Been awhile since i've held one of these, but the encroaching tome of NEC's bell is bringing a call to action. So i'm opening my house, for a Melty gathering which I want to make a monthly thing and perhaps a miniature tournament if enough people show up. Due to recent events the Wasteland has cleared some of the under brush and now can hold more people though this'll be a one day thing. People can stay about max 10 people so packing sleeping bags or other proper sleep gear is advised. As far as the stream situation so far I haven't picked up the equipment and if anyone would like to bring their stream equipment they're welcomed to.

I already have two setups loaded with Melty and ready to go, please bring more setups and a monitor if you can carry , I currently have two monitors for both of my setups. If you want to come either PM me or reply in the thread and i'll add your name to the list. A game is only dead if you let it die, so lets resuscitate this bitch and blow it up!

Tournaments and Events / Re: BBG XIV?: Resurrection?
« on: June 05, 2012, 02:14:25 AM »
The publicity Chibi, MB needs to be better promoted and we need to have better support and more setups. I think it's worth at least one more try. Like asking people the day they want it to happen and then correspond it, that would be kind of cool. Our own type of major you know? Could be sort of a revived BBG, I think it's worth at least one more shot. I mean we know at least those that'll show up, Me, You, LK will go anywhere there's Melty really, Roku will most likely follow LK to the ends of the earth. Kashif, will maybe go so I don't think the idea is too unrealistic.

We need good publicity, earlier planning, also designated people who will bring their setups, the stream issue to be taken care of pre-event instead of fumbling around when it's time for finals. I know the venue fee is a bit of a turn off, but I personally think the game is worth giving it another shot. I mean more people showed up to my house to play melty than TSB events so I know people are willing to play. Like back in the day when you use to make flyers for the events and just those would get me amped I remember the satsuki one *shivers.*

So in-closing I believe it deserves another really hard try, at to not be a tournament on the side. Not to be shoved in the corner like a crying EMO kid a joint collaboration by every one.

I agree with LK, but it'll also probably need to have a different name as well possibly an entirely new event in its self.

I personally think despite the games unfortunate platform release that the community killed it. You can look at other games *cough* Guilty Gear *cough*. Despite the games history and age, GG has been putting out consistent numbers. MBAACC came out and the TSB tourney was like 9 - 10 people deep? Then I have no idea what happened to the second TSB tourney. There's no support what so ever from the community, NECXI was amazing even though we were a smaller tourney we were more hype than Super or any of those other games, as a community we have to strengthen and perform optimally. Even though the game can be awkward to set up, the game will only be as strong as the community.

To be truthful this game will not sell its self, and even if there aren't any "Newer players" there's still the existing players who love the game who's completely stopped all activity. Community strength and dedication is the answer.

Good shit to everyone that came out and made the trip. Even though it was my first tournament back out of the cave the fact that we still played and made it happen despite all the "overwhelming" mainstream games that were around we still played our game and had fun regardless of the "Odds".

DaiAndOh DA tru Gawd -
Thanks for all your hardwork in organizing and staying in control of the event and I look forward to the next event eagerly. Even though we only had one setup, the fact of the  matter is that despite all those you still pushed forward and did an amazing job thank you.

Master Chibi -
HEY FUNNY, It was great seeing you again and we had great matches through out the day. Also the diner was too awesome. I'm looking forward to the Fwarc Mirrors and Caoko vs Chisui. I'll be holding more concept matches and gatherings so i'll contact you.

Comic-Zeus-
I can already see the BS that will ensue from your Croa, so I can't wait to face it. Also god-like bringing your netbook so we can at least play. So thank you very much for that also PM your number so I can contact you when i'm holding gatherings and concept matches.

Mallik -
Thanks for making me your special guest despite the heads grazing that morning it was great meeting you in tournament. Keep your head cool bro and safe trip down south ambassador. And i'll see you at Final Round, and also Good luck in forming The Secret Society Atlanta branch.

Hard Bread -
It was great meeting you and I need that run back in KOF, also I can see the potential in your Faoko so keep at it and you'll be great in no time. Your vast knowledge quickly meshes with any game so just keep practicing and i'll look forward to our next meeting or when I hold my next Concept Matches or Gathering.

Zeal -
Your Aoko is getting there, but you cant go in so hard patience is the name of the game. Aoko maybe simplistic, but she's deep in her options something I myself have to remember and completely fuse into my being so just keep practicing and you'll get it.

Melty Blood Auditorium / Re: MBAACC SRK wiki

Either way I firmly believe it needs to be done, copying pasting is fine information is information as long as it's quality ad easily accessible. Though this game needs to be shoved down the FGC's throats.

Melty Blood Auditorium / MBAACC SRK wiki
« on: January 20, 2012, 10:13:34 AM »
Another associate and I figured that'd it'd be a good idea to help bolster the publicity of CC by creating a wiki for the game on SRK. We've already been approved to create a wiki (PM for information) we just need writers to help it grow. So far from past front page post the game has been received quite positively it's just attaining the knowledge and I figure a thorough wiki right on the site would be the"in your face" publicity necessary to help this game push even higher. Thoughts and ideas on the subject would be greatly appreciated.
