I updated the posts with whats mirrored on melty v compiler (shoutouts to that guy, whoever he is)

But yeah my acc got bodied so pt 2 of the combos which had otg relaunches and otg strings is gone, as is the one with the otg techpunish OS. Refer to the wiki I guess, if I can ever be bothered I might rerecord and reedit something together.

You are seriously unlucky, I only got hit with that copyright shit today.

I was happy to hear about this but news of potential rollbacks is just incredible. Thanks so much!

(now all we need is a patch to revert everyone back to CC vanilla status and remove the new chars hyuk hyuk)

I know sibladeko played, but does anyone else? There was an evo 2012 tourney but ps3 version pretty much seemed to fall off the map after that, but the recent cheap rerelease of the game + the new updates and DLC units have sort of revived the english speaking scene, despite being really far behind in terms of updates compared to the arcade.

If you're interested, add me on PSN ( ID: Irysa ) and I'll invite you to any shuffle rooms I host. Surprisingly, the netcode is pretty decent for EU to EC, (the game isnt AS delay sensitive as a fighter but anything higher than that tends to be awful)

Added team tournament results.

I'll be uploading videos for all the games at some point when I get home.

"VoriuM (C-Hisui, H/F-Ries, C-Warc, C-Ryougi)"

What. Was that like a different character each game?

Vor won his first game vs Panicattack with Chisui vs Faoko, panic swapped to c, vor lost, and tried both ries and lost.

After that in his games with Shion he lost with Ries then just said fuck it because he hates playing Seifuku and just picked random alts to lose with lol.

6c 236b 6c is an automatic hitconfirm and frametrap. you can just do air combo after it or w/e since 236b launches. 6c 2a or just 6c 6c 6c repeatedly is also legit.

And no, thats not quite how the fuzzy works. You want to do 214[a] then iad jb, rising jb, then release the 214a. Fnero somewhat struggles to "set up" the fuzzy compared to C though. You either need some very precise spacing midscreen (sort of luck dependant) or get them to fully respect after a 5[c] or 2[c] (possibly with 236a, or 236c like mentioned before or whatever followup) so you can 214[a] then iad jb into fuzzy.

One of the important plus sides to his fuzzy is also that if they successfully block it you keep momentum.

Other tidbits, in pressure, throw out 214[a] when not too far (a few 2as or early 2b cancel), then 3c immediatly and hold up forward. If they jump you get air combo off the 3c and if they block your 214[a] keeps you safe and you can throw out more summons.

Do not play f-nero if you want to like, establish offensive space control with summons and then move in, that is what C is for. Like I said, the character works better when you work to severely limit the vectors the opponent has to work with, and then intercept them or move in when they are trying to figure out what to do.
When you are just trying to get people to respect your basic blockstrings you have to look at what they are disrespecting with. If they mash backdash or jump a lot then 5[c] and 2[c] work well, if they are spamming high shield or low shield you swap your 5 or 2 [c] respectively, if they are spazzing dp start canceling off 2b etc. Once you get people to start respecting a boring blockstring of 2a staggers 2b 5[c] or w/e then you can start being more lame with rising jb falling jc kind of crap or iad jump hold back spaced jb to frustrate people.

And just be a fag with jb beacuse that move is overpowered.

F-Nero is not the moonstyle for offensive pressure, but he gets better defensive area denial

I honestly prefer to omit airthrow and land 421a then fish for airtech and anti air with 5b. Teching forward causes you to get caught in the 421a. This doesnt work vs chars who have the ability to move themselves a really long way after a forward airtech but you can still chase after them.

The other option they have is to not to tech at all which lets you drop whatever the fuck you want/get in range for a potential techpunish or get close enough to 6c pressure.

6c is + frames by itself, and doing 6c 236b 6c 236b strings when you are up close is both anti mash and looks very mashable.

If you airthrow, you can do 214c for ex gator and then guess on either 3c to catch people jumping out, or walk up and throw them for a shitload of damage.

If you're going to ex crows in the corner you should probably learn to do the fuzzyguard with 214[a] as well.

have fun getting scammed over this guys :toot:

I'm going to be as real as possible, though I can definitely commend your efforts.

Just move onto P4U

It's what I'm doing. I had fun with MB at least.

Id rather quit fighting games than play another ASW shitfest

Or just get a keystick/keyboard converted to outputting as a pad/stick via only the switches that match up to the regular butotns being relevant. Then the thing basically is the same as a pad for any intents and purposes of playing.

It's not really too hard to make either.

Slowpoke plays ryougi. Also fnero damage is generally low lol

For the shield counter combo he needs to do a tap shield instead of held shield counter or you cannot cancel into a special iirc

eu slowpoke is nero not the american one  :V

Let go of your outdated grudge, man.

Its not outdated if it's still going on.

Sarcastic or not there is still a disrespectful attitude that floats around today because of this mess. It's a minority, and even though I still get shit from time to time, I personally don't give a fuck. I got banned for some dumb stuff because I was a retard a long time ago. I'm over it, so are most people.
But if you think it really didn't ever have an impact on people not wanting to be more involved with each other then you're wrong, and there were plenty of innocent bystanders in there too.

If you think Sab is a git then okay w/e, thats how it is, but you gave everyone else a crock of it too.
The entire attitude about netplayers or netplay in general was the same shit too, the self loathing phase at the end days of MBAC are fucking depressing to think about.

Where we go? Nowhere. You can settle for less, and be happy with it because that's the way the cookie crumbles.

WALL OF TEXT FROM SOME RANDOM EU GUY THAT DOESNT FUCKING MATTER

I honestly don't give a shit anymore about this game getting bigger  :bricks:

Well thats not really true. Like many others, I'd love to see it grow. But from the perspective of how it rolls around here, I've already done all I can. When MBAA PS2 was out I ran that game every fucking week in the corner at local meetups with like one other friend (along with KoF 2k2 UM) for ages, and hyped it up/tried to get people interested/help em out. Didn't get a single guy interested at all.

It's not like I don't participate with the rest of those players either. I mean hell, when KoF XIII dropped I was there playing and helping people get used to the system because I'd been playing the arcade version for a while, as well as having played KoF for a few years prior. People were all over my dick because I won ranbats and wanted personal advice on shit. I don't think I'm unappealing to the point of not making people interested in the game.

And its not like I was gonna give up on that anyway. But you know what? They fucking DONT LET ME RUN MBAACC THERE BECAUSE ITS ON FUCKING PC. After that I've just washed my hands of the goddamn matter, they wouldn't even let me run a side tourney for it at Hypespotting (local tournament).

I run meetups out my house for anybody who wants to come and have a laugh. Whether its Melty or Bomberman or Micromachines or MVC2 or Ougon Cross (lol), Arcana, AOS2, whatever . But honestly, most people don't care, so I don't care about them anymore. If the game had a localised release they'd probably at least be willing to try.

I'm not a PC version hater, but jesus titty fucking christ would a localised console version do wonders for any scene anywhere. And I can't do anymore without that. Not having to hack somebody's memcard or give him shady dl links and awkward patching crap so he can fuck around with it goes leagues. (EDIT: Localised PC/Digital distribution or something would be fine too I guess)
So w/e, effectively, I'm done trying to convince people. (they're retarded anyway)

I don't honestly believe you can go any further than this without that. So whilst I still love this game, love the community, and love playing it with them, maybe people need to just accept that random PC games in Japanese with bad netplay won't ever blow up.

And you know what? I'm down with that. I'll keep playing, having fun, going to small tournaments and there is no need to be frustrated or mad about it if you put it past yourself. If you can't take that, you need a reality check at this point, or should move to Japan.

PS: Fuck P4U/Unib give me Aquapazza.  :emo:

There is a separate sleeping area reserved for the visitors of the event and it is located on another floor. The site says it'd be good to bring some mattresses or something but you don't need to worry about that. I'll take care of those kinda things. There’s also a hotel (Omenahotelli) 4 kilometres from the event area. The rooms are for 4 people and cost around 120€ for the whole weekend.

I'll keep this short for now and update later as there's more official stuff like instructions on how to get there from the airport, about restaurants and practical stuff like that. You can also e-mail the organizers directly: ptp.palaute (at) gmail.com if you want answers to some specific questions right away.

Feel free to ask me any questions too, here or on irc (welhis). And see you in Rautanyrkki! 8)

Ignore the Shiki and Wara at the top, but from the bottom left to bottom right is characters all ordered by their green hitbox height. Shiki and Nanaya have exactly the same height and were put on top of each other to save space.
