No-ip For MBcaster
« on: June 14, 2009, 09:36:09 AM »
Hello everyone.
I've recently started to use something called no-ip to play melty blood online through mbcaster. I used it to play online once and I found it a lot more better compared to hamachi because it was actually pretty smooth and had no lag. But I have a problem. The problem is I can only join matches but not host them. I tried hosting with my friends but I couldn't get the game going. I was able to join my friends game with no problem but it's not working for me. I would have asked him but the guy's to busy to help a brother out. So out of desperation I'm asking help from you guys cause I can't find a single thread about this issue. So please help.

A no-ip is basically just a referrer to your initial IP address. So if you can't host even with your normal IP then you have issues with your firewall or router.

You have to forward UDP 7500 in both your firewall and router to be able to host. There is no guarantee that it will work afterwards though. Depends on many factors, but it's a good starting point.

thanks a lot for the help but I found out that it was really just router issues. But I  got it working so kudos to myself lol.
