I'll ask Larry if something can be done about that. I think it's just more of "hook up and find the hotel internet."

2
I'll get the word out. I'm interested to see how this goes.

3
Confirmed. The 2nd permit has been denied and there will be no generator present in time for the event. I am going to be in NY from 28th - 1st. Let's kick it at NL or something.

4
The one problem I have with this date is the player count I expected for a weekend with no tournament. I don't want people to choose between them but if ALL of you wanna run this shit, I've no problems.

5
Seems like that IS the same weekend as Summer Jam. Welp...

Most of the time, 4C is supposed to hit twice. Be sure to not immediately do 4C if the opponent is too high, might need to delay it a little more. The second combo can't work if you are doing the next 5C too fast since you have already done a 5C prior to this. On the way strings work in Melty, you cannot use the same attack twice in the same string (except for A attacks). That combo only works when the game sees you are not doing a string. There is enough time for the game to do that and land another 5C after 6AA. 5C takes timing to do within itself so have fun with that. You'll get the hang of it.

Two updates:

1) I've got the time off. This shindig has an official date: Saturday, August 17th at the Gazebo.

2) As of tonight, I have applied for a permit to use the Gazebo for that day. I'll be updating you all whenever I get work back from the city about the permit. When the permit is finalized, you will release the social flood gates to get the wheel turning on this event's success.

Just cross your fingers guys.

Be sure you're charging j.2C. Hold down the C button while you're doing it. That's what BE (Charged) stands for. Also, once you get that down do 2B as early as possible when you land it.

10
Of course, I want a head count to see who would come out to this dig...ya dig?
IMO don't even bother with this shit. You set your fucking date after everything has been finalized and post it up. I'm sure people won't hesitate to duck friends, family, and gf to make it out to a BBG and if they ain't making moves to get out to NYC for one...well, then they're fucking up and that's on them.

People WILL show, mang (The magic # is 8 lol). August is ample time to prepare. Make it happen, capt'n!!

Also...I have to practice for this so I can not be utter garbage come tourney time.  :gonk:

It's not like a head count as in numbers but I see where you could get that from. I was just interested as in WHO was coming instead of how many. The shit is going down regardless.

Zar and St1ckbug gave me what I needed. I'm going in.

For those who don't know already, I'm spending my vacation in August at NYC to chill out and visit a couple places. St1ckbug hit me up and told me he would like to make another BBG happen once I get my dates figured out (which I am still working on; it will be in August though). So there, I'm going to run my own Battle By the Gazebo with the information Zar gave me on running the permit game in the city. Of course, I want a head count to see who would come out to this dig...ya dig?

Another reason is that my dates haven't been confirmed to when I'm heading to NYC. Just know it has to be in August and I'll be here for about a week and a half. This is a one day event that will probably happen either on Friday or Saturday. If there is a day that would be good for everyone guaranteed attendance, it would help my scheduling a lot. I also don't want to conflict with any majors going on around the area unless everyone just decides to run this instead of going to whatever major is happening.

Since this is a BBG, I want to be sure everyone from the areas surrounding to show up and make this a memorable experience for me personally since I have always wanted to go to a BBG myself. I'm saying this because y'all my niggas and I finally have a chance to get up there to play whoever's left to fight. Don't make me beg pls. ;_;

Related inquiries can go here too. I do need a place to stay for a couple days if you got one. :3

Hey Shinobi, you wouldn't happen to know how to screencap and display through Skype, would you? Would like to sneak in some commentary if possible, assuming you'll be 100% on streaming this later in the week.

It should be possible if you are the only person in the call. I'll test whenever I get my internet installed.

13
I can do a stream later this week since I'm getting new internet tomorrow. I'll let everyone know.

The final count of entrants for Melty this year was 44. Top 8 replays + Sp00ky's sets with LK (ft5), Generic (ft3), and me (ft2) are on MadScientist's laptop. I have a little cam footage but it won't do you niggas any good. Just wait for the replays so you can see my drunk ass play Melty.

15
should be possible for me to go I'll see other details this upcoming week
Um it doesn't seem melty friendly for a tournament. Please confirm!!

It can be if we have enough people. More of a tune-up for Final Round though.

16
I extend a hand to Atlanta to come by B'ham for our Final Round tune up monthly on the 16th. I think ZomB is trying to make it.

17
I hate to see a bulk of your entrants be on site like last year. I'll be sure to not let that happen. I know way more than 4 people who are going to play this year.

18
Now is the time I start asking for setups and finalizing the list. Gonna need your help with 4-6 setups so this thing can run on time and smoothly. I also need an interest check on a team tournament/special event that Saturday night.

Hope you still got a shirt for me, Larry! :D

Melty Blood Auditorium / Re: The History of the Melty Blood Community

I've always imagined a documentary on the community and/or the anime scene in general. Let me know if you need anything from me before or during FR Chibs. :D

20
Those were fixed already? I was under the assumption they weren't but still I haven't checked patch notes in forever. Thanks Dippy.

21
- 99 seconds.
- 2/3 rounds, 2/3 matches, 3/5 finals (winner's/loser's/grand)
- Winner cannot change characters but allowed to change moons.
- Loser can change both if he wants.
- Eclipse Moon characters are banned.
- Archetype Earth "Megaman" glitch is banned.

That's pretty much it. If I'm missing anything, someone let me know.

22
There will always be a 3v3 as long as I'm holding this shit. First National Red vs. White as well. Do your best to make it everyone.

23

Count me in negroes. Now someone come get me from the airport. D:

I guess I'm going to Philly instead of NY early this year.

25
Ok guys. I got a venue for Nigga's Garden and its the same place that the Bama monthly will be at:

Top Games
1058 Main Street
Gardendale, AL 35071

I'm still working with Isaac to see what's a good time to open up doors. I'm guessing GG6 will start around 8/31 9PM CST (9/1 11AM JST) so I'll be sure doors are open for games and shits before then. There are a couple hotels in the vicinity (cheap iirc but I'ma do more research) if you want to crash between or after GODS and the monthly. There is a door fee of $10 because we're using up these guys' resources and internet but that's only for those who will be around and watching GG6 with us.

If you're sticking around that Saturday afternoon, come back to that venue for our monthly! We're holding everything from AE to P4U; all on X360 iirc. Lemme know if you guys have any questions. I should have some more info in the coming days but atleast you have a venue to look forward to!
