Thanks for the hard work!

Location: Philippines
Opponent: Philippines
Same ISP
Controller: Keyboard

Feedback:
Input detection is currently flawed. My input for dash, jump back, airdash forward is 664796(A+B) and I can pull my desired action consistently, built-in netplay or locally. The input may seem to have a double jump but it doesn't as I can double jump after that. Anyway, cccaster only detects it as 668, eating my 7 and 6(A+B) input. 86(A+B) works fine though

Also, I've tried just crouch blocking everything, and every now and then it doesn't block even though I just held [1] or [3]. Probably because of spikes? But I never experienced those in default netplay even though it's shit and had lots of spikes

No no no, you can 236a relaunch after j214c off anything. 236A > jB is a link - you can't jump cancel 236A.

That's what I was trying to say. I'm not meaning to imply 236a is Jump cancellable on hit. But if he did try 5c2c5b jump cancel, then it certainly wouldn't work. Unless he started off with a bloodwall combo

Do you mean a combo that looks like
Ground > air combo > ex bloodring > 3c otg > pickup > aircombo > ender?
If you use a jump cancel (as in a normal/special then cancelling into a jump) then you can't do the stuff after 3c otg.
If you use [ 5b 236a ] xn > manual jump > aircombo, then you can do the things after 3c otg

You can only use 1 jump cancel in a combo. In the vids you posted, they did
(air ch) land > manual jump > aircombo. Since they haven't used a jump cancel, they can otg relaunch > pickup > aircombo > ender

Shin-nin combo is situational anyway. Only do this when you've used your 5b5c6c but somehow manage to break his guard and confirm into 2b delay 2c

For people who have trouble with the shin-nin combo:
  • You have to delay 2c as much as possible after 2b just like your 2b 2c 6[c] 5c ground combo if ever you decide to go to the 5b5c6c2b route
  • You have to Hj8 (28) as soon as possible
  • jcjb(1) dj DELAY jb(2) jc > ender of choice

Would love to see this through Lobbies

Matchmaking : Users should be able to configure the maximum pings they want in their games and/or the countries they want to play against

I have Directx11 installed and the program's still looking for a directx9 dll. Any workarounds on this?

Melty Blood Auditorium / Re: How do I improve my blockstrings / pressure ?

Thanks for the input.

Well, opponent specific strategies are fine and all, but I want to learn condition them properly, bait and punish them accordingly. So that by the time there are local arcades here in PH (I wish), and hopefully influx and variety of opponents, they wouldn't be able to catch on real quick on my pressure even before finishing a single match with them

« on: November 23, 2010, 04:06:07 AM »
What do you guys have in mind when executing your blockstrings? How do you condition your opponents in baiting them to poke but results in a counter hit in your favor instead, making your opponents block wrong, making them bunker just to punish them afterwards? How do you break their guard?

I played played and played, but every time I'll be on offensive, I feel like I'm using the same blockstrings over and over again and the opponent catches on whatever I wanted to do next. Using VAkiha on MBAC, I even get poked out of 5b!5c blockstring! On Last Blade 2 where Moriya's normals stronger than A are punishable, I rely on A attacks to make them poke wrong, but I always end up getting punished because they know when i'll end my strings. I don't know how to pressure using Jin on BBCS.

I also feel like my gameplay is boring, dull and "just going by the books"

Is having less variety of opponents a factor? I live in the Philippines and finding matches here is pretty hard when they're all fapping to tekken and SF. and delays are quite high when i'm fighting Singaporeans.

I'm glad Leo made it to the top 4 finally, even though he isn't nearly as active as before in their tournament scene. I only saw a few vids of him in wikiwiki.jp

Oh sorry bout that. I meant Hjc8> jb(1) part whiffs. I even do Hjc8>jc but it still whiffs. Should I mash harder? or are there inputs that I need to delay (If so, I suspect it would be the jb(1) dash jb(1) jc part, the delay being jb(1) xx jc.)

Tried all those eye candy settings and it gives me that. But also gives me input delay

yuck my rig can't handle ultra-high settings emulation

Alternate Shin-nin combo, do this off 5B>6C>5C>2B>2C for max damage.

how to do Hjc8? 2 8? doing that, I still whiff the combo

It was an a-cho vid. I don't think they upload human vs cpu matches.

And err.. I thought lambda = u-12  :emo:

After looking around for a bit, i found a pic gallery showing off u-12 (mu) and some of her attacks. From the looks of these pics, it looks like they were really focusing on fanservice when they were designing her character model. Imo i think she is gonna more dangerous than V-13 was. here is the link http://iplaywinner.com/blazblue-cs-screens/famitsu-screen-shots-march-30th-2010/

That's just delicious XP

So she's the Archetype Earth of Blazblue.
Pretty much. Archtype with fanservice ;D

Visual evidence of her being ArchEarth of BB

Anyway, just took a look at the new taokaka
watching Keita, at first I was like "oh, same old except for no knockdown ender" , then after watching Kozu utilizing the taunt loop, I was like "FFFFFFFFF I'm sooo gonna main Tao when I have my PC upgraded!"
