I remember in the past trying to use 22A to stuff dash-ins, but I didn't have much luck. I always got 2A'd. Maybe that's just me though, so I will stick with ex-shield/heat/dodge/623 for reversals.

empire combos YES :fap:

I still don't see why they ALL had mon at the end of there' names, i know it's short for monster but it still was stupid.
Hang on, Ange? Don't sound right without mon now. ffs

Haha ya...thats probably cuz they couldn't think of anything else better.

Even if they went the same route that Pokemon went naming their creatures, eventually they'd run out of good names. That's pretty much happened after the first 150, IMO.

1st and 3rd are the only ones worth watching.
i hated the second season with a passion. it was because of the new characters and because the old characters and digimon barely got any screen time at all

Haha that's the exact same reason why I didn't like season 2 so much at the beginning, but then it grew on me.

I don't remember a single THING about the first season, so I need to watch it again some how.

Nice av woof. +heat

I don't understand why this thread is sticked. Was it because of the TSS and Magical Drop 3 tournaments? heh.

No one has posted the full results yet. Here's the one for melty, since it's the only one I remember.

1. jjmeowmixlover (C-Kouma, C-Nanaya) -$50
2. Clear Sky (C-Miyako) - $15
3. digimonemperor (F-Roa)
4. Desmond Delaghetto (C/F-Ryougi, F-Nanaya)
5. Yggdrasil (C-Ciel, C-Ries)

Ahh good choices! But which season of digimon? ;D

Seasons 2 and 3 are my favorite ones. I stopped watching after 3 because I kinda forgot about the series. lol.

If you ever watched the Pokemon anime, you may have noticed the same plot seems to follow through almost each episode. So here it is: Ash and company meet someone(or someones). Ussually this person(or people) will own a Pokemon of some kind. Which you Ash will never catch or see again The Pokemon or the person has some sort of problem. Before battling, after battling or during battling Team Rocket, the Pokemon or person(or people) will solve there problems. In fact, this plot holds for 3/4's of every episode.

They never changed this formula you're talking, one season after another. Mid-way thru the first season I lost my patience and quit watching the show. Monster Rancher and Digimon were more superior in my mind, so I watched those shows instead. Not sure if those shows were all airing around the same time though...

It's not really a triple j.c combo.  It's just her fuzzy guard.  You do super deep j.c into fuzzy dj.c IH j.c (land) 2a > bnb.  You'd have to be pretty lucky to actually get all 3 j.c's to hit.  That's why I mentioned the IAD j.bc as being a perfect setup into the fuzzy, since you get an extra hit in to potentially catch them with.  4x overhead jumpin fuzzy bnb would be some pretty sweetdiculous damage, but realistically it would probably only be 2x j.c that actually hit.

Also, I had no idea you didn't have access to MBAA.  Why not?

What characters can you do this fuzzy guard on? Just Nero and Wara, as usual?

Yes, I haven't gotten around to replacing my PS2. Not sure what route I want to take when it comes to playing imports, etc.

I honestly don't think we'll be beating the triple j.C IH combo anytime soon.

What's the combo transcript for that?

I have no idea what IH can cancel, as I've barely played MBAA. However if you could do 623b/623bb -> IH -> j.C, the mixup potential off of that would be very good, and it would be a far more practical surprise overhead then Miyako's in MBAC.

Do you have any interesting IH combos?

Even if her oki off of her AAD is really good (this was the case in MBAC), the problem is that mixup is still random, so you could end up losing all that meter for nothing (e.g. your opponent blocks everything and escapes). I'd probably be more inclined to not take that risk, and would prefer to have meter for 412C, at all times if possible, so I always have guaranteed knockdowns for every combo I land. If however though, my opponent was about to die from anything else than a full combo, the risk would be worth taking, for me.

That's just me though.

Blindgamer17: You're gonna have to explain how you play being blind, because sound cues are awful in most fighting games.

Any tips on how to get jc. jBC j236B jc. jBC AT with C-Roa consistently? The command interpreter makes this combo stupid hard at times. I keep getting a second j236B when I want a dj.B.  :emo:

Kohaku's Video Room / Re: MBAC newbie combos (my first attempt)
« on: September 13, 2009, 01:09:08 PM »
You deserve a serious reply, since you did put effort into making this combo video and posting it on here.

No offense, but you kind of wasted your time making this video. Most combos in MBAC are quite easy, unless you're new to fighting games and/or have no propensity to them. So really, the newbie or basic combos are the standard bnbs, which anyone who's trying to learn this game, should learn. And there's tons of resources for that too: the strategy boards here, Japanese wikis, and combo/match videos online.

Anyway, good effort, but make sure to think of a couple of these ideas before you make combo videos in the future:

If my combos are for style, are they unique?
If my combos are to teach others how to play this game, are they useful and has this been done by others already?

As for your slowdown with Fraps, when you first install the program, it fps is preset at 30fps. Change it to 60fps and you should be good.

P.S. Play Melty Blood: Actress Again instead of MBAC.
