Started playing this dude after fighting that really good BR F-nanaya, dude is pretty fun.

As far as combos and stuff, I can get 3 hits before the 214B midscreen fairly consistant for oki.

j.C 2A/5B 2C 214B, dash 2C 214A works midscreen, does like 3.3k on V>sion

Near corner you can also do 214B, 2C, 214B, dash 2C>whatever, it's pretty much max damage after a whiffed reversal.

His pressure seems to be do simple shit to get your opponent honest, then start just doing the most confusing shit you can thing of IAD j.C super jump fastfall, teleport divekick...because why not.

Getting delay 2-3 with guys in my state, got delay=3 with a friend on the other coast.  It's still online but hey it works and pretty decently at that.

Probably old for most people, but in the corner vs most of the cast you can blah blah 623[A] j.[C], blood heat 2C super throw arc drive for comedy damage.  I got 8.5k on non reducing V.akiha off instant air dash j.C

You can only j.[C]>blood heat>2C if it's the first bounce though so you can't start this off 421X or 623C, just a good too to have against people who know you can just shield>shield/jump out of her unblockable, or have a reversal that can move out of the way of it.

Mash 5A while holding 5[C], if they clash the charging for some reason you throw out a 4frame jab instantly and basically always win.

Been playing around in training mode since I got my new stick and found a new optimalish combo.

5.6k on v.sion

5B 2B 5C 236B236B236B 2B 22A 2C 3C 236A236[A]236A 236C (IAD j.C not consistant) j.BC j.BC j.236B

Also new 27-60ish meter start from too far away for 236B:   5B 2B 2C 3C 22A 2C 3C 236A236[A]236A 236C (IAD j.C not consistant) j.BC j.BC j.236B does a bit under 5kish again on v.sion.

If you have the meter 5B 2B 5C 236B236B236C 214C j.B(whiff) land (2C) 3C 236A236[A]236A is way better.

I did record a FT5 set with Brandino but I don't think it should be posted here.
I reviewed it and realized I had plenty of flaws to work out so all is good.

How well you did against Brandino is a linear chart to how salty he is.  FT5 isn't much,  know I lost a match or two the first time I fought black key/command throw to him just derpin around  :psyduck:...well not to mention I wasn't as good  :V

So I've been trying to learn Satsuki and have a few questions.

I adjusted the bnb to make it easier, after 2nd j[C], land 5[C] 2[C] 3C 421A
Am I messing up anything here/missing sone easy damage etc? And what moves  hard knockdown?

Also I'm kind of confused starting combos with 2C, feels unnatural. Are there any like typical 2A start into 623 launcher?

Finally, how much damage should these combos be doing? They feel extremely weak for their execution.

5B,5C,3C is a good non 2C starter and I honestly recommend doing this against Kouma/Reis until your confident.  Don't worry about omiting the second 2C after 2[C] I do that, I see jp players doing that, having 100% consistancy on setting up and executing your oki is wayyy more important.  Something else I might want to point out is practice with air/ground teching on random and if you drop a combo anywhere punish it.  Most of the time I drop a combo I'm able to reset it to the point where sometimes I'm able to get invalid combos because of the reset threat.

As far as damage Satsuki is very much a "vortex" style character where everything she does leads to stupid mixups which often lead to more damage.  So while her damage is 4k, nailing a single combo tends to lead to more combos.

I got one question.
I have a problem connecting 2[C], 2C

2C,3C,623[A],8j.[C],delay till you almost touch the ground, 9sj.[C],land,5[C],2[C],2C,3C,(623[A],421A).

Is there like specific timing or something?

Yeah it is wonky on some characters, if you think you might drop it just don't do it.

Yeah 214A works, honestly the whole block>AAD feels gimmicky but it is a really strong options and I have won a good number of matches with it, probably even more from just activating dash in 623C because they jump in shear panic of 214A>AAD.  Just don't forget you can do the blah blah j.[C] stuff land blood heat>stuf 623C>AAD to combo into it just like Catsuki as well.

Eh? What do you mean? Fatsuki combos are pretty much the same length as Catsuki combos, except tighter.

Mostly talking about the optimized 2C,5B,5C finishers and stuff, the jump part of the combo doesn't have an awkward delayed super jump either just jump forward twice and don't think about it, heck midscreen all you can do is dash 2C, so you don't have to worry about 5[C],2[C],2C,5B,5C,623[ B] midscreen which acts a bit wonkier midscreen then in the corner.  Her raw airthrow combo doesn't have the wonky j.[C],j.B in it either.

easy combos.

Fatsuki combos are like shorter versions of Catsuki combos though  :psyduck:.  Hatsuki has the actually hard combos.

I like the look of Fatsuki's normals better if we are going to talk about hype levels.

Actually I would say H is the worst out of the three. Fatsuki has more consistent dmg than C (no reverse beating), has a godlike anti air (5b), has a meterless knockdown, can punish shit with 236c, really scary fmoon pressure, especially with the new CH system.

Hmm I looked up some Fmoon pressure shit, interesting I didn't know it could go on for that long.  Too bad local guys got used to F/C-maids pressure and know how to block forever >:(.  I'll probably start messing around with full again and test some of this shit out and see if I can get it working I havn't played full since the PS2 version.

Also come on guys what are these 6-8k combos off of a V.sion not reducing you know that ain't gonna happen.

It's alot more then just 3[C]>AAD, stuff like 5C, j.C 5B work too.

Also air counter hits are untechable until you hit the ground period not longer hitstun.

Honestly Though, Fatsuki is probably the worst of the three.

*Your stuck with Half's normals without having half's air bullshit or jump cancelable 214A, on top of that no reverse beating.

If you like the bounce dem off the floor combo dunk combos in general play Crescent, if you like 22A alot and like the look of F's normals play half.  Someone may know sometimes I don't, but I honestly don't know why you would play Full.

edit: 623A mixups are pretty nice though.

To be fair you normally shouldn't be EX guarding except during rapid hit moves unless you failed a parried/dodged recently, like for example Warc's rings or Ciels' daggers you can mash in ~2 free EX guards before you have to block a mixup which should give you enough guard.

Dude made F-sion his secondary for C/H-Hime which was probably a good move he couldn't get the j.[C] combos to work for him well even in training mode let alone a match it is the guys first fighter after Marvel, plus I actually know a bit about hime so I can help him there.

A guy here can play C/F Maids decently at least so he was showing them some block for 5 decades pressure, and gotta watch me just block him forever, then blow him up.  Basically his neutral game is way better with C but his pressure is way better with F, once I hit either of them he loses though he doesn't know how to deal with that 3.5/4-way shit...heck nobody does...

Yeah but I'm trying to give people advice on what they should be doing.  Really doesn't help when they are playing someone like F-Sion.  At least with the Shiki's I can say use X really good move alot.

I'm trying to get them focused on oki it is just as important as combos themselves actually probably more important but the only people who really even try shit on oki is the maids player and the nero(do a special congrats pressure).  Everyone else either just runs up and 2As or backs off.

=
Blocking on wakeup is good, as is not mashing tech, but how do they deal with (endless) pressure?

Normally trying to poke out and/or getting hit, I have not gotten 1 guard break yet, and nobody is really EX-guarding to stay in business so until that starts happening they arn't blocking enough.  I actually have switched off my main for a bit to get people more used to blockstrings because Catsuki's is a half grappler sooo blocking isn't the best of idea's against her, plus her stings last like 4 seconds tops.  Unlike when I bust out F-V.Akiha or H-Roa or C-Aoko.

News at state people are figuring out hey I should block on wake up and not tech yay progress :toot:.  Still some massive neutral game problems, but I don't know how to explain melty neutral game.

Yeah it seems like the game of the week so far at state at least until everyone gets tired of being blown up for mashing.

For starter, you can delay the 623 like said above, or you can replace 2C with 5C in most cases, IE 2A 5B 5C 3C BE623A etc

Yeah but that is only off 2A starter, off air counter hit or raw 623[C] you still need to know how to do the delay version.

Another good idea since you will still mess up sometimes, I know I do, is learning that off the 623[A], you can get a sick 2-way crossup that people don't probably know exists.

just 623[A], walk forward, 29
*496 crossup
*backdash uncrossup

I'm going to try to figure out how to use that hitbox viewing stuff this weekend and get images of j.A,j.B,j.C and the 421 series, and 214B/C.

You have to do it right before she hits the ground for some reason the first hit can hit and the second can miss you could also just skip 2C and just do 3C which might be better if your in a tourney setting and don't practice against her.

Fixed yeah it looks like I wrote 2A/63214C the first time and just copy pasted it for a while, the stuff I added in later was using 2C/63214C like it should of been.

Well throw will get stuff by mashing always so that is to be expected, but 2C after 421B/A is completely safe unless they are using a reversal.

Fine fine. :prinny: While we're at it we may as well start H/F-Satsuki stuff as well... whenever Mizuumi's back.

Someone started a Hatsuki wiki by c/ping alot of stuff from the old wiki.  I don't know much about Hatsuki/Fatsuki.  I don't even sub them.  There are other characters I would prefer to work on then H/F Satsuki, plus I'm not done with this one yet :V .  So other people are going to have to pick up the slack if anyone even cares.

Help write the wiki too man, there is too much stuff :bricks:, plus I need some double checking.

On the wiki I see some stuff that has 2A listed as a low option, but is it really low? It seems like I've had people block it both high and low(plus visually it looks like a mid).

Yeah I knew that derp, fixing now

edit: Can't wiki seems to be down for me someone else can fix it if they can connect to it before I get around to checking again.

Also, in matches people can just keep mashing out of my mixup attempts, does that mean I'm just doing everything too slowly?

Which mixups specifically and what exactly are you going for if your getting hit out of j.C you are messing up your timing.  If I have some mixups listed as unsafe that pretty much means that yeah you gotta worry about people mashing out.
