You type in the internal IP address of the other computer on the lan. To find out what it is, go to the start menu and hit run and type "cmd" then "ipconfig."

The person connecting will need I.P. of the person they are connection to, they will use option 3.
The person accepting the connection will use option 1.
When i did it i just connected at the same time and it worked well (minus the D-pad not working).
P.S. firewalls must be turned off or set to allow mbcaster.

Is there any way to get MBCaster to recognize the D pad? Shitty analog on PS2 pad is killing me. If I just have to wait for the next patch, then so be it.

My friend cannot seem to use the d-pad on his Xbox360 controller, but it's usable offline.
Any suggestions~nyo?
Thanks in advance~nyo.

Caster only reads directional input from the X/Y axis of the assigned pad, whereas MBAC itself reads from both the X/Y axis and the POV hat. The D-pads on X360 pads and sticks are seen as a POV hat. This is a known issue with the DirectInput support and will be addressed in a future release.

I use Xpadder

For PS2 pads i think it depends on your converter, With my conveter if i turn off analog mode the depad will work but if i turn it on the stick will work.

I use a radioshack converter.  I probably was alittle vague i see that there is a point where i could be sligly mistaken, i meant that turning on/off the analog on the controler not the converter(just incase thats how it was interpited)

My converter won't allow me to turn off the analog for some reason. I'm going to look around at more local stores for converters. Best Buy, Circuit City, and Gamestop didn't have any. For some reason my pc controller works when i turn off the analog, but the d-pad on it is terrible. If all else fails, I'll just purchase another PC controller. I'm getting a custom arcade stick made now and should have it in 3 weeks. I cannot fkn WAIT. Thanks for the help.

I just thought I'd drop in and let you guys know: I have found a Workaround for the D-Pad issue: JoyToKey.

http://www.electracode.com/4/joy2key/JoyToKey%20English%20Version.htm

Open JoyToKey and map your attack buttons, then click on the 'Others' sidetab, and check the Use POV box. Go back to the Joypads tab and configure the POV to match your keyboard controls for movement. Make sure that Caster is configured to use the Keyboard, and just have JoyToKey running as you play.

Also, this allows you to put multiple buttons on a key, so it IS possible to make an A=B=C key, even though Caster doesn't have it built in yet  ^^

OK so I got everything for the caster to work, but when I actually am in the caster the button configs are diffrent. I mean all the buttons are and working its just that they are not mapped the same in the single player program. Any Help would be much appreciated.

Peace...

i prefer xpadder

mainly cause it emulates all the buttons on your controller, i remember having some troubles with joy2key on 360 controller i think.

but w/e eliminates input lag more i guess is better

and for the problem, are you using kb or pad/stix
if pad/stix then check to see if you configed the buttons correctly

Im hoping for some game play options.
Tag team, team, customizable game settings, instead of jumping to a match.

Someone should update the top of this thing.  I was having MAD desync issues with EVERYBODY and then I turned stage backgrounds to "simple" and it fixed EVERYTHING.  Haven't had a desync since.  Note that this has nothing to do with the processing power of your computer.  Complex backgrounds just interfere with caster for some reason.  Maybe it will be fixed sooner or later.

The program is really amazing  ;D

However, I have a problem: I have 3in1 MagicJoyBox (playing with GC controller), and the thing is my joystick is used, so I can't get it to directions by 100%.

Is there a way to modify the sensibility required for the joystick?

For example, in the game itself, the sensibility is NOT at 100%, so I can play with it with no problem. mbCaster is the one I can't get working. (Directions up-right-left are all right; down is not all right xD, and there isn't any "calibrate" function in its joystick menu)

Thanks nevertheless

Can please someone help me with that :/? I read through the whole thread
but didn't find any solution. Well, i have opened ports , everything works,
but my friend can't connect. Her mbacPC.exe opens normally, and the game works fine,
it doesn't open in debug-9-mode with mbcaster, though. Any idea, why that happens?
We already seemed to connect through relay, but while the game opened on my side it didn't on hers. It seems to load something but closes down immidiately.
Thanks in advance
