I agree. I have issues with the butler character's sprites, especially when he's blocking. IDK, just seems unnatural and stiff.
Still, the overall graphic quality is amazing. The stages and when characters use those supers to change the background. Wow.

So. This game has an outstanding presentation, original music plus new tracks and full voice synchro.
The thing is, this game is broken. In many ways. But it's terribly addictive and it has build-in netplay. Even if it's buggy. And my notebook keyboard doesn't support three keys pressed so I can't do metashit. And hidden characters are obvious from the credits roll.

So far there are no hidden characters, but there's junk data floating around for Bernkastel, so it's likely she'll be added in a later patch or something if they decide to do extra characters in patches. Someone did a sprite rip of the game and there are no sprites for anyone but the normal characters.
Game feels pretty good for a first iteration, it's very KoF-ish but the way the meter system, the tag abilities and the character innate bonuses work makes managing your characters have solid depth and strategy. If they give good support for this like Melty got it could end up being a really good fighting game.

I actually like this game as an alt. I mean, it's not as good as Vampire Savior or Arcana Heart for that, but at least it's better then Blazblue and Guilty Gear imo. Opening my heart here: the good thing in Ougon is I can payback people from other games for saying they wont play MB because of the graphics... they are usually very limited players and totally graphic whores, and I don't like those xD so I love to be able to play them (kill them) in another game. The only one who beats me here in Brazil is Shin, who is also a MB player, so it's like Ougon is saying "MB players are superior, sorry". Yeah, I really have anger in my heart for those who say they wont play MB because of the graphics...

I was not talking about the game quality, because I havent really go deep in GG or BB, but I have better feelings for Ougon then for BB or GG as an alt game. I dare to have my own opinion on this point, even if it might sound stupid. Also abc meta abc isnt the best thing to do... more like it's abc assist abc... Anyway we have games with broken/stupid combos out there... are combos what makes a fighter good or bad? I kinda like its the neutral game system with its limitations and all. Those make the game different, I like it it's way (but burst assist ;/)

the problem with ougon isn't its combo system. it's that the combo system is all it has. the footsie game is shallow trash and almost all the 'mindgames' are based around the meter system, by which i mean there aren't any because you're gaining a ridiculous amount of meter from pretty much everything that happens.
