When's Melty on Steam?
ahaha that's no--wait, what?

Didn't we already have a thread for this game? I dunno, I looked back 10 pages and didn't notice it, so I'm making a new one.
Check out the awesome new promo vid (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHIdXRIcQ-E). Apparently the last loke test is coming up sometime late April or early May, I forget exactly. The pv is hype though. I like the samurai dude more after seeing this. Everyone has some pretty hype shit they show though.

Bear trap grilled magical girl for life~

I'm down for Cthulhu magical girl.

Imports will forever rape my wallet.
Hikaru's Dandy Step at 0:20
I know who im playing. lol

Lol keep getting hype for this game and then forgetting it exists, characters look pretty fun to play and it looks nice too, which is always a bonus.
OMG I hope this game comes out on current Gen.
Seconded, preferably either on pc or un-region locked on console. (Dunno why so many japanese developers bother region locking 360 titles which they have no plans of localising outside of japan)
-
The characters all srsly look fun as hell. Vein's mixups made me :o
:| this needs console release. Now.

I'M PLAING THE DAMN COOK!

didn't remember this game until the definition of heterosexuality hit the screen
-
I'm with MasterT.
Either the definition of heterosexuality or the Terry Bogard voice YOYOYOYOYOYO
-
Multiple characters with teleports. I'd be down for casuals.

Pretty easy to forget about this game. Location tests are like...what, once a year or something? Game's been in development forever.
Also there's always hope for porting, since originally the game was being developed for pc. Let's hope we can get our hands on it sometime in the future. It's lookin mighty sexy.

WHERE'S THE COOK
-
Interesting, it looks like you can choose between run and step style dashes and you pick two out of four supers.

Has there been any recent news in terms of release date, possible console port, etc.?
-
Game released to arcades yesterday (Aug.4) and there's already footage of the first tournament. Otherwise, no news of a port or anything so far that I know.

I find the animations and sprites rather rigid. Like it's still very doujin.

I would say it's the easy dash cancel infinite that make the game very doujin (http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm15244454).
I would be shocked if this was the only one people ever found.

That was fast.

Sadness.
-
Whatever, it's still leagues more interesting then fucking Aquapazza.
-
I am never going to be able save any damn money....
Another great looking fighter.
-
I guess something might be said about this here...

Wow. I really never thought I'd see the day.
I feel sad saying it, but honestly, I don't think I feel the excitement for it any more. Hopefully they rebalance.

We'll see. the game itself is exciting to watch... but I think that it would be hard to convince me to play it. It does lack in draw for me.
I would assume, like any console release of a fighting game... changes will be made. Will it be a total rebalance, we'll have to see.
-
I'm actually still fairly excited, considering im the guy always asking for PS3 ports.
Altho most of my hype is reserved for skullgirls at this point.
-
Honestly, I think I'll be happy as long as I don't see CERBERUS and TONFAS all fucking day long in every CC tourney known to man.
Also when they changed the super mode to not perma-destroy your meter, making it into a near-essential tool for winning, it brought in a change that I wasn't really too keen on. A lot of people liked that change though, so I might be in the minority on this one.
-
I'll play this, I want to support these guys coming out of nowhere and taking a shot at making an IP like this. But I don't think I'll be able to give it all the love and attention it may deserve just because of all the fighters currently out and still have yet to come out.
-
Fun question: which game is going to have a bigger community in the us -- VF5:FS or Chaos Code?
I'll be buying this, because I respect the stones the developer has for releasing a FG in this market that has no prior version and no license. That and the game looks dope as fuck.

Say one more bad thing about Rui and she'll be smashing your pelvis in with those tonfas. :<
(And they nerfed her from 1.0? lolololololol)
-
Rui will tonfa kick your as. Believe me. I know. I played the game in japan

I with you on that one, more or less I have been having my eyes on SG, UNIB and STxT(more out of obligation that anything else, I am something of a scene guy in Toronto and the scene is hype for that game). And honestly my concerns are large with SG and UNIB. It would be nice to see some CC play in the us but I am not putting money on that.
-
Just to let anyone in Northern California know. Southtown Arcade has an arcade port of the game right now.
-
I'll just leave this here...
