Are you dropping a lot of frames during netplay?  Are you windowed or fullscreened?

i play minimized screen, what does dropping alot of frames mean?

Sometimes when i play its fine but other times it flickers.  Does it depend on who i play?

On the top bar you should have information on how many frames per second the game is running at, and what % of cpu time it is using.  If you're running at less than 60 frames per second, you're losing frames.  I need to know how much lower that number is.

At this point I can only suggest closing any background programs you are running before you play.  And have your opponent to the same because slowness at one end slows the game for both people.

Either your computer is really bad and you need to buy a new one, or you have a bunch of viruses/background programs clogging it up.

um... zone alarm? Current update makes it consume a huge chuck of your cpu power resulting in a lag spike.
