Let's learn Hokuto no Ken.
The fighting game with a cast of big-burly men? Eh...I think I'll pass...

I'm pretty new to the Melty Blood scene myself and I'd love to play some people in person (though I'm not too good myself). I like the sound of a session Blaze. I'd love to get to know the community more myself. :D
To be honest at this point there are only 3 of us that are still into the Melty scene here in Sac (the rest are waiting for Actress Again). If you'd still like to play sometime what's a good day for you? Because of the State budget crisis I've recently been laid off from work so my schedule's pretty open for the time being. lol

Thanks for the Reply Blaze about the picture.:)

and I recently got MB finally with the net play caster thing. if anyone wants to play, just ask...

but i'm practically new and below average or average.

depending on uh what average is.
I want to play some melty blood.
If either one of you are in the Sac area and want to play in person let me know and I'll set up a session.

Don't think it was MTG... lol~  The friend I was talking about was Tee/Nick/Allen (goes by either of those names).  He said he saw a character from MB as your desktop wallpaper.  You guys talked and you ended up mentioning me (or he did, don't remember).  Small world though.

Yea, he asked me "Do you know about that game?" and I looked at him and said, "What a minute...YOU know about Melty!?" We've been friends ever since lol

Oh Blaze there are a bunch of MtG players here too, so if you want to bring a couple decks someone may be up for a game. ^_^

lol I hope this community CPR helps.
This CPR helps more than you know...
I have a few decks but the friends I'm bringing kill me in MtG so I'm sure they'll be up for a challenge.

And if the story involves Magic: The Gathering cards, yes I know...lol

Oooh...elaborate pl0z!
Not much to elaborate on...other than Nick fuckin CHEATING with his BANNED CARDS!!! Fuckin "Stone Rain"... >:(

Totally thought you guys died. XD;
Yea, I thought we were dead too until a friend forced me to get back into things.

Too bad I don't play MB anymore. :\

Blaze, my friend told me a funny story how he met you at work at the DMV.  I'm sure you know who I'm talking about. :V
It's too bad that you don't play anymore. I'd like to get ready for BlazBlue so maybe I can play you in that one day?
And if the story involves Magic: The Gathering cards, yes I know...lol

So what happened to everyone?  Did you guys all die? :V

For the most part yes but I wouldn't mind getting back into things. Me and Nick A are pretty much the only ones who seriously continue to play Melty from the original group. Everyone else seems to have gone off for other things until Actress Again comes out. I wouldn't mind having sessions again if I knew more than two people would show up.  :-\

Eh? No one within the Sac area wants to play??? It's annoying to hear complaints from certain people about how there's no scene in Sac when no one responds whenever I try and make something happen. (And by certain people, I mean members of the Sac group itself...)

If this keeps up, I'll just have to turn straight to netplay I guess.

ALRIGHT! Anyone down for a session this Saturday at Sac State? I don't care if it's the usual Sac group as long as it's more than just me, Sentenru, and Cpt. Nanners. After returning from playing in the arcade halls in Japan I'm fired up to play some games!  :toot:

Niggers don't eat sushi. NONE FOR YOU

I'm having trouble deciding whether I should be mad and offended or just raise an eyebrow at the way everyone is using this fucking word. Don't you guys have any other ways to address each other that won't cause any racial confusion???

11
Is your San Jose tournament set for the 22nd of this month for sure? If it isn't, I'll just throw in that Sac may be able to make it to a later date.

12
Good games from yesterday everyone! It was a lot of fun and well worth the trip. Next time we come down, me and Cpt. Nanners will piss you guys off some more while wowing you with our Melty AND Arcana Heart skillz!  ;D

What's the turnout for tomorrow looking like? Right now me, Cpt. Nanners, Satsujinki, and Chun are making plans to head down there tomorrow.

How much is parking there on the weekend and how long are you guys planning on sessioning?

Good shit for trying to take the initiative Dakanya! The Sac group has been ready for a tourney for awhile but the timing is always bad for us. The 22nd should be fine for Cpt. Nanners and Sentenru if they want to go but I'll still be in Japan at that time. I'll be glad to consider going down for a March 29th session if you guys are still up for it though.

K, we need to host another tourney I've been dying to play in one for a while.

Who's got ideas?

~Chun

The best things that I can think of would be to do something at Sac State again or somewhere within UC Davis that you happen to scout out.

You're going to WTX right?

I wish I could, but I had decided to save my money for my trip to Japan next month. Sentenru is broke as always, and Cpt. Nanners lost interest since me and Sentenru aren't going.  :(

How much MPG does it get and how old is it? o_0

It's pretty good with MPG where it gets around 30 or so in. It's model is 2002. The problem is that I'm having some issues with my transmission. There will be times when my car will refuse to go over 2000 RPM while I'm on the freeway and it makes a screeching noice when I try to push it...  ???

I have some stories to tell you sac guys about Sac-Anime. lol

Please share!  ;D

Quick question: Is there a reason why the guys coming from Sac (Sentenru, Capt. Nanners, Blaze) can't drive directly to WTX?

This has to do with seat provisioning and lack of cars. I have plans for either response so rather than worrying too much about the question, a quick response would be the most desirable.

Thanks guys.

The reason is that both Sentenru and Cpt. Nanners don't have cars of their own. I have my little Hyundai Accent but I refuse to drive all the way to WTX from Sacramento as I don't know how my car will hold up.

I've tried everything and me and Varn are the only one's that will be able to make it. Idolo says that his appearance is a "maybe" and even then he probably wouldn't stay very long. Like you said Mir, us alone is probably not worth the drive over here so we can try something again another day. If anything, Tony would be open to play tomorrow since he doesn't have work then.

Spirit Juice, it's cool if you're still asleep. To be honest, me and Varn were up until 3 this morning playing games at Chun's place. I'm shocked I'm awake now...

Eh...Cpt. Nanners will be pullin a vampire tomorrow and will be asleep all day. Me and Sentenru are still down for going. Right now, we're the only ones confirmed to go from our side.

Spirit Juice & Mir:
We're still down to do something tomorrow in regards to a session. But it's ok if you guys can't make it. If possible, can you let me know by tomorrow morning at around 10 or so? I'd really hate to pick up Tony and Varn, drive all the way up to Sac State, and be there with just the three of us when we can do something else.

Ok guys. We need to discuss WTX driving and room arrangements.

People I THINK are going:

Sentenru ?
Blaze ?
Capt. Nanners ?

  • Whether or not you can go.
  • Whether or not you can drive.
  • When you need to get back by.
  • Any other relevant information to get this thing organized.

As of now, me, Cpt. Nanners and Sentenru all plan on going. I'm the only one in our group who can drive but I'll only be able to drive up to San Jose to meet other people. I know me and Sentenru don't really care about when we come back but Cpt. Nanners may have work Monday morning.

I got nothing better to do, I might show up. Let me know if y'all decide to hold one =)

I'm trying to contact Chun and see if he still wants to do something at UC Davis. There's no answer yet but we can still do something at Sac State if Davis doesn't work out again.
