Make sure you back up your original 0001.p somewhere safe, I recommend putting it in it's own folder so its easier to keep track of(aka not accidentally writing over it and being screwed)

Current list of changed music:
  • Char select
  • Egypt
  • Red Egypt
  • Kouma/Burning Forest
  • Kouma/Burnt Forest
  • Aoko/Blue Moon Grassfield
  • Roa/Cave
  • VSion/Walpurgis Night
  • Nanaya/Starlight Crossing
  • Mech-Hisui/Kohaku Garage
  • Miyako/Tohno Garden
  • Big Brass Marbles Stage/Phantom of the Opera
  • Ries?/stranger/Airport Stage
  • NEW! Kohaku/Magical Kohaku Prison
  • NEW! Ahika/Classic Home Invade
  • NEW! Nero/Back Alley
  • NEW! OG Satsuki/School Rush!
  • NEW! Warcueid/Iron Maiden
  • NEW! City Corner/Night City Street Stage
  • NEW! Night City/Desert Town
  • NEW! Morning Park/Sleeping Town
  • NEW! New Church/Temple the Seventh Heaven

Most of the new songs aren't EQed to properly mesh with the ingame sound since I haven't really bothered putting any new work into my mix, melty is dead ETC

Aaaaaa yall arent listening!

You know how at NEC theres like 4 setups for Arcana even though there are only 40 entrants, while umvc3 has 8 setups with 180 entrants? Or ssf4 has 10 setups for 210 while BB has 5 setups for 60 entrants(this is probably necessary though with how Alan only has 1 day to do his job lol)? I'm saying that all the other games will probably get downsized to help make space for a game that'll probably pull in big numbers. I mean Melty is dead yeah, but in no way am I saying the game is a thumbtack in Eric's behind. Please don't start jumping to conclusions on things I'm not really saying, since I'll probably end up getting chewed out really badly from him if he hears people saying I'm conveying a message he never agreed with :(

EDIT: Again, I'm not saying any game at an Eric tournament is a hinderance(that is solely up to him to decide), I'm saying number of setups will reflect number of entrants. A bigger game gets more screens to move the tourney faster, a smaller game gets less since it can handle it!

3
its not melty itself getting singled out, i gotta stress that point. ah3 is gonna get the same treatment if it even gets numbers!

4

Put us out of our fucking misery already, shit.

Now we're an actual hindrance.

i didn't mean it like that! since there's a chance p4u could get that big we might have to cut down on the amount of setups the lesser games will have. you aren't gonna see the random poverty setups and doa taking up a million spaces either, we'll have to probably give everyone a max of 2 setups so we have as much space as possible incase 100 niggas sign up. Eric will never completely remove a game, worst case we'd just cut down on stuff that can afford to run on 1 or 2 stations. too many games came out this year :(

just to let you guys know, there's a possibility your space for setups might get compromised with how big p4a could possibly get that weekend. in any case my pc will be there at the least, along with my speakers

edit: ill also let people know if ill be hosting the day before for anyone getting in early, i should know by the end of this week

Already going to this to help out with brackets for random games, so if you guys figure out what MBCC needs I'll bring my monitors/speakers for it. Least I could do w/e

8
And yes, Eric confirmed he personally wants MBCC there and will be taking my entire PC setup to the venue. Come down and get bodied in both games and drinking!

9
I should be able to house anyone else that wants to stay the night, just make sure to text or PM me so I know whos coming. Unfortunately I'll be working closing shifts both Saturday and Sunday, so I won't be able to let people in the house until about 11:30pm Sat. As for Sunday, I don't need to leave the house until about 2pm so you guys are free to chill until then.

Wish I could go but I've already taken too many days off!

I'd have to check and make sure this isn't going to conflict with my schedule as the month goes, but I should be good to house people if I'm not working

The current goal is to change the most annoying songs in the game ASAP, then go along with anything else afterwards as I find good stuff to use. Since we've got LBS's godlike music tool this time around, I've got a lot more room to put good work into these mixes. Theres a lot of extra production being put into some of these stages, so I'm hoping everyone else appreciates my choices as much as myself

Best stages in my mix ATM IMO are Cave, Burnt Kouma, and Egypt

Things to change in next release:
  • Correct loop on Nanaya stage
  • Correct volume on Mech-Hisui stage

Reposting from http://shoryuken.com/forum/threads/gvn-summer-jam-5-in-philly-sj5-8-27-28-in-philly.133234/page-3#post-5516653

Everyone better come down and get a taste of the Philly Teas, Eric got beasts along with himself that knows how to make the drinks!

So this is how its gonna work for SJ5, just so we're all on the same page before this thing really goes down:

I will make sure Melty Blood and Arcana Heart 3 gets taken care of, in terms of running brackets and bonus monies. Bonus money? What does that mean? Pretty much for each game I'll be adding $30 to the pot for every 10 people that sign up. AH3 gets 34 entrants? $90 bonus pot. Melty Blood gets 57? $150 for your wallet. The bonus pot will be divided between 1st and 2nd 90/10, which means you better be in grand finals or you aren't seeing any of this money

Both tournaments will be run on Sunday with sign-ups going on all weekend ending Sunday at 1pm sharp, actual tournament being 2pm. I'll be taking preregs here in this thread or in the forums of those respective games( www.homingcancel.com / www.meltybread.com ). I'll also be capturing HD quality videos for both games with commentary, so if you absolutely can't make it out we'll have some videos for you back at home

P.S. Both of these games are main games of SJ5 so if you want these to get even more love at future Big E Gaming events, you should probably bring yourself and your friends to this and show the numbers  ;)

Alright, some of you are already familiar with the Big Eric tournament series so you know whats up. For those who don't, his tournaments are pretty much the most love you'll get from a T.O. when it comes to the more obscure games. Every game being ran matters to him and the staff, and it says a lot for him to make MBAA one of the main games on the lineup for SJ5

Lets get some great numbers for this one, high chance of teams if enough people show!
