Author Topic: Thinking about making a monthly Netplay tourney(or something anyway) (Read 29858 times)

That looks interesting. one a day for a month? you mean one match. Im open to anything but i was thinking that if we did it over several days we would do one round a day.

For example. If there were 16 people in the tournament all of them would play the first day. Then on the second day 8 people would play in the winners bracket and 8 people would play in the losers bracket. Half the people in the losers bracket would be knocked out of the tournament on the second day. then on the third day we would have 4 people in the winners bracket and 8 people in the losers bracket again.(those being the 4 who were knocked out of winners in the previous round and the four who won in the losers bracket the previous round. and then so on till we get to the finals. if we did it in two weekends we would probably have the last several matches the last day or two.

that should still allow a little time for people to makeup matches the next day or sometime during the week if it were between weekends.

or we could just do regional netplay ranbats

and use vent for commentating

although most regions already have a monthly tourney(West Toast, and C3)

Hi NinjaNero. the tourny will almost certainly be the 29th of december. we will all got to tesujisnetplayroom in irc.pyoko.org it may not exist if you go look for it now but it will be there on the day of the tourny. By the way..... was that suposed to be english.

So, would you all like to

A. keep the tournament over two weekends(people who miss a day should be able to make up there games this way)
B.have the tournament over one weekend.
C.Do the whole thing at once.(might take a while)

Sounds interesting. I think I'll sign up too. As for when we should have it, I'm in favor of having it over one weekend, but it's just personal preference, I'm not too concerned about it.

Say, you think there should be an info post somewhere around here? It's kind of hard to know what's going on if you have to read the whole thread to get an idea of what's happening. Like where we're meeting, how it's going to work, etc.

On the 29th of December I'll be in Maryland so if I'll be able to play, I'd like to have my EC matches while I'm there! I'll be back in California on the 31st so, I'd like to have my WC matches while I'm home!
