Oh god this character is just so sad, why am I making this thread.

Meanwhile some cool combos

corner variant
5A 5B 2B 5C 2C 6C j.ABC dj8.beC slight delay j.214A land j.BC dj.beC j.A(whiff) j.214A (for oki) near the ground

Lets you do some cool stuff for oki with j.[C] to start stuff with.

midscreen variant
5A 5B 2B 5C 2C 6C j.ABC dj9.beC slight delay j.214B land j.BC dj.beC j.A (whiff) j.214A/B (depending on distance for oki) near the ground

Character has some interesting combos, but I still think she's ass especially in neutral.

Will be adding content to the first post as this thread goes on. 214A change fucks with us in the corner and it becomes character specific on who 2C will cross under or not. Really messes with us. However, we got buffed custom combos.

Current combos I'm using

2A 5BB 2B 5C 2C 6C j.AAC land j.BC dj.BC j.236B

Against Akiha 2A 5BB 2B 5C 63214C 8X 6X 8X 6X 8X 6X 8X 4X(whiff) 5A 5C j.BC dj.BC j.236B - 4.1k with full reduce. 5.7k without. Off of j.C it's 4.4k to 6.2k

Let that sink in for a second... The damage is absurd... I think C-Ryougi is now just "KILL THEM NOW WHO CARES ABOUT MIXUP" character. Sadly i think her okizeme is pretty weak unless you sacrifice a lot of damage now :/. Can't even link together full custom combos anymore with how they changed the gravity on the moves.

Will add more later

Don't feel like getting the other thread cluttered. Gonna post combos in the first post as well as other information when we get it. If you find stuff, post it and I can add it.

COMBOS

Combo damage will be on the default training dummy VSion with no reduce.

Corner BnB with corner space BE236B oki: 5B 2B 2C xx 5C BE236B xx 632147B 5B 2B 2C 632147B 5B 2B 2C xx 5C BE236B - 4791 damage 123 meter gain.

  • After doing this combo, you can: delay neutral jump drift forward. With good timing, is also a safejump.

Corner BnB with 623A oki: 5B 2B 2C xx 5C BE236B xx 632147B 5B 2B 2C 632147B 5B 2B 2C xx 5C BE236B 632147B 5B 2B 2C 4C 66 j.C j.63214A 5B 2B 2C 623A - 5793 damage 212 meter gain.

  • For oki on this one, on a normal wakeup speed, you wait until they hit the ground and then superjump forward for safejump timing.

Midscreen -> Corner close variantthis is assuming around the 2P starting position to corner 5B 2B 2C 5CC j.C xx j.B 5B 2B 2C ->rest of the combo you want to use
ie: 5B 2B 2C 5CC j.C xx j.B 5B 2B 2C xx 632147B 5B 2B 2C xx 5C BE236B 632147B 5B 2B 2C 4C airdash j.C j.63214A 5B 2B 2C 623A - 4566 damage 203 meter gain

  • Note that you've already used up a wallslam.
  • For the j.C xx j.B timing, it's a very slight delay, wait for the hitstop of j.C to end and then press j.B so you can land on the ground and get your 5B

Midscreen -> Corner far variant5B 2B 2C 5CC j.B j.C 5B 2B 2C -> rest of your combo based on wallslam or not.

  • You can be about 3 character lengths outside your corner to the middle of the screen on this one

Midscreen -> Corner from the corner 5B 2B 2C 5CC j.B j.C 623B j.BC dj.BC airdash j.A airthrow - 3628 damage 81 meter gain

Will post more useful things later on. Just want to get the clutter out of the main Arc thread. Post your findings!

I prefer to look at this in list view, which is accessible if you have a google account.

the ones i don't know that have までand then some kanji. I should ask someone to translate that.

Tournaments and Events / 11/10 C3 presents the November Tournament
« on: November 01, 2007, 09:20:52 PM »
Location:
44710 Cape Court #118
Ashburn, VA 20147

Time: Come around 4:00 PM. All fighters usually arrive around 4:00 PM. We're really flexible on joining time. Last time we started the tournament at 7:00 PM. We had a lot of delays since people were in multiple tournaments as usual, so expect it.

Format: Double elimination singles. Seeded by general skill levels. Best 2 out of 3. for Winners finals, Losers finals, and grand finals are best 3 out of 5.

Stations: Completely dependent on who brings their laptops. However, to get rid of mix ups in the future for converters. Please bring your own. It would be best if you labeled it too.

Venue fee: $8. You only need to pay this once the entire day if you are participating in any tournaments.

Entry fee: $5.

Other dates for the year of 2007:
12/22

I dunno what's going on this time. I should be coming with my laptop (I want it to break so I'm getting as much usage as possible on it) and 2 converters. If you can come, please post so we have an idea what the level of hype we need for this least coast tournament.

Melty Blood Auditorium / Problems updating MB:AC v. b2
« on: September 09, 2007, 07:44:11 PM »
Well, I'm trying to upgrade from version 1.00 to 1.03.

I first unzip it all to my desktop. Run the setup.exe, it's in the right directory, then I hit the OK button and some error in gibberish comes up (my compy doesn't like the text for some reason), and then it closes without updating.

Using Windows 2000 btw.

Since Renegade isn't doing dis shiz anymore  :'( We don't have official names anymore.

Location:
44710 Cape Court #118
Ashburn, VA 20147

All fighters arrive at 4:00 PM. Hopefully this wont end at 12:00 AM like the last 2 times.

Good news! Smash SHOULD be ending at 6:00 PM instead of 11:00 PM thanks to some people taking action for the atrocity of ending THAT late at the last tournament.

Stations: For all of the tournaments there have been 2 Stations. Nam's Laptop and mine. Feel free to bring more.

Venue fee:$8. You only need to pay this once the entire day if you are participating in any tournaments.

Entry fee for Melty Blood: $5.

Note: Stick players, both me and Nam each have ONE Pelican and a Radioshack converter. If you somehow don't have a pelican to use in tourney, tough luck, you should bring your own. So no complaining about controller lag :D

Okay, I'm NOT Renegade, but I don't think he would mind me posting this.

44710 Cape Court #118

Right now, they're deliberating on how they are doing tournaments.

Quote
a)Strictly casual event. Pay the venue fee, casual as long as you damn want, spontaneous tourneys are bound to happen.

b) Regular monthly. 5$ tourneys, 8$ venue fee.

c) "All you can eat" monthly, pay a flat 30$ per head, join as many tourneys as you want. We would run a ton more tourneys with this style though, even random stuff like XvSF, TTT, and A3. SSB and Crews are also possibilities. I would also have set prizes for winners based on TOTAL entries to event and entries to that tournament.

But what we did for Melty Blood last time was just connect 2 laptops on  one table and played there. We had a $5 entry fee for this.

Anyway, we need to discuss times and the such here. What time do you guys thing we should start this thing? Last time we kinda started late and ended at 12:00 AM
