All.net+multi is the equivalent of Nesica, from what i understand the game supports payments through it, but i'm hoping that the game can just run without a network like SSF4 does, and like MBAACC does.

Typically, the only reason to really go online is just to get patches. And hopefully, we can just piggyback off of R1's All.net servers every now and then to get a patch, since they have an actual Japanese all.net server located in the US for Project Diva.

GGs at Super & Martee's place.
Dipswitch 3S was a lot more fun that I thought it'd be. It has a totally diffrent metagame of it's own lol.
The lag on the viewlix was okay. I can play F-akiha on it but I don't think I can play c-arc on it.  :(
We should convince Watson to take out SSF4AE out of the Versuscity cab and put Melty in there. Everybody plays it on the console setups anyways.  :P

Probably 0% chance of convincing him though. :nyoro:

Thanks Numa for sharing your B-day gift with all of us!

Whoops, didn't notice that part. I wouldn't mind Melty being on the Net city. I don't mind being smooshed in there as long as there's no lag.

The SSF4AE cabinets are on Atomiswave cabinets. They're really weird because the i/o board on it wasnt made to run anything other than 5-button Atomiswave stuff. But the monitor is VERY nice, better than the Net City. SSF4 however REQUIRES a head-to-head configuration, each cab only supports 1-player and it does matchmaking via ethernet. On a seperate note, SSF4 is out of commision because one of the atomiswave cabs has a problem dissapating heat, and it killed one of the ssf4 videocards.

The Net City is pretty much the BEST cabinet in terms of compatibility. It'll run any arcade board you throw at it, SD and HD. Problem is, its currently on is a 3-button 1-player panel. It'll require 2-player panel with 6-button each, from any SEGA Astro City, Blast City, or Net City.

mbaacc doesnt work on astro city cabs unless the crt monitor gets upgraded. the options are the Vewlix, or the Net city. Right now, its planned to go to the Vewlix because theres more elbow space, and the net city doesnt have 2P panels. Tetris will go to the net city.

I heard a rumor that mizuki moved to socal. Is there anything to that?

Anyone in socal wanna chip in for an arcade kit? I have a Vewlix with Taito-x2 in my living room.
If this game is releasing in the same price range as BB and Melty, i'd estimate it'd be $2500-3000 in total.

if you're really starting to learn, i wouldnt use any of the complex comboes on the videos, but i'd start with really basic comboes that do moderate and decent damage first. After a couple months you can build off of it, and start stepping up to harder things.

some of those evo players, i would guess, 2 years of learning melty?

being skilled in fps and fighting games arent the same...

if anyone in socal wants to pull money together to buy UNIB, i have a vewlix that can house it for free play and combo videos and etc

May i ask what the monthly revenue it was getting at your arcade? I'm inquiring for Arcade Infinity, you can PM me here, or onto the AI twitter account.

And yes its a shame regarding TGM4, I would have personally bought the Ringwide board for myself.

it's not a PCI I/O board, it goes into the motherboard directly without a controller. similar to how most bemani PC boards work. It's very propriatary, so most people dont know what the port is linked to, software-wise.

what arcade forums?

i know what i said, which is why i mentioned Compactflash. I has assumed that ringwide games would come on CF cards (w/ security dongles), and they'd be swappable, like Taito, atomiswave and neogeoMVS carts, but its not like that at all.

i'm still wondering about that I/O board issue inside the Taitox2 and this supposed 3 frames of lag...

#1. The IO board in a typex2 adds about 3~ frames of lag normally(it's just a shitty piece of hardware), arcade fighters are designed around this, so if you run it on a normal PC, there's always 3 frames of lag you can't remove built into the game, it's really rather jarring when you have them side-by-side to compare.

You have a Taitox2??? so do i, and there is no I/O board inside a Taitox2 unit. There are MANY different kinds i/o board made by different companies, all vary by efficiency and features.

That said, the encryption and security schemes on ringwide and ringedge are lightyears beyond what the TypeX and X2 used(hint: you can partially "break" the encryption just renaming a fucking file...it's that pathetic, and to fully remove it, all you do is edit a few lines to remove the reference to the USB dongle, to put it in laymans). Saying it had any security is intellectually dishonest at best.
do you even know how ringwide games come on? it's on a disc, not a compactflash. what's this talk about auto-format?

seems like that the Ringwide board requires an auxilary power supply. which is what the harness was referring to. therefore if you were putting this inside of an astrocity cab which doesnt have extra +3.3v), you need to spend the extra $1000 to make it work. otherwise if your arcade has a Netcity or vewlix, you dont need to buy the harness and save yourself the $1000.
