Well they don't work for me. Saving them results in them not appearing in the replay menu.
Did you change the replay name format?  I know when I changed it to something like "<1PSTYLE>-<1PNAME>x<2PSTYLE>-<2PNAME>_20<Y>-<M>-<D>_<H>:<m>:<S>" the replays didn't show up, but switching it to "<1PNAME>x<2PNAME>_20<Y>-<M>-<D>_<H>-<m>-<S>" fixed the problem.
Other than that, I've had no problems with local replays.  I haven't done any netplay (partly because my computer has trouble with the Max/[Blood] Heat and some of the stages, especially the ones right beside random), but I've heard the problem is only with netplay replays.

What?

mauve's tool is detected as a threat by AVG. :/

It's a false positive. The tool does DLL injection and patches the running game process. Viruses like doing this too, so some AV software has heuristics that are triggered by this.

Also AVG sucks.

Yeah my translations are probably considered viruses and stuff by some overzealous AVs too, since they use the same method.

Problem is there's only so many ways to unofficially mod something, and this is how you get in without modifying the original executable. I'll probably end up having to make an exe patch or something that loads it and I really don't want to do that.

translating this game seems to be pretty easy so far. the files don't even need to be repacked, the game can read them outside of the .p files too as long as the folder/file structure's left intact and the corresponding .p file absent. it can also read pngs in place of the dds textures without trouble.

now if only i could translate. lol
This is great.

Also, the delay tool works fabulously well. However you did that, it helps very much. Thanks, mauve!

Any way i can get this tool to not change the key bindings?
I've got a tool that patches the exe and let's me decide the key bindings with button presses, which is nice and fast, and last time i tried this tool; it would always use default key bindings even though i changed the values in the config file :psyduck:

Also, thanks for making our game playable, Mauve.

mod needs to be, well, modded to prevent keybindings

if i do another build i'll put that on it

if it was using default bindings even if you changed the values it uh probably isn't working at all though. that's weird.

once i figured everything out, this went by easy and i completed inserting curbeh's translation into the game for ryogi's arcade story mode. other than way too much text at one point everything went smoothly.

Re: The MB:AA:CC:PC thread: French Bread consider online sale of MBAACC?
« Reply #514 on: January 10, 2012, 04:50:25 PM »
So I've tried three versions of the mbaacc tool (the one with netplay fix, the one prior to that and the one posted by ALNo23), and whenever it loads MBAA.exe it crashes (MELTY BLOOD Actress Again Current Code Ver.1.07 has stopped working), with a BEX error (might not be relevant). It is updated to 1.1 (I've tried it with 1.0 too, not that it should work), and have tried about 4 different installations. I have Avast and disabled all the shields on that even though Avast has never said anything about preventing it running. If MBAA.exe is not present it won't crash and will give the message that it requires MBAA.exe to run.

Does anyone have any ideas what the issue could be?

Yes. It's still your firewall/shield. Did you try to end the process of your firewall and try again?
Also do you have Windows firewall activated? If yes, deactivate.

Already tried disabling Zone Alarm and don't use Windows Firewall (had to disable it again when windows decided to be nice and enable it after I turned off Zone Alarm).

I dunno man.

I think I need to move away from dll injection stuff though, it seems to just be causing more and more problems as time goes on, sadly.

Will the final translations be QC'ed or proofreaded?  It looks promising so far.

From what I can ascertain, the patch seems to fix the random freezes people would run into when playing online (hi Tempered!), saving replays of games played online should actually work now, and random typos have been corrected.

Besides patching the EXE, the new patch also fixes typos with Archetype's command lists and story mode ending.  It does so by dropping a patch file 0008.p

Translators out there, this means you could repack all your work into 0008.p without worrying about modifying anything else.
