I'll be there like always, even if we don't sponsor the event.

(Planned for next Sunday evening (10/13) 4pm PST)
Hi guys,

I haven't talked to my 2 other co-hosts about this possibility of a show, but there's probably still an audience, albeit small and scattered, but I wanted to do one last proper show, even if it is by myself.

This will be a full blown show about my experience with the community, including what we did right as a community, and where we faltered as a community. This isn't a show about how to revive the community or discredit the community, it's mostly just a historical piece, and something other communities can learn from.

I will be accepting call-ins after the topic is covered. Also a warning, I'm not going to sugar coat anything, but you guys should know that by now. I'm going to apologize now that I will probably offend a lot of people, but as always it isn't personal unless stated.

Even if you aren't a part of the community, I invite you to listen to the show, you may learn something!

Hey y'all,

Just thought I'd put up a post if anyone is interested in streaming their Melty Blood adventures, or anything else.

I've been streaming for a long time, I started picking up the hobby when Sp00ky started, and learned everything from him back then, I've branched off now since I'm mostly a PC streamer, but I dabble in console streaming too still. If you guys have any questions, feel free to drop a line.

I'll be constantly adding more things to this thread so keep checking it out!

BASIC STREAMING TOOLS:

Open Broadcaster Software
http://obsproject.com/
Maintained by Jim, it's an Open Source program for streaming. A little bit to learn, but for those wanting to run a simple clean stream with great quality, check this out!

XSplit:
http://www.xsplit.com/
The Classic New-Age streaming program. Maintained by a handful of members of their community it's a full featured streaming program that many streamers these days use for full productions!

Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder:
http://www.adobe.com/products/flash-media-encoder.html
The original streaming program many people started off with. Not as full featured, but still works well.

Gamecenter is in San Mateo.

The game is dead if you want to play it just go on mizuumi irc (irc.mizuumi.net) and join channel #mbaa and netplay me

Hey, Mizuki thanks for putting up this thread. I'd like to stream either youtube vids or CC netplay matches in the future but my laptop is rather "meh". Was wondering if you could provide me with information on the best settings I can use for optimal streaming quality with the equipment I'm currently using. Also, the software I'm using is the default that twitch provides which is xsplit. Below are specs. Hope this helps.

Laptop
Windows 7 Home Premium/Service Pack 1
Processor: AMD-E450 APU w/ Radeon HD Graphics 1.65 GHz
RAM: 4.00 GB (3.60 usable)
64-bit OS

Internet
According to Speedtest.net
(Ran three separate tests)

down
19.21, 19.94, 20.37 mbps

up
2.04, 2.0, 1.99 mbps

If you need more info than this, please let me know and I'll post up ASAP!

Is this a netbook?

Anyways, put MBAACC as lowest settings, run it at 640x480 settings.

For your stream, use Open Broadcaster Software, and try natively streaming at 640x480 at 30 fps. For your upload try running at 500kbps and audio at like the mid range. If you have any problems let me know I can tweak more settings for you, but this should be fine. If it doesn't work with 480p try 480x360.

15
I get an error with startup menu, what is this?
Is the caster in your MBAACC folder, are you up to date (1.4.0)? Also try running as admin.

I haven't played melty blood in over year and i didn't patch it lol

15:55 <@only_SK_mobile> as well as bell

I might be in the area... Although if anything of the past couple of weeks my schedule is really sporadic so it would be a last minute type of thing, but I'd enter Melty if I did show up.

21
North Carolina???? Is there even airports there?

has netplay been significantly improved now or should I just go back to mindlessly chanting "fuck ecole"?

edit: what about the "lingering portrait" ex bug on certain stages?

When the portrait litterally stays out there in the middle of fucking nowhere either for a bit, or it is layered wrong, aka the obelisk stage iirc
