yeah the screen has been scaled down a lot in MBAA. it's a little bigger than how it was in MBAC now. a good change imo. it's reminiscent of the full screen momiji loop on ciel in MBAC

... Doesn't C-Nero still have EX deer? Bee is unique to H-Nero.

And EX Crows setup is pretty strong if not superior...

Who should I play in AA? The whole "Groove" system has thrown me for a serious loop, and the only person I was any good with (Nero) seems to be seriously nerfed, and though I read to play him F now, I just don't like it at all.
Isn't Nero very similar to how he was in MBAC?

Sorry, I should have realized earlier that no one has been posting any information on Meltybread lately. The discussion mainly happens on Dustloop. Also it might be a good idea to keep an eye on the Sacramento regional thread, someone new posted and is offering to host... maybe you should get at that nandeyanen snozzwangler dat h ryougi too lol

It is the beginning of a new season. Everyone starts from ground zero again.

What: MBAA/GGAC/BBCS
When: October 2nd
Where: SJSU's Comp Sci Clubroom

To start the season off, the entry fee for every game will be $3.
We will raise the entry fee back to $5 after this ranbat.
The venue fee will also be $3 but if this is your first tournament, the venue fee will be waived.

Disclaimer:
The venue is actually being provided to us free of charge.
However SJSU's CS club was robbed over the summer and we need funds to host another major.
Thus, the venue fee will be split between SJSU's CS club and NCI 2's savings account.

Directions:
The CS clubroom is located on the 2nd floor of MacQuarrie Hall which is on 4th Street.
Upon entering, go upstairs, past the elevators, make a left, walk forward, make another left, it's at the corner of the hallway.

I'm expecting Shinjuku Melty to dominate and win their first and second matches unless they have to fight each other.

I'd like Hato and Leo to win but I wouldn't be surprised if any of these teams won.

You (Arcueid) and Bubu (Nero)
Jin (Hisui) and SAT (Nero)
Hagi (Ries) and Surume (Nanaya)
Hare (Satsuki) and Waka (Kohaku)
T.I (Shiki) and Garu (Kohaku)

I'm also looking forward to watching these teams.

Kou (V.Akiha) and Luckystar (Nero)
GO1 (Akiha) and Ieda (Kohaku)
Aware (Hisui) and Shiki (Shiki)
Highspeed (Warakia) and Yuu (Sion)

More underdogs that I'm also looking forward to but yes, am ranking lower.

Fujinami (V.Sion) and Kata (Akiha)
any Akiha and V.Akiha player lol

And it sucks that these players weren't able to qualify.

Sora (V.Akiha)
Takashi (Warakia)
Fuusui (Aoko)
Jamu (Warakia)
Misora (Shiki)

ok this post is too long now but these are my personal highlights for SBO

have a good one! i dont remember what i said about vsav anymore but its a pretty cool game. i played it a little bit. you are a positive existence (i suck with words), keep up the improvement. i honestly enjoyed your presence at our gatherings. lolol damn this sounds like some sort of report card from the 3rd grade

don't worry about the tournaments so much. sometimes i still forget to breathe too. or so i think. lol. we will be expecting your return. take it easy! i dunno what else to stay so uh here comes some bs. stay true to yourself? ^^V

142
hmm. greats post sounds right.

trip guard is different? i think someone needs to define that term lol

sorry for the confusion. it looks like you know this better than i do

143
i think this is called trip guard (idk i picked the term up from bell)

this is pretty old but yeah i don't think it's been talked about on the forums before and yes it did change in AA

zar has gone in detail about how it changed on irc

more importantly, iirc there is a period of time where you cannot block even if you didn't do anything in the air

in mbac this time (landing recovery) was reduced by whiffing an air move

you should probably test with full white len's ice pit instead

also iirc airdashes can affect your landing recovery/trip guard as well

Lol, she's so rosy cheeked!  Pretty cute.  The one of her on the beach is best.
I like the one where shes busy destroying her food

Oh yeah, since school started, my apartment is now free to have small gatherings.  My living room is quite empty with a CRT.  No parents or anyone to be awkward around.  About half a mile away from the Santa Clara Caltrain station.  Right next to El Camino Real with tons of foooood.

Just throwing this out there  :blah:

how many people can you fit comfortably? room for multiple crts? can we play guilty gear at your apartment too? :D

... and I've tried V-Akiha, but her loop is a killer to do to me, so now I'm working on Seifuku Akiha. (Guess its pretty obvious, I'm an Akiha fan.)

Welcome and high five for being an Akiha fan. V-Akiha's momiji loop is pretty easy, just be patient and grind it out. I played Akiha (C-Akiha now) in MBAC and switched to V-Akiha in MBAA. Just my two cents but the general consensus is that S-Akiha is pretty bad and feels pretty incomplete as a character. You might have to get creative with her as there is also really no available footage for her but a couple others have put in their time with her in training mode. All the other Akihas are very playable.
