to make it something he wouldn't just drop on his desk and never look at again.
I also sent him a message saying that I wish to present it to him with Korean CL (who will want to talk about the Korean scene). Hopefully he'll spare us 5 minutes of his time.
Thank you to everyone who helped us with the project thus far! I'm hoping we can get more people (especially people really familiar with the scene and the game) to work even harder in the future though. I think this project could of gone a bit better, it was pretty heavy work end for some people by scores and miles.
