Updated again, I think I fixed the crashing.  I had to look up how to properly position array pointers.

Version 2.3.1 built off of Mauve's source using Visual Studio which is why support for Touhou is gone since I am hopeless at C++
I added the option to load the 0002.p file from the Steam version of the game.

Please let me know how badly I screwed this up.

GAME ISSUES
Game starts up, had to manually click ok on the launcher.
Game was running at an abnormally slow framerate, was very responsive though.

SETUP ISSUES
When setting controls for my PS360+ I am unable to skip buttons I don't want/need.  If the capability is there, please include it in your readme.
When I press keys when the program is asking for joystick input, the keystrokes are buffered until setup is done.  This usually results in the clear all action being taken immediately after I'm done with config.

The funding might have dissipated BUT THE SCIENCE LIVES ON

To think that after this many years my execution is still only barely good enough to start exploring options like these...

No idea why this took so long to figure out, I blame society.
So apparently, swapping out the VS screen music does work, but you need to use simple vs screen in order to hear it (the second checkbox in the startup config)

The reason is pretty clear, usually the game loads a video file as the background, dat_m_vs.d
After a small suggestion from Sashi I tried renaming this file to .mpeg and surprisingly, the video loaded!  Turns out you can take pretty much any video file you have a proper codec for and rename it to replace this file.  I may be able to dynamically remux this video with the music of your choice and have that function in my music tool.

Proof of concept  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BDpyDUPPoxk
Note that the replacement video was not of the same kind but still worked

I am also considering adding a function to dynamically modify the stage labels in game with track names when you use my application to deploy music packs, but I need a good font for this and I'm hoping someone with experience in design/typography can help me.

some way to access training mode after connecting would be cool (live tutorial puposes)

And testing.  And debugging.  And control config.  Seriously Madscientist you'll thank yourself for doing it.

8
Need a self test option to run training mode and check inputs.
Config needs at least some comments so we can edit manually while you fix it to not be shitty.
PLEASE ADD CONNECT FROM CLIPBOARD THAT SHIT IS GODLIKE
Roverruckus can host with default netplay, but no one can connect to him via caster.  We get  Error: Socket::initSocket: error in socket connection/bind

- Sincerely, guy who has not been able to play with anyone yet.

While I appreciate the massive dump, 100% of these links are broken.

Thanks for reminding me in the first match that midscreen wallslam combo was possible off 214A 236C
IIRC it does a bit more damage than 236A A 214C
Bleh I need to get into this game again and actually find out.

The way proration works during a ground string, the value will be equal to the proration value of the move that had the lowest so far.  It's not necessarily 22C not prorating too much that makes it good, it's putting it at the beginning of the combo.  During an OTG, especially a long combo rather than a simple 236 > 6C knockdown, the damage is already shit no matter what you do.

Forgot to mention something bell pointed out a couple of days ago, you can also OTG relaunch with 5C 623C in a pinch.  In the corner, you can do  2A 2A 2A 5B 5C 623C for a little added damage.

I'm finding a lot of opportunities to land 22B now that I actually have a reason to do so.  Blocked DPs in general are good targets for STOMP COMBO.
It doesn't look like you can do it off anything other than 22B though  :(

I bet there's enough time to do meaty 236A 6[A]
It's inherently safe because you can jump cancel on block and whiff cancel into super.

Lol I just saw that, that was part of my "strange decisions" assertion and now I see that's what he was trying to do.  Lesson here, make sure they're actually blocking.
