I've randomly had caster unable to find MBAA.exe, and then suddenly had it work again after I put my MBAACC folder in the root directory instead of my downloads folder.

I still have no idea why that worked.  :mystery:

There is a strange bug when I try to auto-update the game or manually with it.

It always try, and the message window of the process say that it cant or dont have permission (its too fast to read) to exchange the old ccaster 3.0 with a new one.

Using Windows 7 Home 64bits here.

Stupid question, since you probably already tried, but did you run it as admin?

No idea other than that it's -f.

It's obviously good just because it moves you forward so far, though. You can just chain into something else after.

The frame data is mostly the same as CVaki, so I'll just repost this:

2A                      -1
5B                      -1
BE5B                  +3
5B 5A (whiff)       +-0
2/5/4C 5A (whiff) +3
214A                  +-0 (provided last pillar hits)

Removed 5a and flameribbons. Pits are really +f, 236x is really +f.

Almost all the ones under IAD meaty okizeme from the MBAC VAki thread still apply.

http://www.meltybread.com/forums/mbac-specific-75/v-akiha-okizeme-thread/

The only ones that don't are the ones that need cvaki j.C, which is honestly not a lot of them. It's mainly just the fuzzy.

This doesn't really bother me, but I figured I'd mention it:

At some point along the revisions, I stopped being able to alt+tab out of the game window while fullscreened. Unsure why it suddenly stopped working.

2.1d has temporarily been taken down because it causes massive input drops for some players. 2.1c is the latest usable release.

I really recommend just grabbing an old CRT computer monitor off someone and using it. I made a point of hauling one to and from friend's houses, just because I hate input delay that much. >_>

j.bc sj j.bc EX orb works most of the time.

j.bc 8j.c EX orb works a good chunk of the time too.

I think j.abc sj.bc EX orb is also a thing.

Honestly, I never do one or the other all the time when I play F-Aoko -- I just sort of BS based on what I feel like is going to land. It varies a little based on hurtboxes. The only real way to get a feel for it is just to do it a lot, or watch a lot of F-Aoko matchvids and hope you soak the knowledge which almost never works, but a man can hope.

You cry.

Your best bet is probably 412368 or 412367, though.

Then what is your meterless ender?

If you don't have the meter to 236C, you're probably doing it wrong.

If you're that pressed, I'd personally just airthrow. I can't get 236B/A to reliably end aircombos outside the corner, and in the corner, there are better combo paths with better oki than aircombo.

End with 236C instead or change aircombo as necessary for hitboxes.

236C knockdown is ridiculously good and other 236s are finicky, so I pretty much never end in 236B.

The problem with the infinite is not learning it (its not complex in its structure) but actually managing to execute it and more importantly, being able to hitconfirm into it. While the opportunities to do so do exist, doing it on reaction is very very difficult. Tobari is the only player I've seen consistenly doing it.

This. You can turn around a whole match if you land infinite on a random pit, but, well, you have to confirm infinite off a random pit. It's more practical to just know generic damage combos and setups unless you have S-tier hitconfirming skills.

Wasn't very clear, I admit.

2A                      -1
5A                     +2
5B                      -1
BE5B                  +3
5B 5A (whiff)       +-0
2/5/4C 5A (whiff) +3
tk.236A              +17  :fap:
tk.236B              +8
214A                  +-0 (provided last pillar hits)

Is 214A for charged or normal pillar? If that's for normal, that's way better than I thought, damn.

BE5b is plus, 236C is plus (but easily shielded and frame adv is distance dependent, though you get a free throw if c-moon shields), tk flameribbons are nuts plus, pillars are plus when spaced right.

There's just not a lot of reason to learn finicky infinites when you can do easy things like Funky-kun's WUB WUB DAMAGE TECH oki setups. They die in two hits either way.

Your neutral is also good enough that you don't need to try your damnedest to ride one hit to victory (though you should obviously do so whenever you can anyways).

I feel like you're normally too pushed out for 2A, but I could be totally wrong.

This is literally based on my memory of MBAC, so

Ciel's Tech Support / Re: Keyboard on PS2, Mad Scientist style?

Sanwas and the like don't have a tactile response that corresponds to when they actually engage, though. I know my button triggers long before it's completely depressed, which I consider a good thing, since it means the button triggers faster relative to when I make the motion.

I also imagine that the tactile response means that you'd feel force (pushback) trying to press the key down, as opposed to a stick button, which just goes down smoothly as you apply force. I know the tactile keyboard I'm using right now has a threshold I have to cross, then the button engages and goes down. Basically, the tactile buttons will have two states, depressed and not depressed, whereas the linear buttons will just press down with no resistance and trigger. I imagine the linear button press would feel like it responds more quickly, since there's no need to cross a certain threshold of force to get the key to depress.

...I hope that made sense.

EDIT: Also, I think what you feel as the response of your stick buttons is actually the "bottom out" force point, when they won't engage anymore, which doesn't correspond to when your button press actually registers.

Hey. you'll use it!

Once.

Ever. >_>

It's really hilarious gimmick, but it'll only work once every thousand games or so. Save it for the final round of EVO 2015.  :V

Len hitboxes make a lot of combos wonky, though. Could only fail on Lens or Nekos.

Not saying that combos equal fun, but is there any other reason to play this character other than wanting to win very badly?

The character feels pretty good without being clunky, imo. It's one of those things where you can press buttons, do specials, and feel like everything's got some power behind it. CS1 Litchi was like this to me, too.

And you could play this chara because you like Akiha, or maybe you like seifuku, or MAYBE EVEN AKIHA IN SEIFUKU. People don't always have gameplay reasons for playing X chara.
