I had that error too sometimes, but it worked later (I don't understand why though).

Make sure they're hosting when you try to connect (I'm currently thinking that's the cause).

Anyone else knows about it better?
No use. I suppose it's my internet. These days is being very slow. Even my 3G works better -_-

As I said before, I continued translating these files. I've finished with networking (Only Training Menu is left, but I'm too lazy to translate aaaaaaaaall of it right now :V). Considering that I couldn't get Network Mode to work, it's nothing more almost a draft of it. If anyone wishes to help me polish the translation, the better.

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=TBQT8WRK

And it seems that the full version of MBAACC will require an License ID (Serial?) to play online games even with TCP/IP ones. In the files there are some errors related to having an invalid license ID or playing with the same License ID.

If my deductions are correct, I seriously hope Type Moon makes a separate release of MBAACC from Carnival Phantasm. As much as I love CP, it's too expensive and useless for me paying both just to play MBAACC (considering that I don't have any BluRay Drive  :gonk:)

You can always sell it on e-bay later and enjoy the very beggining of MBCC buying the combo.

Check the prices ppl are selling CP on e-bay: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=carnival+phantasm&_sacat=See-All-Categories

I think in the end it's cheaper then buying a stand alone version..

I have Directx11 installed and the program's still looking for a directx9 dll. Any workarounds on this?

Did that, and I still get lag. D:

Made the options this way...

And I still get lag. <.<

Bro you might wanna put frame rate back to normal. I don't know what the 1 / 2 option does, but if I had to guess it tries to run it at 30.

Very happy with this, I mean there's lag but considering I'm in the UK and I imagine everyone I'm playing isn't is surprisingly stable I'll get the chance to test a UK connection later today and I'm optimistic.
Also sticks definitely do work I'm using my TE

You don't have any proof that people are actually buying it for those prices. Nothing seemed like it had any bids on it.

Keyboard rebinder and Linux fix.
Cool, thanks for this. That way to fix it is much cleaner than my quick hack too.

I haven't really tried direct ip yet, but I got like 4 matches that were almost lagless in matchmaking.
However, it took like 5+ attempts between matches.
And im pretty sure that some of my opponents were lagging on their end.
... does it matter?

ebay has a feature that allows you to see completed listings, in the last week like a dozen CP thingamabobs have been sold for exhorbitant prices via buy it now, I'm pretty sure if you put Carnival Phantasm up on ebay you'll be able to sell it to some hugpillow-toting loser for the price of a small crt famiri

ALSO ougon runs laggy on my computer but amazingly this doesn't, fuck yes now I don't have to buy another computer just to play a goddamn 2d fighter  8-)

That's really an interesting argument on how the stand alone version will be cheaper then the combo.

Well, here in Brazil direct IP netplay seems to be really bad. I can't play with almost anyone properly, even if they live in the same city as me or in a 150 miles radio. Trying to play with ppl that I usually get between 15~30ms of ping leads to a game running less than 10fps from the very char select screen, lagging the whole computer in the proccess. Only one person who lives around 150 miles from me led to playable matches, with very little slowdown from time to time, and he's the only one that manages to conect decently with other players who live even farther (like 400 miles). It's like he's blessed or something.

Matchmaking seems to work much better, but it's hard to get a match that doesnt freeze from time to time. I have a capable computer and a 10mbps ADSL connection (with cable, not wi-fi), and everyone that I tried with had at least 2Mbps in similar conditions.

From what you guys experienced, does that make sense?

You have the last version of your video board plugins? And the last directX version your board support? Usually when you get those errors you don't have one of those, but if you do then it's probably a video board issue..
