Nice find! Great to know that H-VAkiha has the capability to go into fullscreen loops from neutral airgrab  :toot:

When I attempt to do that combo, however, the (Nanaya)dummy keeps air-teching right before my 6C hits, can anybody help me on that?

i'm quite skeptical at vakiha being S-tier, there weren't any notable buffs aside from increased AD untechable time, jC knockdown for crescent and faster j236B startup for half.

...Let me get this straight. You forgot the name a fighting game... that was based on Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers... and so likely would have "Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers" somewhere in its title...?

And I thought MY memory was shit.

As i said, i totally forgot the title, and i only knew that it was based on "Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers". Its only after seeing the first stage against minotaur confirmed that it was the game i played waaay back like.... i'm not even sure, probably sometime when i first started school.

Half/Crescent, player: Lucifer (Korean I believe, very interesting/strange playstyle)
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm11727251
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm11727425
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm11727629 (note savage mixup @ 1:30 and 6:10)

i found alternate ups of these vids (the ones in Funky's post above mine are actually of mbaa ver.A), you can google "mbaacc 루시퍼" or:
http://www.mgoon.com/view.htm?id=4051164
http://www.mgoon.com/view.htm?id=4051138
http://www.mgoon.com/view.htm?id=4051141

unfortunately part 1 isn't there, but there's part 2-4; part 4 doesn't feature Lucifer, but since its there might as well include it anyway
Lucifer's good, about the only criticism i have is that he needs to stop doing 5a6aa loops, dosen't he know that the increased proration on it actually reduces his total combo damage?  :mystery:

Komi - Tokiomi didn't split up his kids so that they could fight each other or something cruel like that.  Sakura and Rin were both born with a very unique and special elemental affinity - Rin had an affinity for all elements and Sakura had an affinity for the negative element.  Raising them together would mean that he wouldn't be able to grant a worthwhile dedication to fulfill each of their grand destinies, since he could only grant the family crest to one of his successors.  To prevent hindering their potential, he gave Sakura to a rival family so that she could rise to the full potential of that family, yet still allow Rin to rise to her full potential within the Tohsaka family.

It's kind of a fucked up thing to do, but he did the best thing he could think of to secure a grand future for both children.  Too bad the rival family Sakura was given to happened to be the Matou family.  lol

Also, have you been reading Fate/Zero Komi?  Kotomine is a very different man from that perspective.  He is much more the nihilist.

Edit:
Btw, I didn't pick Altrouge based on power.  I picked her based on the entire premise of her character design.  She is one of the most interesting and important back-story characters in many aspects.

Lolisauce, Tokiomi didn't do it for the purpose of them fighting each other, he did say though that if they did wind up becoming each other's opponents he could think of nothing greater.  That's what I admire.  Which is why I said, he acted as a proper magus.  I'm not disagreeing with you, I just perhaps see him in a slightly different light.  I prefer to take Kotomine's character of an overall design - sure in his youth he's a lot more nihilistic but ultimately I like the person he turned into (as the main antagonist of f/sn).  Also, I don't think you would like Altrouge, from what I know of her she's quite a bitch to be honest.  She's important plot device character (much like Gilgamesh), but I don't see that character being anyone I would want to engage in any sort of relationship with (rivalry/friendship/romantic/enemies/business partners).  She's just sorta there.

If Archibald and Tokiomi are both considered to be an incredible Magi, then its no wonder Kiritsugu has such and easy time killing dudes like them.

Please tell me he redeems himself in book 4. Aside from Archibald and Alba, I don't think I've ever seen another T-M character that I have such a huge distaste for. Maybe its just that Magus mentality they all share, I dunno. /shrug

Kiritsugu does not kill Tokiomi.  And I'll have you know of course I knew what happened to Sakura; which only makes Tokiomi more awesome in my opinion.

Perhaps you are just too blinded by love for such a weak, helpless, soul-less bitch like Sakura to understand what a truly magnificent bastard Tokiomi was.  And there's nothing wrong with using a bit of social manipulation to achieve your ends in the grail war.  Infact, it's probably the most effective.

I'll have you know I have a Masters in Nasuology.  :teach:

hahaha, the first thing all trolls claim to have.
btw, its so cliché trying to start a flame war with Sakura bashing, 4chan has done that millions of times over.

eh? but i wanna see shinji get Nine Lives'ed by shiro, dissected 17 times by shiki, eaten by Nero's Soil of Genesis, bloated into a gigantic fleshy blob by Angra Mainyu, needled by kohaku, force-fed hisui bentos, turned into a limbless doll by roa......

i think i'm going off topic already, a TM fighter would be the perfect excuse to beat up shinji, hopefully zouken as well (of course they have to be worm tier)

C-Nero still has EX deer for pressure, H-Nero got bee, and F-Nero got sludge-thing, all of them are still annoying as hell  >:(

i think in mbaa:cc nero's airthrow got increased recovery so that he can't do EX crow after corner airthrow anymore  8-)

anybody noticed that now blocking ANY attack chips away your red hp?   :slowpoke:
previously only special/EX moves did chip dmg, and it was to the yellow hp, guess this means characters with redonkulous blockstrings have major advantage now
You could always chip red life (at least in MBAA).  That is one of Bell's biggest asshole strategies.  He'll chip all your red life away so your heat is useless.

oookay, i just tried it in mbaap ps2 and found that normals have been chipping red hp since...mbaa release. guess its not a change to mbaa:cc then
can't believe it took me a year and then some to notice that  :emo:

Melty Blood Auditorium / Re: The MB:AA:CC thread: Current Code
« on: September 16, 2010, 01:27:52 AM »
well, financial reasons such as loss of profit on the arcade sales. there will definitely be a drop in arcade sales if current code was ported to pc or console with netplay, unless they release an even newer version in the arcade after the pc/console port (netplayer mindset -> why pay to play in the arcade when i can play all i want for free at home), which won't be likely with all the talk about current code being the last installment of mb.

also, the initial profit off a pc port will definitely be offset by the inevitable loss of profit in arcade sales since people will start pirating the pc port soon enough (like duh), causing sales of the pc port to die. its not minimal financial risk imho, its more like maximum financial risk since pc/console with netplay port = probable death of arcade release. if pc/console sales don't go well then gg to them. little wonder why arcsys is already announcing bbcs2, on arcade lol

Have you gone through F/HA before? It's unlike other VN where you get "Story -> (3) choices -> Bad End / Bad End / Continue". In F/HA, you can go to different locations around town at different times of the day and talk to different people. Depending on who you talked to before will open up other scenes at other locations depending on what time of day it is.

i.e.
Talk to [Tohsaka(A) (B) (C) (D)] at [Home] on [Friday] in the [morning].

Then you go to [school] (Park) (Downtown) (Home) (Shrine) (Bridge)

Talk to (Issei) (Tohsaka) (Sakura) (Ayaka) (Rider) (Saber) (Taiga) at [school] in the [morning] at [before class starts]

If you talked to [Tohsaka (A)] then [Sakura (B)] [Taiga (A)] [Tohsaka (C)] is available at [school] in the [before afternoon class starts]

If you talked to [Tohsaka (A)] then [Taiga (A)] then (Taiga) (Lancer) (Gil-kun) (Saber) (Rider) (Caster) (Ayaka) will be available to talk to in the [afternoon]

...etc etc...

That's kind of how the flow chart was that I was attempting to make. It was hell. I gave up.

The people that translated bits and pieces got contacted by someone trying to combine the translations into one big collaboration.

i.e.
Amakunau contributes translations for scene [Saber (A)] at [Home] in the [morning] of [Friday]
Shin contributes translations for scene [Tohsaka in a box (A)] at [Tohsaka's home] in the [afternoon] of [Saturday]
Blue Gunner contributes translations for scene [Date with Saber] at [Home] in the [morning] of [Friday]
etc. etc.

Sorry, I shouldn't have said 'died'. It has slowed down considerably since it first started. http://tlwiki.tsukuru.info/index.php?title=Fate/Hollow_Ataraxia for more info.

ehh, this just made me more hype for the F/HA translation to complete  :emo:

when mirrormoon said that F/HA wasn't worth their time, i thought that they meant F/HA was a sub-par work from Type-Moon. guess they actually meant that it would be a real pain to translate all of it, going by how complicated it sounds. I really liked the exploring that Kagetsu Tohya offered, even though i eventually had to use a guide for 100% completion lol. hopefully the F/HA translation will see the light of day... someday

sorry for straying off topic though  :-X

things i want to know:

-j.B nerf is only for FM-vakiha right? i'd be really sad if CM & HM j.B were nerfed D:
also glad to know that 5a6aa dmg nerf is across the board and not just vakiha

-there was talk before about 623b and 6C getting proration (i.e. combo dmg nerf) as well. is that true? and also HM ground 236 series didn't get buffed? o.O

edit after watching above vids:
-it seems that the increased proration from 5a6aa is really significant, HM-vakiha's fullscreen momiji loop starting from 2a can't even break 4k now :(

-vakiha's distance from opponent after airthrow has been increased (and possibly slightly decreased recovery as well). its possible to do BE214B after airthrow now without getting punished by dps (see http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm11727425 0:41).

-also http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm11727425 -> seems like lack of anti-a armor is bad, at 7:11 FM-shiki apparently managed to get a double counterhit with 5a against HM-vakiha's j.c

-HM-vakiha's j.236b seems to keep her aerial momentum ala CM-vakiha's j.236a. basically they just replaced the flame-tongue with a flame-orb :D

can HM bunkers be teched? I thought they had untechable knockdown  ???

also, auto heat at 200% can be irksome when you are comboing your opponent and already have max yellow life, it usually means that you more or less wasted your burst escape for that round.

the lowest tier being B+ makes it seem abit exaggerated imho, might as well have tiers of A->B->C instead of A+->A->B+ coz it still means the same thing in this case.

toki tier is still below shin gouki tier in cvs2 lol

Instead of initiating a trainer battle, you can choose to shoot him and steal his Pokemon instead.

Grand Theft Auto: Pokemon Edition?  :psyduck:

when even goldfish pokemon wandering around your neighbourhood have the capability to evolve into dragons and shoot freaking lazers, you have to wonder what use are guns in this kind of world.
