But it's cool. Now I can play in an arcade layout, and it feels sooooo comfortable.

I'm curious (my favorite way to start a post, lol).  How do you hold a six-button pad?  I'm all thumbs (that is, I do almost everything with my thumbs except for shoulder buttons), but I've heard that with six buttons you are supposed to put your fingers on top of the controller stick-style (which is why I'm never getting a saturn pad).  Is it practical to do it with your thumb or do you absolutely have to put your fingers on top of it?

I press buttons stick-style on any controller, but Saturn pads are totally playable with thumbs only. :D

I played on a satpad thumbs-style for a while. It's perfectly doable. Make sure if you're going to buy one that you also buy a spare. They're kind of fragile.

Yeah actually at the time I replied to that I was considering it but then I actually started practicing for hours with the arcade stick and it actually works well :)

How's the D-Pad on the saturn pad? The D-Pad on normal Ps2 controllers hurt my thumbs a bit so I had to dig out my old third party one to actually play well.
