Hey Riotblade do you have room in you're car for the ranbat by any chance?

Probably.  I'm going to ask oscar if he's going.

I won't be going to the ranbat. Are you coming this Friday? I need to pay you back the $5 I owe you while I'm still here.

I probably won't be going Friday.  Is it cool if we use your place as the meeting point for sat?  Then I can collect the money and get everybody with ease?

Sorry, I have plans for Saturday.

Friday 4/30 is the last session I will be hosting. It ends strictly at 2 a.m. It was fun while it lasted but I am moving out soon, and I require the next two weeks to prepare for finals.

:blah:

Damn, I wasn't expecting this thorough of a write up when you told me that you would post something  :psyduck: :psyduck: :psyduck:

I really do want to pick up the character though and with this I have everything I need to for now (except the free time to grind stuff). Meanwhile you should try and find a main in GG if it isn't going to be Dizzy. We should all enter in GG next time, I know I plan to. I hope you didn't get in too much trouble for Saturday.

Playlist for the ranbat matches I recorded. GG's to everybody I played. I was a little disappointed with the venue to be honest, but it was still better than not having a ranbat. Also for the record CT_Warrior and Riotblade owe me $1 each for betting me based on their tremendously flawed powers of observation that Mizuki's stick has a blonde character thats not Louise on it.  :V :V :V

I was just joking about that, because for the most part people that play GGAC at my place are beginners. I don't really know what the rep is for norcal, but it is pretty much irrelevant since most other GGAC scenes are dead/stagnant.

Great stuff, thanks for sharing. Yeah H-ries is really strong, I just haven't tapped that potential. If I find some time I will try and learn this, it would be nice to make people block for once.

This weeks playlist. New features include: audio, really bad guilty gear matches. @Riotblade are you sure you left your converter at my place? I looked around for it and have not seen it.

The Guilty Gear matches can't be that ba-http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5lcJt_LgYp0 watches link-......why did it take the Sol player until the 3rd round to do anything?  :psyduck: :slowpoke: No offense to the Sol player, at least they won.

I don't think it was for lack of trying but his gameplan/mixup revolves entirely around volcanic viper, command throw, and horrible moves like riot stamp and bandit bringer, meaning he was bound to lose some rounds hard (also note complete absence of gunflame). I don't think I will post GG again unless I make it to real GGAC gathering, I would hate to tarnish Norcal's GG reputation further.

I can record in good quality with my setup but can't really stream. However since I am using a splitter anyways, somebody else could connect to it and stream on their setup while I record the video directly.

Playlist for this weeks recorded matches. Now Featuring: No Sound, also the complete loss of an hours worth of material because my editor kept crashing and I couldn't be bothered.  :psyduck:   See you guys next week :-\

Good find, I didn't realize she had that kind of turtle potential. I will definitely be playing more F-Kohaku since I find F-Ries to be very linear and frustrating. On an unrelated note, since I forgot here is the link to last week's videos.

50¢ since its really not a major revision from the console port. 75¢ would be fine for 3/5 rounds.

First off, big thanks to Len/May/Tao FTW for organizing and promoting these ranbats. I was disappointed to only be able to record about 1/3 of the ranbat matches played, I might bring my lame camera+tripod next time to get 2 setups at once. I have divided all of the recordings into 2 playlists, Tourny Matches and Casuals. GG's to everybody I played. Hopefully next time Norcal won't get trolled so hard.

Time: 1:00 p.m. - 1:00 a.m.
Date: March 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th
Location: SFSU (PM me for Address and #)

Those dates are all Fridays. For various reasons I won't be hosting on weekends. If you have a stick bring it.

Nothing fancy. Just an amplified splitter 1 in 4 out which takes composite or S-video and a usb capture card that will take composite, component, or S-video. I will also have the necessary male to male cables for S-video and composite. Still waiting for the stuff to arrive though so no guarantees, but it should work fine in theory. If somebody has a TV with component out and the necessary component male to male cables I could record that way too but if we are using Tsubasa's setup I will need to use the splitter (Ideally I would have liked to get a component splitter but they were waaay too expensive) I think s-video quality should be fine, especially for youtube.

The problem with livestreaming at the ranbat is that we will have to share bandwidth with the GGAC tourny. At the moment just recording is fine but we will try to stream top 4 again. I'm not even sure if we will be allowed internet access at the new venue.
I did not consider the new venue  :psyduck:

It doesn't make bit a of difference though the setup should work great for either live streaming or direct recording.

Does bringing your own stick include bringing my FailStick?
You can use it for Battle Fantasia!

I am still waiting for all the parts to come in but I am going to test livestreaming next week, and if it works out I will bring that setup to the ranbat.

This game is excellent, easily my favorite arcsys game after Guilty Gear. I really feel that it nailed 2.5D in a way that SFIV didn't. Some design decisions don't make much sense, also some of the voice acting is quite grating but whatever its fun. Mostly messed around with face, but Deathbringer's gachi drive heatup combo is cool enough to make me want to play him.

People really need to get their own sticks. I really don't like loaning mine out.
THIS  :psyduck: :psyduck: :psyduck:

Seriously we should charge a usage fee.

I have 1 permanent TV and 1 PS2 and my own stick. Currently I have Jeffm's TV for a second setup but it needs a PS2. If you have a stick BRING IT.

I am interested in hosting a Saturday session this week (in addition to the regular Friday one). There are at least 2 people who can't make a Sunday session at SJSU, and I personally loathe the idea of going to SJSU this weekend, so I am just probing for interest in Saturday at SFSU. Post up if you want to come and think you can make it.

I have crash space (pull out bed under my couch) for 1 person. But yeah its obscenely expensive to go anywhere on public transport, not to mention it takes forever and shuts down too early  :psyduck:

Sunday would be ok for me. I have a question for you SJ guys though, would you be willing to come up to SFSU for a weekend session? I have plenty of space at my house and I can record directly from my setup. Also its far more convenient for many people that live farther north or don't have cars.
