why is there so much hate for Nero?

*nero hater mode on* because nero controls space too much and dont let the other players play.. if you dont always block you'll be catched soon or later by cheap moves.. and then the annoying combo hoaa hoaa hoaa is disturbing.. plus nero has a good defense modifier and have all those annoying normal moves.. also because nero cant move fast a lot of player will cut even more your game with nasty exits: shield, mash, 66... I personally hate playing against nero... the only ones I hate more are nekos and ciel =x

this kinda reminds me of zangief back in sf4 (i know, please dont kill me for comparing sf4 to melty blood, but i have a good point). in the beginning, zangief wasnt really chosen, so those people that started raping with him got other people mad.. and so those people that started picking up zangief were considered scrubs because the people that were calling them scrubs were gettin their asses beat by that scrub. then, when people started to learn the match up, it leveled out the zangief players and people stopped hating him so much cuz they realized, he was beatable.... do you see my point?

i see.... ive also gotten the understanding that people look down on Nero players. sure he has simple mechanics but what if someone (like me) dedicated their time to learning the matchups, combos and knowing the zoo? ive seen another nero player but he just mashes buttons and somehow wins... thats scrubby, but im actually learning inputs, im not mashing buttons unless i wanna reduce damage

Nero is a character that requires a lot of skill but he is obnoxious.  Obviously there are people who are going to express their distaste for how obnoxious he is.  You can't expect these people to say "Gee that was a thoroughly enjoyable experience" after every match.  No point getting upset if a few people hate your character.

Also, you shouldn't mash to reduce damage.  Timing button presses works better.

I just hate him because of his godly j.C, Im just happy he can do it ONLY three times in the air. I also hate F-Nero's rhino. That one move is stupidly good. Very fast, huge range, combos into 4C for launch, then here comes j.C x3 again.

I used to have a bad matchup against him in MBAC when I used Satsuki, but while he is "annoying" at times, he's not godlike, unfair, or even overly obnoxious. Stay out of the red, asshole.
