Honestly, learning with F moon kind of gimps your understanding of some things like how pressure works, meter management, and even reversal options.  In Miyako's case particularly, F is so simple that it ends up reducing the need to adapt to things as much...well at least that's how it was in MBAA.  In Current Code, apparently certain nerfs make her a lot more difficult(jump normals).  *shrugs*  All things considered, starting with C has a bit more hurdles but is probably the best moon for comprehensive learning.

I want to hang out with people for a day or two when everyone's just gonna be chilling at the hotel rooms and not feverishly mashing tournament related stuff, so I'm guessing either Sunday during finals or Thursday before the event would be the best times.

Let me know what rooms you're in or give me some contact info so I can set up some sort of impromptu gathering where I can see you guys and maybe play some sanguosha or whatever.  My phone is 702 501 9742, text or call me rather than posting up here for best results.

I want to play some San Guo Sha again.
lol.  Going to lightning the entire group of people at once this time?

And yeah, I will definitely get some of that going.  We play that shit regularly out here as it is.

We also have Dominion and a handful of board games at this point, so I can get some side stuff going with those if there's any interest.  (but imo San Guo Sha is still more fun)

I would love to host people again this year (as always).

Unfortunately, I am now working twice the hours of a full time job for half of the pay of min wage, so unless people want to literally pay for my spectator pass and my food for the entire event, it's basically not an option.  I wish I was joking.
Hah! I didn't even know you were still alive.

I may or may not exercise that option this year; I actually have at least a couple of other people coming with me and I currently have a room booked at the venue. I'm still at least one person short though (so if anyone wants to stay on site with a bunch of MB players, get am ne).

As for the other stuff... I might actually be able to hook you up with a spectator pass. As for food... make a large breakfast? :P I'll have a bunch of random stuff (especially if I'm staying on site), but I don't know if that would be enough.

Speaking of food: who is up to run it back the Bellagio buffet with me? :V
Yeah, I wasn't quite sure I was still alive either.  :V  If you do somehow get me a pass, then I'll figure out a way to make it happen, including housing people as per my usual.

I won't put in on playing in any side tourneys, but I will probably run some doujin casual crap like Rekkaden and Daiundousai.  I'm cool with helping run melty too, if you need another head.

Hmm I know this thread is probably dead but I will try and recieve my help from the only miyako thread I see.
For F-miyako I tend to have this on going issue with my 421b(p1 side) wiffing in the corner due to the oppponent being too high to hit. Should I delay it more  or is there a certain height I have to be aware of before actually using 421b
Yeah, just delay the j.421b for about a second or so after actually hitting with 236b and they should fall down enough to catch with the tip of the elbow.  There shouldn't be any character specific issues with hitting that, either.

Yeah, it's pretty fucking limiting.  I had more fun playing high chaos just using everything at my disposal to wreck bitches, but I would still do pacifist first if given another chance.  GOTTA DO IT FOR THE LOLI, MAN!  She deserves the best possible end.

From what I saw in demo or heard about, it doesn't look like there is any customization.  But there are something like 14 characters, so do you really need customization?  Just enjoy the characters for how wild they already are, imo.

And yeah, I'm super hype for this game.  Can't fucking wait.

lol

Emiya shirt too godlike.

Where's that damn -Heat button again...

Well, as of now I haven't heard of any modding, but I'm not sure if it will be made possible in the future or not.

Just finished my KILL EVERYTHING playthrough. Was faster and more entertaining than the pacifist approach. Good game, nothing to complain about if you don't mind predictable plots.

Dark Messiah is still better though :V
Nothing has so far been more satisfying to me than rewiring a wall of light and laying a body down just outside of it.  WE'VE GOT SOMEONE DOW-zzzp > repeat forever

Also it's nice to actually be able to just get rid of tallboys instead of having to hide from them forever.

You play to save the little girl!

That's even better than being the little girl!!

Yeah, basically.  I played skyrim stealth and laughed at how retarded good it was.  I play this stealth and it gets pretty high anxiety.  On the harder difficulties, if you get discovered, you're toast.  Replay value would be pretty high if it didn't make the game crazy easier knowing what to expect around each corner.  Playing for high chaos on hardest difficulty right now.  I die in 1-2 hits from anything, but with lethal options at my disposal and the knowledge of enemy placement from first play...it's not very challenging.

As a side note, I really like that they allow you to toggle basically all of the UI elements on/off in the options.  Playing through the first playthrough just without objective markers makes exploration and paying attention to notes ridiculously important.  It's a lot of fun.

Want a fun stealth game?  Take on hard mode for your maiden play-through.  My expectations were high and I was not disappointed.

I really like her new design, looks like an improvement to her MB design(to me anyway). .
The FUCK
Lol.  Well tbh, her outfit is different.  New shirt, jacket, shoes, skirt and stockings are color swapped, neckerchief is under the shirt, glove on one hand, etc.  A lot of small differences.  I didn't notice any of them besides the skirt/stocking swap until I actually compared her picture from the mbaa profile to the unib one.

The only thing I'm excited for is the announcement that fb is going to be making major system changes to the game.

Hopefully they tighten this garbage up.

Aren't the infinite worth/verse things' cut-ins animated like that? I remember seeing some of those animations before.
I don't remember at all.  You're probably right. (I certainly hope you are)

Oh man, I wish the actual ex/super cut-ins were animated like that.  It'd be so hype.

So wait, what caused the shield to break?
Incorrect shielding (high/low) results in a break.  There's a ton of hitstun too, so it's pretty free for the opponent to capitalize on.  It happens in a couple videos.

I doubt they actually have international plans yet, but at least they know people are interested and they don't have type-moon standing over them, limiting anything that they may want to do.  Best thing we can hope for is just that the game succeeds in making them boatloads of money so they have the capital to give it a shot.

Yeah, the fireballs are either slower or they changed the tracking, because they were getting avoided pretty easily.  Also take into account that they aren't persistent (Yuzu was just cutting him through the fireballs and they'd disappear), so it kind of encourages disrespect.  Dude has an absurd amount of mobility though, and that dashing cut has crazy hitstun.

Anyway, it seems like the meter hop thing is going to be really important, because people are pulling ambiguous crossups with it all day in those new videos.
