Small notification, there will not be any updates from ASW over the weekend as they do not want to upset the weekend players. Current version is somewhat stable so they do not want to make things anymore complicated.

Be assured that ASW's dev team is looking into the various issues for this steam release.
Even though ASW has approached madscientist on the caster program, do take note that it would still take a considerable amount of time to implement this into the game.

So do give them some time on this.
Cheers ! :)

Ver18 has a malware warning from Avast.
For all the previous versions I have never had Avast pop up any warnings before.

I believe if you really want to pick a simple character to start with.

Nanaya Shiki, or Tohno Shiki might be the better choices to go with.

Having a joystick is definitely better in my opinion in the long run, but it is really up to an individual preferences.

I myself started by watching some clips on how to do the BnB combos and applying them in training mode until I can get it right, you can always drop us questions if you hit the wall somewhere. I believe there would be players who are able to help you.

Just a question, anyone knows how to unlock the Eclipse mode for each character on the Arcade cabinets ?
Is there a machine setting that we need to set or unlock ?

Something to correct about your 2nd combo and your corner combo. Lord Knight.

xx > 2c > 236b > j[C] > airdash > delay jC > 2C > 5A > 2C > 22D for okizeme

After j[C], it is not possible airdash for follow up. You must do a jump cancel first then airdash towards your opponent.

I know it doesn't look like it but I tried doing airdash after j[C] and it doesn't work at all. Took me a while to realize I need to do a jump cancel first, which makes therefore you need to be fast.

Need help on the below question.

Anyone knows how to update the MBAACC ver 1.05 arcade cabinet to ver 1.07 ?  :psyduck:

I believe Hamachi helps a bit, my friend who has problems with another friend while using direction connection switched over to hamachi and he doesn't have any problems now at all.

All I can say that FM Arch's 2C is way too godly. Ashe kept my Tohno Shiki from going in by just doing it and I was trying to be way too careful against him.

Her j5C hitbox is so huge that it is easy to crossup people with. I need to rethink strategies on how to fight her  :slowpoke:

Yeah, and you didn't have to be so negative about it.

I didn't say that it could be done easily in a battle, all I am saying is that Roa is capable of doing those sort of things.

Really, people need to chill off a little these days.

Not too sure if I should post this here, if it is a duplicate then can the mods remove this.

But my friend just experimented with Roa combos and this is what he has found out.

Nice damage overall and didn't really think far enough that Roa could actually do this back in PS2 MBAA.

I been doing all the slightly more complicated combos on netplay and it is still working.

Though it is on delay 1, not too sure about 2 delay onwards.

12
The delay is set automatically, you will see it in the pcsx2 console box when someone connects or when you connect to someone else's game.

One problem is that sometimes the game desyncs and you don't get any notification of it at all. I was on skype with my friend and trying to solve the desync problem, have no idea what causes it.

13
Currently been trying with my friends who are all close to each other. Currently tried at delay 1, 2 and 3.

Delay 1 has some really small delay for the player who is joining, host side is totally smooth.

Delay 2 some minor delays for both players but overall still good, precision combos would be hard to connect.

Delay 3 a slight increase in delay for both players but nothing too game breaking.

My view overall is that this implementation is excellent !  :prinny:

I would shell out that provided the game even allows me to buy from Amazon.jp.

Amazon.jp doesn't even allow CP to be imported out as it is categorized under PC window CD instead which thus disallows for importing.

Have already emailed them regarding it and they said they would go check it out, no news till now  :gonk:

In preparation for the new MBAACC on the PC platform, we have created a IRC channel for all the SEA region players.

The channel name is #MBAA-SEA on irc.mizuumi.net.

Below is a link on how to get IRC and link up to our channel.

Netplay will help to a certain extent even though MBAC is different from MBAA. But it still helps in fighting against other human players.

Just that when switching back to MBAA, there are quite a few things to look out for.

I find that MBAC helps me in training my offensive approaches as there is no guard gauge so people could just block indefinitely if you are not throwing them.

Well just my 2 cents worth of opinion, having some improvements is better than have none.

22
Kudos to all the players at Evo 2010 MBAA tourney, you guys did a good job there. Really nice vids from the top 8. Thanks to everyone who made this possible, the cheering crowd, the commentaries from Team Spooky  :)

I try to clear some room for ya in my channels.

Try SGMBAA2, SGMBAA3 or SGMBAA4, the password are the same as their respective channel names.

5B is really a risk on whiff, the move itself has substantial recovery time. Personally, I still prefer C over to H due to her better air normals. I just can't bring myself to like the jC of her H version. Ryougi wise is still weak against people who can rush down really fast or those that have fast and long range moves, Kohaku, Mech Hisui.

Ryougi doesn't have much advantage over Hisui too. I say it is the other way round instead with Hisui having more misc stuff to keep Ryougi down in check with faster air normals.

I find that even though the knife catch mixup is nice for H, people get used to it after a while and will learn how to see it coming. I still prefer C over H due to better air normals, which help against certain characters.
