It's a shame they chose not to showcase matches this time around. Instead, they show you cute little memories from the previous years :toot:

Not at all. Probably they're doing this to prevent the matchs from being leaked to Youtube, like last year o.o

So that's bad for us u.u

Too bad on the live stream, we'll see one or two matches and then have footage of old SBO finals.

To be more specific, top4 teams are:
Deguchi(Ciel), Mirumirumiruki(Miyako)
Rei(Hisui&Kohaku), Taa(Len)
Kanna(Miyako), Niiya(Ciel)
Kubo(Sion), Kou(V. Akiha)

Apparently there were 2 Last chance qualifiers, and Oyashiro/Udonge and SAT/Niku team won those.

Kaimaato/Leo team got to top8 and lost to Deguchi's team(wtf?), Denpa/Yuu loses 1st round to Rei/Taa(another wtf), Hato team loses to Jin/KNeko team in the 2nd round, SII/Garu gets to top8 and loses to Kanna's team, Nakau's team lost to kubo's team 2nd round.  The Chinese MB team(DHH, ◆王) had to play against Zea/Hagi team first round, and the Korean MB team(Dadami, A-ryu) had to play against SII's team first.  They both lost.  That's all the highlights I can think of now

Lots and lots of upsets.  Also, kubo is using Sion, so the Tougeki page all the way until now had the typo and they didn't bother to fix it

WOW!! I wish I could watch kubo playing u.u

And Yuu/Denpa team losing still at the 1st round was totally unexpected o.o (mainly after that Sacchin's loop)
But it was good. Now waiting for DVD release /o/

I like how he quit MB for a year and no one's been watching him playing since he came back, and still managed to win SBO.

Year of upsets indeed. And to think, kubo had trouble qualifying this year XD. And the issue on who he qualified with (Sion/ VSion).

Also, not a lot of the mid to low tiers fared well this year, unlike last (Sacchin, Arc).

Kansai raped MB this year. Deguchi/Mirumiru are both Osaka players, Kubo is a Kyoto player, and Kou is also an Osaka player iirc. I know he's kansai, cause i see him at all these osaka tourneys.

Anyways, Im glad my hero won. Not only did he win, he won the last round with a PERFECT. Too pro.

And in semifinals, kou got beasted by a ciel player, Kubo destroys his guy, and then destroys the guy who beat Kou.

Kou steps it up for finals and takes out Deguchi's Ciel with some crazy shit I didn't know V-akiha could do. It was awesome.

Everyone plays SOOOOO safe in MB. Its crazy. People don't get hit for doing the wrong moves or whiffing, they get hit cause they messed up blocking the mixup. Its so crazy watching that.

Im happy that both those teams made it to finals, since those are the only two teams that I actually know, haha. I saw Deguchi in Monte Carlo on Thursday, and was talking to him for a bit. He was telling me about how he qualified for Melty, and I wished him good luck earlier before melty started on sunday at SBO. Seeing his team get that far was really cool.

Fubarduck said Kubo perfected the Ciel, not the Miyako!
Perhaps he was mistaken?

Im 100% sure it was the Miyako.

Deguchi played Kou and lost. I was thinking that Deguchi went against Kou first because the round before, a Ciel player destroyed Kou. Kou ends up beating Deguchi's Ciel.

Then Kubo plays MiruMiru and perfects him in the final round. Mirumiru is pretty famous for being a godlike Miyako player, and I remember who played who.

Wow, sounds like a pretty crazy tourney overall.

Both Ciel+Miyako teams made top 4, though, what are the odds?

I'm disappointed that SII and You didn't get all that far this year. Denpa too.
