I'm trying to take off one of the weekends here at work soon.  They've been giving me Sundays off, but I don't know for how long.  I got in touch with another friend who loves Melty and he's going to try to bring one of his friends too.

Are you free on weekends, Skwuck?  As soon as I get confirmation, I'll keep you posted on what weekend we can go to Denton.

Yeah, it'd be torture since I would essentially going without sleep on Saturday night, which cuts into game time.  I'll stay home this weekend and try to plan for another one.

I'm really sorry about this guys.

@Qpunch I don't know anything about White Len  :nyoro:

And, I hate to do this but I started a new job this week.  They gave me Saturday off, but I have to work Friday until 1am and the following Sunday at 12pm.  What this means is that I would either have to get up super early to drive out to Austin and pick up Skwuck on Saturday and leave the same night, or leave right after work on Fryda (which is around 1am) and then drive off to Austin / Denton and leave again Saturday night.  I don't know how that will work out, but it's definitely going to be a lot of driving.  I probably won't be able to stay Saturday night like I had hoped.

So...I'm going to have to reschedule to get a full weekend off.  If the idea above works for you Skwuck, let me know.  If you're willing (and Texas Tim is willing) I'll go that route -- otherwise, I'll probably have to cancel until a later date.

Which sucks, because I just started practicing Melty again for this weekend.  :(

Awesome, sounds great.  I'll swing by on Friday to pick up Skwuck, and continue on in to Denton for the weekend.  I'll see about asking other Houston players if they're interested.  The more the merrier!

Denton does Melty meet ups pretty consistently every weekend right?  When's the next hookup?  I'll come out there by myself if I have to.  I'll even pick you up Skwuck, if you help chip in for gas.

My main is H Ryougi, although I'm capable of playing all the moons, with a little bit of F Aoko,  H Sion, and H Shiki on the side.

I see, that's really informative.  So Denton is the place to be, followed by the DFW area.  Gotcha.

I remember at Evo 2010 there were a few guys from Texas who roomed with Shin's group, but I don't remember where they were from.  I could've sworn they were from Houston or some area around there...but I guess maybe not.  I was hoping to run into them here.

And I can't be the only guy in Houston.  That leaves me in the same position as it did back home.  We had four players there and even more up in KC.  No one took it too seriously, sadly.  There seems to be a fairly moderate AH3 scene here.  Maybe some of those guys play.  I'll keep trying.

Thanks for the heads up.  I'll try to visit Denton sometime in the near future before the year ends.

Texas Tim, do you still play Melty by chance?  I'd love to get some games in with you!

Hey guys, just moved in to Houston (Pearland specifically) and wanted to say hello to the Melty crowd.  Does anyone host or play games here?

My bad dude, I haven't been on these boards in a while.  Not sure if anyone from IA is coming for Melty, and I kind of doubt the STL people (or person) goes to anything outside of the state.  KC players will have a free ride this time around lol

Personally, I've been pretty busy with work and stuff.  Good luck with the tournament!

It's risky in the sense that once you let go of the knife, it's gone.  She doesn't have any exceptional reversal moves outside of 214C and j236C (both of which are more punishable than 22C).  H Ryougi is very dependent on her knife because it allows her more flexibility in all sorts of situations.

It's been mentioned, but in a different thread.  22C is very strong, and as far as I know it's unduckable.  Even Ryougi herself can't run underneath it.

It is, however, susceptible to dodges and shields if the opponent predicts it.  Use it in moderation like all other things.

Have you guys not seen Hunter x Hunter?  You always start with rock.  The reason is because as you watch the opponent's fist drop, you can adjust to scissors or paper on the fly by simply putting out your fingers.

That sounds incredible.  I've had something similar happen to me, but in a different setting.  Is there a link to a video of it anywhere?
