Ciel's Tech Support / Weird, weird issues after rehauling computer

Well, not really weird so much as inexplicable.

My computer was old and cranky, so I upgraded it with a bunch of new hardware - pretty much everything but the hard drive's been updated.

So far it's been going pretty well (I'm sure you're all interested in a random jerk on the internet's new computer) except for one slight problem. Melty Blood stopped working.

It first pops up with the error "FileExtract Failed-Please restart your Computer!" and then a few seconds later everyone's favorite Program No.6 Error.

Tried rebooting and reinstalling, neither one helped. I'm officially stumped - it was working perfectly before. Any idea why a change in hardware would ruin everything, and how to fix it?

Last Arcs suck, don't use them. Whoopie-do shielding is one of the riskiest things to try in MB and you lose all your meter and get barely the damage of a BnB, w00tabitch3z!

Circuit break is kinda cool.

But yeah, Last Arcs are pretty much for fun. In serious angry tournaments, nobody uses it.

To do a last arc you must first enter blood heat and then EX Shield an attack. Be carefull not to mash the D button, because it will cancel the Last Arc, even if you did manage to EX Shield an attack.

Ciel and Kouma need to be in the air to use the Last Arc ( i believe im missing someone in here ). Every other character will do the Last Arc when they are on the ground.

Arcueid and Mech-Hisui also need to be in the air, if memory serves.

I think the Necos need to be crouching, too, but I might just be cracked.

Xfire is just an IM client that has a few game-based supports, like telling people what you're currently playing, how much you play games, etc.

Nothing huge, just a little "oh neat" thing.

Hi. I'm lurking, but I posted for the first time, so I figured I might as well post here.

I'm from MA, and there is no scene here, but I still have fun mashing the computer. I'm horrible beyond horrible, a level or two above button masher, but I like the same, and that's what's important.

As for main, I can't pick just one, so I juggle between Arcueid, Neco-Arc, and Kohaku.

I have no idea how to extract stuff, so I'm asking here.

If anyone can either extract the sound byte(s) from Neco Arc's j.214C or tell me how to do so will be my best friend forever.
