I'll be playing with you guys when I come back to NC in November. It's wierd how even with all these fighting games out now, I'd still rather play Melty / Arcana the most. lol.

2
I would maybe talk to Jon Slayton (who usually offers rides to ReSe) or any of the other Raleigh guys on the SRK NC thread about carpooling. There are also some guys in Durham (TitaniumBeast and SaisyuuKusanagi) but I don't know if they're going to ReSe or not.

We have a pretty good amount of players in the RDU area, so I'm pretty sure you'll be able to find a ride.

Here is the SRK link..... This is also the same link for any ReSe tournaments in the future (or past), as the TO just updates the first post every month for new events / info.

The attendee list should give everyone an idea of how the turnout the will be. The idea to push this forward also came into conjunction with some of NC's Arcana community as well (which is why there is a list for Arcana as well). So it made sense as Brian (the TO) also mentioned that he's full support of these games starting this June.

ZomB, I apologize if this event may cause any conflict. I'm the same person who gave my own tournament winnings to help the NC Arcana scene. The last thing I would ever want to do, is trash an event or ruin someone else's plans to better the community.

Regardless, I hope to see a strong showing for the people who can afford to go to both events!!

Cool, I'll add you to the list. See you there.  :)
But yeah, I'll be in full support for whenever July comes around as well. Kinda like what you said, it's great to see more events. Just the exposure itself will be good for Melty.

5
Edit : This is not the event ZomB is talking about, but it will be held at the same venue and run by the same TO.  MBAACC will be there.

ReSe for the first time will be supporting and running AH3 and Melty. With very few TO's that still support these games, I hope to see people try to take the opportunity, and come out to support! Hope to see you guys there!

Were there any recordings of the tournaments?

What were the results for Arcana

9
Was there supposedly a problem with them?  They  seemed to work fine for me.  :V

10
Will there be a stream for Arcana and Melty?  Or at least recordings?

Regional Community / Re: GA Melty Blood Players, where are you?
« on: January 05, 2012, 07:09:54 AM »
Anyone live near (like 45 minutes or less) Savannah, GA?  I'd like to have at least one other person to play against in this game.

Is Savannah near ATL, Fayetteville, or Riverdale?

All of those places are basically in the exact same proximity.  :psyduck:

Savannah is on the coast/beach, so it's about a 4 hour drive from those locations. I guess I kinda expected there wouldn't be anyone to play against in this area (just moved here like a week ago). Prolly about time to pick up a new hobby...  :V

After reading your other explanation, you could be right...  Though I already expected something like Roa's 236B to have crossup protection (hits one way first, crosses over, and attacks before blockstun is over).... That's the kind of crossup protection I'm used to seeing from my experience with other games.... But not stuff where the first actual attack is a crossover... Though I guess it's something specific to Melty.

EDIT : Tested it on the PS2 Melty. Looks like even with the jA, you can block it either way as long as it's high. D:

He definitely just blocked that straight up. The j2C was originally a crossup to begin with, so there was no crossup protection....

But you know you got some serious mixups when you're catching people on youtube with them. xD  :laffo:

STAND ALONE VERSION

Yeah, I'm hoping for this too.... it's not that hard to make a downloadable game. Plus, there's little risk for the company when they make a game downloadable (no money spent on shipping or packaging).

16
I think it would be a good idea to have configurable buttons ingame. Also, keyboard support.

Yeah I agree.  Button configuration should also be available in-game as well.

And make the button configuration available at the character select screen.

17
I wonder if they're doing that to release after kof13 trial release.. seems like kof wants to compete with MB to me or maybe MB wanted to compete with kof... those guys from snk did the same thing for years for their game (nothing) enow they think graphics and copying ideas can save them.. It would look bad to MB if it looks like MB and KOF are competing. Hope thats the reason it was delayed..

If Melty was directly competiting with KOF, it would have (at least) been released on the same consoles that SNK released KOF XIII on...

18
I'd tell you *comma* but you didn't end that question in a question mark.

D:

19
I wonder how this will affect the zoning by movement/mobility (as opposed to zoning by using attacks) if everyone has so much range? Unless maybe the screen pans out when characters distance themselves or something, giving more room for people to jump, walk, dash, etc.

Melty Blood Auditorium / Re: The MB:AA:CC thread: Current Code 1.07
« on: December 08, 2011, 02:07:27 AM »
According to Inso, he also ask people to send opinions about what they would like to see added in the new Melty Blood. Seems a good time for community feedback, since they'll patch it even after Dec/31.

How about being able to change controls in game without having to exit and remap buttons.  :prinny:

This.....

And make the button mapping so that you just have to press a single button to map (like BB, AH3, etc).  :)

Oh cool. Thanks for the info Hyper Omega Super Sonic.   Looks like my laptop can run this game just fine.  Now just to wait til December 12.  Hopefully they gots Archetype Earth on there too. :)

Probably is true... Haven't seen a P.Ciel since 1.07 came out.  :V

23
I've been trying to find vids of C-Hime players... All I ever see is F.  :(

24
Personally, I'm fine with how the stages look. Just as long as they add in some stylin music to go along with it.  8-)
