Right in the middle of finals for me  :-\
Studying is for fags!

I have finals too but I'm still going :|||||

My funds are also starting to wear down, so its basically either this or ECT2, and ECT2 is gonna attract more attention/be at a more convenient time.

That's true, I gotta agree with that.

78
Going, gonna get those days off then.

actually realizing right now, on blast seem a better place to hold tournies as chibi and sp00ky were saying.  I haven't gone to either or(most definaly going to the next on blast tho), but on blast seems less chaotic.

80
I'm most definally going and I am looking for a place to stay.  Lolisauce pm me and ask me about it.

Seems like people are heavily in favor of monthlies at Blast :\ That's fine, but we don't need to end BBG because there's a new place that's a bit a less of a hassle for monthlies.  If that has to be the case, I think we should run atleast two BBG's (One for spring, and one for summer) every year.

that's actually a good idea, at least we could use that gazebo something u know?  plus on blast and bbg are pretty hype for melty.

82
Hey does anyone want to share a room with me?  Let me know I'll book it and stuff.  Just bring it a TV or two and I'll bring my ps2 and we'll play some games. hurray!!!

If I can at least get signatures for them to prove that some people from other states would come then that's cool.  But yeah I assume it's kinda far for you guys to travel.

Just got word from a friend that some of his pals just open a store around the Boston area.  Now here's the thing I'm gonna obviously talk to them if they can hold any Melty Blood Tournaments at their store and know what I need to do in order to make things happen.  Now if they need me to get signatures or something like that I might as well start up a petition, so here it is.  So just reply to this post and I'll put ur name in this afterwards.  It will also be great if anyone from others states can sign this as well because this to prove to them that players from other states would be willing to travel in order to play some games.  SO LET'S GO MELTY HEADZ SIGN DAT PAPER UP AND SHOW SOME LOVE FOR MA...plz(lol)!

Also from HBRD, in there other location at Framingham, MA is also reopening, so we can also give out this petition to them as well

Thanks,

Same here.

I've been doing it for ten years and counting now.

:P

Well for now that would have to happen when it comes to going to Melty!  But I'm hoping that I can get a car within August or September of this year.
@ Tinshi

Just a few suggestions:

- If this event (inevitably) ends up replacing monthly BBGs I suggest (for MB) that we start a Ranking Battle System for "proper" seeding at future events. The first event could be random seeding to determine seeding for all tournaments after for the remainder of the year (you can call it a "season" or whatever). After a complete season you can reset player points/scores and possibly give prizes to the highest ranking competitor!  :prinny: I dunno, it's just an idea I'm throwing out there that I think others may be interested in (cus I know y'all hate random seeding lol). You may want to consult with Zaelar (yeah...I know  :-\) for some ideas on rankings/points/etc. He came up with some good stuff in the past but...Zaelar is Zaelar sometimes.

-I think someone was asking about rules/stipulations for the featured games. You may want to mention that to avoid any confusion/idiocy in the future. Just bringing it up again in case you missed it.

Anyway, good luck with this shit man! BLAST OFF, ON BLAST!  :toot:

Yeah that is actually a good idea.  I'm down for that too.  But I'll go when there is another one coming up.

89
Yeah unfortunately I don't have a car and the only way for me to get there is to get public transportation.

90
I'll try to get work off for this and also depending on how much it will be for public transportation of coarse.  If this is going to be monthly then I'm definally want to be in for this.  I'm also wondering if I can possibly get housing as well(if I'm going that is).  I'll you know tinshi.  ;D

Red Arcueid / Re: Warc Combos and Tactics (MBAA)
« on: March 11, 2010, 02:53:35 AM »
This my cover for H-Warc, first time doing this.  So be easy on me  ;D.

Normals
(Assuming that you know about C-Warc.)
Basically her standing normals and ground normals are pretty much the same as C.  Except you don't have 6C which is pretty unfortunate, but still manageable.

5A 6AA: A starter for a combo and your main usage bnb's.

Specials
623A/B/C: Her teleport now has a beam around her which is used as an attack.  After you input 236, you right away input 8 or 9 to do an aerial.
236A/B/C: Now used as projectile.  Useful when it comes to spacing.  Also can be cancel into 22C.
214A/B/C: Same as MBAC
22A/B/C: Now you can use this on the ground.  Very nice for oki's and wake-ups.  22A can cancel into  22C, 214C or 63214C.  Will be more discussed later on.
63214C: Unlike her big ring that she throws at her opponent, her disappears and grabs you in which she slams you in the corner!
j.214A/B/C: Same as MBAC
j.22A/B/C : Same as MBAC
Arc Drive: Same
NO J.623 WTF??

BnB's
5B 5C 5A 6AA 2C aerial
Basic BnB

5B 5C 5A 6AA 623A/B(input 8 right away) aerial
Show some tricks yo!

5B 5C 5A 6AA 214C aerial
Requires some meter, but very damageable when used.
22A can be added before 214C, but its harder to confirm
a hit for aerial and less damageable.

5B 5C 5A 6AA 22C aerial
Requires meter as well. If you think your opponent
is too far from reach, then use this.  You can add
22A before 22C, but gives out less damage.

5B 5C 5A 6AA 22A 63214C aerial
Not used for midscreen, corner only.

5B 5C 5A 6AA 236B 22C aerial
Requires meter.  To me 236B works out more
then 236A for both midscreen and corners.  It
is hard to confirm a hit off of 236A only because
the move comes out too fast.

Aerials
Aerials are posted on mbaa.mizuumi.net/index.php.Red_Arcrueid.  Concept for those aerials for C-Moon is
the same as H-Moon.

Blockstings and Oki will be explained later once after I get of work today.  This will be finished and hopefully I'll give some stuff about this moon mode for her.  Offically now main as C and H Warc.  Dang, I should of tried her out first before any other characters *shakes head no*.  Oh well, she's WARCLiKE and have a lot fun playing as her.  Let me know if there is anything that should added in, thanks.

Red Arcueid / Re: Warc Combos and Tactics (MBAA)

A lot of the trouble with half moon warc is that for her to really have anything over crescent warc, you need to start doing her crazy tk shinso beam combos and those are by no means easy combos.  Possible, but difficult.

I'm starting to try to learn Full Warc as my alt of the week (F-Sion is still the main!).  Her pressure is actually harder to do than I thought, you really have to be point blank to get into 236A.  Odd.
her 623 move is actually very useful for wake ups.  this also goes by that you can air combo after doing that move.  Also she gives so much damage also well.  But yes F-Warc is kinda hard when it comes to her pressure.

And lastly the only sad thing about H-Warc is that she doesn't have her aerial teleport move.  But overall, she's really good and I would play C and H all day.

Melty Blood Auditorium / Re: best character for a beginner?
« on: March 04, 2010, 08:16:27 PM »
Most people will simply say Nero, not Nrvnqsr. It's how it's pronounced, anyway. (Go play Tsukihime if you want to know why.)

That said, I do agree with initially picking who you like best, though a lot of characters are very complex and hard to grasp initially. I've heard fairly consistently that Tohno and Nanaya are decently beginner-frirendly, Ciel as well. Half of Melty's game is learning the mechanics, then half of the other half is learning opponents, and the other half of that other half is learning the character you pick yourself and getting them into good little combos or effective positions or whatever. All easier said than done, of course.

Me, I personally pick C-Akiha most of the time, but I have no idea where that lays on the "pick up and play" table.
This is true, mainly if your really a beginner then it' all about learning the actual mechanics of the game.  I mean just for me it took me a couple weeks to know all of the stuff.  But if your a SF player then F-Moon would a good startup because learning F-Moon characters is kinda like SF based(this is just my opinion of coarse).

Also Nrvnqsr Chaos= NEVER SCARED!Chaos!!  :toot:

I actually been playing H-Warc lately and watching some vids of her in this style, honestly I really like it a lot for many reasons.  I'll post some stuff for in H at sunday and throw in some good tactics and other stuff.
