It all depends on your location really. The Guilty Gear scene seems to be pretty big in general (from what I've noticed, most melty players main Guilty Gear). 3rd Strike and MvC2 also seem to be pretty huge.

I know there are a lot of great fighting games out there, but when I sat down to think about it I couldn't think of any.
Wanting to get into some more fighter games besides MBAC I was hoping you guys could give me some suggestions.
Also I don't know of the "Cult" versions to play...

You could get a stick for the Wii, but I would make sure I could find a converter for the computer. If nothing else, you could by a stick for something you already have the converter to (or know of one that exists.)

Also when using other characters you get a bit of an understanding of there timing and moves.
Play people better then you (which sounds like your at a bit of a disadvantage)
A combo is fine to

I take my laptop with me and play it on the bus, anywhere. If i get someone interested I get their aim msn any info to get them in touch which this site.

I take my laptop to kix's house, school, me and pi play at lunch, and during government and i play on the bus on the way home.

To bad that is possibly halted for a few (10) days
