Ok that helped thank you for the link. Now the game does open but another error message pops up saying Direct3D and some more that is unreadable.

I was expecting more complex/good looking/fast combos, less need for ex abuse, waaay less visual polution and more speed..

Well those were only from the official site. I'm not surprised that they are just flashy. We'll have to wait until more players get footage from the loketests before we see more advanced looking stuff.

That's saying the game isn't accessible since you'll need to play for 40 days before you can compete on an even level with the current best.  Using your rpg analogy change the level cap to 100 and the last 10 levels take a day each, that is you can get close to the top fast but that last stretch is a pain in the ass.

Are you trolling?  A game is ridiculously shallow if someone can pick up the game and compete with the current best in less than 40 days.  Even 40 days is way too little time for someone to be able to pick up a game and become the best.

LOL I love that you said this. I was thinking the exact same thing.

Melty imo is one of those games that's accessibility comes from it's simple inputs. It's not difficult to perform the moves so pretty much anyone can pick up the game, choose any character and get the moves down quick enough. But when it comes to depth, that is a whole separate issue. The depth of Melty is staggering. I've realized that myself after watching videos of high level play and observing matchup discussions and whatnot. I actually am one of those players who "thought" I was halfway decent at this game not too long ago but now I see exactly how FAR I am from the level of skill I thought myself to be at.

Aegis is supposedly a real beast in this game. Easily high tier.

Oh man, my newly found LoL addiction has been getting in the way of MB. I've been spending quite a bit of time in training mode in AA but I haven't committed to learning frame data or anything in depth with CC coming out so soon.

So I managed to get a MBAA setup but the only problem is I don't have any PS2 sticks. I'm at the GA tech friday casuals pretty much every week so I'll have a set up there if anyone is coming to that.

Oh for real? Are you going to be there this Friday as well? If so, I'm definitely gonna show up.

I've been showing up almost every week but mostly for marvel. I had a set up like 2 or 3 weeks ago but it was just me messing around in training mode for a few hours. We should exchange contact information so we can meet up.

Same here. I'm pretty much using to keep me occupied until I can get CC. I know when I do I'll be playing the hell out of it.

I'm curious about Naoto and the death counter. I wonder if it's effect will be based on the SP or persona gauge in anyway. Like the amount of damage it causes is based on how much SP you have or how depleted the persona gauge is.

He wants both. He likes how Satsuki is played (watched YouTube vids and all) but he wants to learn the game more before he gets into Satsuki because he finds her challenging to use as a first time character.

That makes sense. Well I'm not sure what to say but if I may make a character recommendation, he could give Akiha or Ryougi a try. I started with them and it wasn't too hard to learn their basics.
