Tournament Results / Atlanta Revival April 2012 Results
« on: April 30, 2012, 05:51:32 AM »
Althought it turned out being a five man round robin, it was fun pressing buttons in this game. Shaking off the rust by the end of the night felt pretty good as well too, now for the results.

MBAACC:

1: SolidPlay
2: ZomB
3: Karapalm (Ben Lester)
4: SS Malik
5: Jowin

Thanks for everyone that showed up & supported. If you can, ZomB's holding a tournament May 19 so look for that in the Tournaments & Events thread. ZomB also recorded most of the tournament matches so when he gets a chance, I'm sure he'll post them on this topic.

Kohaku's Video Room / Top 10 MBAC & MBAA Matches of All Time
« on: July 14, 2011, 09:32:06 AM »
I just read a post on Kotaku talking about the Top 10 moments in competitive gaming history & I couldn't help but think about Melty. This is mainly for people who have been playing since the beginning of Melty or AC (not including myself) but I'd like people to gather their thoughts because I've watched over 1,500 matches of AC & AA (CC, etc.) but I can't seem to compile of a list. Anyone's welcome to post links & stuff like that, I thought it would be cool if something like that was around to give future newcomers a slice of Melty Blood history.

Kusanagi (Mexico) Vs. Garu (Japan) EVO 2010 Winner's Semi-Finals

One of my favorites despite what some people may say about the "conditions" for both players prior to the event, I was jumping out of the computer chair when I saw this on stream last year.

Shoutouts to everyone I played casuals with, Pfhor, LK, Comic, Shinobi, GA guys (you know who you are), Skwuch, sorry I didn't get to talk to you about Sion stuff, was extra busy & trying to get sober the whole weekend, NEVER eating three brownies in one night again,  :P
Special shoutouts to Jaxx for allowing me & my boy Joel to stay Thursday when we were searching for the venue, damn you Atlanta for having FOUR Hiltons in a ten mile radius & letting me gather myself Friday night while I was too fucked up to even remember being conscious. Teams WILL happen next time even if it means I have to run it which I have no problem doing, just the seeding would be the biggest issue, and thanks for all Out of towners for showing up to GA to play, it really meant a ton to me because although I feel like I'm doing a ton of work, I still love this game & community & want to improve so much. Who knows, I may take a secret summer vacation to $NJ$ again this year................................. :mystery: But yeah, GS to everyone & Spooky for letting us be on the stream.

When we said we will stay consistent this year we meant it! And we’re back again for another chapter of Atlanta Revival. For those of you who missed last month you missed a really hyped event! We had over 64 participants the attend from all over just for Street Fighter IV alone. And Yes, the 3rd Strike madness will be back. This will also be the first tournament in GA to present to you a Marvel vs Capcom 3 tournament. This is indeed be the calm before the storm as it will be one of the last tournaments in Georgia where all of us can see where we stand and what we need to improve on for Final Round in March! And this time we will have a stream unlike last month. If you filled out the Impact Clash/Atlanta Revival text message list information at the last tournament make sure to opt into our text message program when you receive the invite.
