Trying to play with ppl that I usually get between 15~30ms of ping leads to a game running less than 10fps from the very char select screen, lagging the whole computer in the proccess.

Let me correct what I just said. It's not like it runs at 10fps... it FREEZES for seconds and then runs a quarter of a second, repeatedly u.u

I had the same problem. Changed the resolution to 640x480, problem disappeared.

That happens only in netplay for me. Besides, I am already using that resolution =/

So, can anyone tell me if my troubles are really meant to be or the devil's doing?

I was going to do this myself, but I don't think there are any left because about a month of so ago Carnival Phantasm Vol.3 had a Special Edition version, which I presume was the copy with the game. I messaged them about it and never got a response, I'm still tempted to risk getting the other copy in case it does have it.

Everytime I start matchmaking mode, the first game will be fine (and funnily, it'll always be an F-VSion). The games after that will have ridiculous lagg and high input buffer. Any idea why?...

Yeah I had the same problem also only in netplay. I think this stuttering issue happens when both players use different resolutions, however I might be wrong. Yesterday I had a game running at 3-5 fps in the char select screen.

What are the things I should be looking out for when playing Direct Connect? I'm trying to play with a friend who is literally a 5 min drive away and it's spiking way too much. We both have the same settings, we play on the default resolution. He has mapped keyboard keys with that weird program but I don't see how that should affect it at all. We have stages animation set to off.....And I'm pretty sure our connections aren't ass since we can connect to other games fine. Is it just MBAACC?

Demo works great and I can play with very little lag. But i have one annoying problem with the game between rounds. Whenever the little splash screen comes up to say "round X... Fight!", it blacks out my screen and i can't see anything for a good 5 seconds into the match. Even though my opponent can see and attack me.

example:

I have no idea whats causing it.  :slowpoke:

After forwarding the port, one in three games works properly. The other 2/3 freeze for 50 frames each second until I mash escape to close it.

we should stick to direct connect mode only. pretty sure we're just being a nuisance to the jap players.

Does anyone know why I get a black screen when I load the game? My comp has pretty much all the minimum specs it requires to run it although I don't know about about my video card.

This is what I get every time just before the game loads:

These are my specs:

[ OS ]
Windows Vista
[ CPU ]
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU          4400  @ 2.00GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.0GHz
[ MEMORY ]
2038MB RAM
[ DISPLAY ]
1280 x 960 (32 bit) (60Hz)

[ DisplayAdapter ]
Intel(R) 82945G Express Chipset Family
256 MB RAM
DriverVersion : 7.14.0010.1461

[ DirectX ]
DirectX 10

I don't read mojibake, but I'm guessing your graphics chipset doesn't support 3.0 shaders.

Is there something I can do about it? Do I have to buy a new video card or a new motherboard?

I tried to upgrade my driver, but it says it's already up to date. But the problem still occurs.

Check your documentation to see if your motherboard supports stand alone vidcard. If not, you're probably better off just getting a new system rather than upgrading motherboard, cpu, and video.
There's nothing to fear now.

^^^It's a laptop

Intel(R) 82945G Express Chipset Family

:V sorry bro, I have a laptop just like this...weird MBAC ran just fine on it, but that only supports up to pixel shader 1.6 if I remember right, so if MBAA needs 3.0 your outta luck.

It's not a laptop that I have though, it's a PC.

Thinking back about it, I remember having the same problem with the Umineko fighter without the warning message.

Check your documentation to see if your motherboard supports stand alone vidcard. If not, you're probably better off just getting a new system rather than upgrading motherboard, cpu, and video.

Unfortunately it's not an option. I guess all I can do is praying hard for dat console release to happen.
