Leaders have been popping up sporadically invading PokéStops since early November. Unsurprisingly, leaders use more powerful Pokémon than their recruits.
They even have the benefit of protective shields. This makes fighting them that much more difficult. Like other Team Rocket battles, they will leave a Shadow Pokémon for you to catch, but this time, they can be shiny!
Knowing which Pokémon Arlo, Cliff, and Sierra will use is critical to defeating them. After all, your equipment is the most important thing when choosing yours. We can't tell you exactly which species they use, but it will be from a specific group of Pokémon.
They also use a variation of Pokémon, which makes putting together a team a bit more complicated. There are plenty of counters for the various Pokémon that Team GO Rocket leaders use, but the LanAkou infographics seem to be the best
