Akiha's Tea Room / Playing online with PCSX2?
« on: August 21, 2009, 11:01:08 AM »
If there's a way to play MBAA PS2 online, it will be really fantastic.

Well some games like Monster Hunter can be played online with latest PCSX2 release.

Quote
Drunk Together at Last!
[ Posted by CKemu 17:43 on 01 09 07 ]
GiGaHeRz did it!! *hic* *wobble*...erm, oh I'd best explain I suppose!

DEV9 is a section of the PS2 which handles a variety of things; HDD, USB and ethernet. GiGaHeRz has been working on one aspect of DEV9, ethernet!

PCSX2 now supports PS2 ethernet, so what does that mean? ONLINE PLAY BABY. On August 30th 2007 GiGaHeRz successfully logged on to the official Capcom Monster Hunter servers and entered a town, briefly after his success I to logged in and joined him!

Subsequently most of the betatesting and development team have logged onto Monster Hunter, interacted with people playing on their real PS2's and even gone questing with each other; including other Monster Hunter players.

This is a significant moment for PCSX2, as we are perhaps one of the first emulation projects to ever let the emulator user connect to a real live official server and play their game online. The only other project we are aware of; that has even come close to this feat would be nullDC (a Dreamcast emulator for Windows).

Testing is ongoing with a variety of online games, and the lack of USB keyboard and mouse support (hopefully to be resolved soon), means PAD typing messages is the only way to communicate online.

This advance towards emulating some of the more "unique" features of the PS2 has once again put into sharp focus the need for you to dump your own BIOS. The specifics I won't detail here, however those of you downloading your BIOS will suffer the consequences.

We shall let you know of further progress with any games we get to go online, but Monster Hunter is a fantastic example of how well PS2 emulation can work, average framerates of 50-70 FPS, with lows of 35 in intense moments. Monster Hunter is utterly stable, I myself have been playing it for some time only noticing minor visual issues on rare occasions.

So here for your pleasure is a video of us just saying hello, and 80 (both general and online) screenshots!...now if you don't mind, we've got alcohol to consume *hic*

Would there a way to play netplay with MBAA?

Maybe some methods like transmitting the keyboard input of player2 to player1 via internet can slove the problem.

Though I think it's the best way to wait for the PC version it's hard having a netplay directly with an emulator,

it seems there is a way to bypass the limitations of PS2 emulator.

Akiha's Tea Room / Any Australian melty players?
« on: June 12, 2009, 02:51:24 AM »
Tomorrow I go to Australia as a university abroad.

I'll be studying there for 4 years and I'm gonna make some foreign buddies.

I wonder if there will be any Melty Blood arcades, or at least a netplayer in the country.

Is there any Australians here? I'm going Perth, Western Australia.

I used certain program to extract mbac sprite from a .p file.

It's all PNG format images and containing opacity values.

I moved it to different folders and made each of them as an archive so that you can download.

Hope this help peoples doing mugen production or any other sprite works.

« on: May 14, 2009, 05:42:28 AM »
1. Nemutora (ねむとら)

Nemutora was one of the best mech-player ever, though I'm not sure he's still using mech.

Here's some of his match videos, see for yourself.

The player's very skillful, using appropriate jetpacks, nice combos, whatever good management.

And the mech-hisui herself is very improved since mbac, short delays for every attacks and added various combos.

I hope mech will be a cool character as Ciel in mbac

Akiha's Tea Room / ronaldnator: Terminator OST Ronald Mcdonald version

This clip was made by some korean guy, and it's just awesome.

I love the Terminator series, and the original sound track.

Main theme of the Terminator is kinda... make people think serious about the value of life.

But after I saw this clip, I thought mankind have no tommorow.

Akiha's Tea Room / Will MBAA have voice in dialogues?
« on: November 14, 2008, 07:46:28 PM »
As you know, there are no voices for the characters out of sound effects.

Why didn't Ecole put voices in arcade/story mode dialogues?

And will they make additional voices in later patches/expansion packs? (if it comes out)

MINCARTOON SYSTEMS PRODUCTION ⓒ2008.10.29 All Rights Reserved

Main Features:

1.NLE(Non Linear Editing) with Adobe Adobe Premiere™ Pro CS3™
Non Linear Editing is now kinda essential point in the Multimedia operations.
Adobe Adobe Premiere™ Pro CS3™ is the flagship software in the video industries.
With the help of the Premeier, I intersect the AGK/in game scenes to maximize the visual immersion.

2.Sophisticated audio editing with Audio Mixer in the Premiere
Imoprtance in the sound can be compared with the total movie layout.
There's a precedent in the NicoNico Dongwa, which used a pro-studio quality softwares to create a Keyboard Crasher UCC.
I've used in-program audio mixer, which is not outstripped than other sound editors.
Total 6 audio layers were used, and over 20 effects have applied to composite/edit/correct the audio system.

Especially in the first Neco/Mech battle, I separate the BGM/SFX tracks to realize the crossovers between Out/In game scenes.
This also enables the BGM track to use CD quality audios which is impossible to get with the in-Fraps recording system.

3.Using the High quality source files to create a UCC
Most of the AGK parodies were origined from downloaded Flash videos, which are encoded at least one time.
I downloaded the direct avi file to decrease the jitter, FPS and bitrate of the file.
The final product was saved with Apple Quicktime™'s super-quality video codec, H.264 and Loseless  PCM audio compression.
And in the upload process, I choose the Korea's best UCC portal, Mgoon(Korean server, may slow bufferings in other nations) that provides over 1000kbps bitrate and unlimited play time.
Also for the Out-of-Korea users, I uploaded low quality version which can be accessed via Google Videos™.

4.Special guests to obtain advices, ideas
I visited various MB communities including MeltyBread.com.
With the help of Korean IRC users and other advisors, I could get combo files and ideas in creating the file.
In the intro video, Kijea was shown with his Mech-hisui(black colour), which was obtained under his permission in the netplay.
However, at the first stage (Neco vs Mech) I played the role of the Mech-Hisui after numerous practices. :)

5.Big-scale manufacture period (about 7 days)
Me in the Highschool, and generally Korean highschool students don't have time to do a shit like this.
But my highschool, which is speciallized in Science & Mathematics have an earlier university decision.
Me actually concluded the university and have a plenty of time to do a crap.  ;)

6.Mincartoon Systems Multi-Language Service
Originally I only posted Korean version.
But at the second thought, I reallized that there's no Melty AGK parodies in the US websites, so I immediately started to make the English subs.
I'm also planning to make a japanese version which will be posted in NicoNico Dongwa.

The Youtube shit doesn't allow medias over 10 minutes so I choose google videos.
It will be best if you see via Korean server (Mgoon.com) but it can be slow in some places so I post the both URLs.
It's my draft work but I hope you guys like my movie.
I'll expect your supports.

Sincerely, mincartoon

Akiha's Tea Room / [Nanaya 3D MAD MOVIE] Seven Nights Under a Red Moon
« on: September 20, 2008, 06:45:18 AM »
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-GUg-t8eIY

I've finished the 3D models quite a long days ago, but I've got my school exam and I'm having a late introduction.

I've made it with 3D studio Max using mental ray renderer.

I used a fast skin shader to express the material of smooth, and glossy feelings.

I've only modeled the face, so I couldn't make the film longer.

It results a 4-times-longer credit title than the main theme.

This is a lot better than the previous version, but still needs a lot of improvements.

It's only a part of my little experimentation, though.

When I have time, I'll create the rest part of the Nanaya.

You just wait, to see his time comes.

Used Tools: Autodesk 3ds max 9.0, Adobe Photoshop CS2

Used Plugins: Texporter

Used Renderer: V-ray(draft), Mental ray(production)

Used Modifiers: FFD, Symmetry, Edit Poly, Meshsmooth

Operation Time: about 6 hours

I've made nanaya shiki with 3ds max.

It's been 5 years since I started 3ds max.

I was 13 than, attending elementary school.

Though I begin max early, I was never good at character modeling.

Partially because I was interested in mechanics those days.

But now, as I am addicted to melty blood and toho project, I decided to start character design.

My first target was Nanaya because he was male (easy to modeling), and he was one of my favorite character.

Though it's a very coarse work, I am kinda encouraged by my first job, and will continue to make melty blood 3d models.

Someday, when time comes, I gonna make short 3D Melty blood film.

Akiha's Tea Room / September 9 is Len's Birthday!
« on: September 08, 2008, 05:43:46 PM »
In my country(Korea), today is September 9.

And in the morn, when I opened the melty blood, I see a surprising screen!

Len and White len was eating a cake larger than their size.

It was an amazing sight, and I saw a little text, "HAPPY BIRTH DAY, LEN!"

I today realize that it was Len's birthday.

Me wonder other characters have an easter egg like this.

I've heard that in Christmas, there's a similar hidden title screen like this.

Anyway, Happy birthday to little cat and the tsundere, and any other peoples that September 9 is birthday!

I use susie and the plugins, but plugin only works for React.

Also it reads only some CGs, voices, sound effects.

How can I rip all the data?

And where the hack does "Splitdat.exe" works for? (there's no appropriate dat file to split!)

Akiha's Tea Room / Why so Serious?
« on: August 13, 2008, 12:36:05 AM »

"Why so Serious?"

I've watched the film "dark knight" and it was so~ an awesome movie!

Heath Ledger was a demon himself, I wondered how he absorbed the character "Joker".

It was such a sorry that he passed away and I've drew this picture with a memory of him.

The girl who is smiling is "Kohaku" who showes herself in the video game "Melty Blood".

She always smiles in the game, but behind her smiles, her dark side of sadness is shown.

She is smart, and a "Schemer", which is not the same as Joker does.

Whatever you think the similarity between her and the Joker, I think she's the best

character to say a quote, "Why so Serious?"
