Any chances of a random gathering this weekend?

I'd be down, since it looks like UP may not be a go.

52
lol at the SRK poll.

53
Will the machines be on event mode for casuals? Why is it that every time I look forward to something, it gets gayed up right before? :mystery: :psyduck:

54
I didn't get to make it to the last one, hopefully i'll have better luck this time around.

and GG players that's messed up saying MB can't be taken seriously.. OMG like damn that was like GG for a long ass time.. I mean why should GG be taken seriously!!!? HAHA.. what a contridiction...

sorry, but that's never been true.

even the jappos hate MB because its an otaku game.

Are you sure about that. GG was written off as an SF clone. I mean did you play the original GG or just start at X and after. And if your other statement is true, then why-o-why do they keep playing it. I guess some people just love to hate. Even in a forum dedicated to the game they're hating on. :mystery:

Miyako Arima / Re: Combo/Strats Thread
« on: March 29, 2008, 03:42:45 PM »
It's propably useless, but I like the way of doing a j623B j623C after her BnB instead of doing an airthrow (because of the wallslam :V). It doesn't do MUCH more damage, but looks cool. Though, its unsafe because the opponent can regenerate in the air and surprise you from far up, where he cannot be seen.

As said, (propably) useless. I've never seen a Miyako besides my casual one doing this actually.

I'll do this, but only to get a kill. As you said it's not really a safe option.

Is it a harem anime (one guy and multiple girls)?

haha you better damn believe it  :slowpoke:

The thing is in most harems we can wonder if the protagonist is gay because they never do what needs to be done. We don't have to worry about Makoto in that aspect.

Since when does J.Wong play MB. The world is coming to an end. :prinny:

As much as I respect Monty Oum for his animation skill, he really needs to pick better games to mash together in random fighting.  =\

Why, this is near epic. The games don't matter. What he does with the characters is what matters. And some people(maybe a lot, who knows :blah:)don't agree with you.

I need team for Team Tourney :toot:
Anyone's fine just let me know :toot:

Team "It's always Jiyuna's turn."  How very unoriginal. :prinny:

Nothing against you, but saying "There is no Tsukihime anime" should be a bannable offense. Or at least a black star...

...In my opinion that is...

Laughing at your non-mod status :D ;D :V. But we're off topic.

64
I'm Kadou Kage-sama.
I'm a fan of anime and manga, and of couse a big fan of Fate/stay night and Tsukihime. I play as Kohaku mostly in Melty Blood: Act Cadenza.

Word of advice. There is no Tsukihime anime. Remember that well. :teach:

I was listening to Alphaism radio tonight, and Bunkei was saying performance is overall slower when on Windows Classic themes. Anyone experience anything similar? The fuckin Vista theme is ugly as fuck.

Fuck Vista >:D. If anyone wants to know where to get custom themes from just PM me.

I don't think Nrvnqsr does. He stays in the air for an incredibly long time. Also to find out all that's needed is a simple experiment. Pick Miyako and do her basic wallslam combo and just time how long it takes for them to fall after the wallslam. Everyone doesn't fall at the same speed or there would be no combos that have to be timed differently for certain characters fall speed.

I'll bring my laptop, anything else isn't certain yet. I'll try to see in the next few weeks what I can bring across the state.

69
Next free play day is the 18th, not sure if anyone is gonna be able to make it down for that one though :psyduck:

Kevin, Min is bringing his laptop too just in case you for some reason forget to bring yours, so we'll be covered

A  Tuesday?

I think he meant February 18th.

70
Now i've played for a week now and now I can say i'm pretty decent :D

Well, no matter how good anyone thinks they are, we all would still get knocked out first round at SBO, so we all suck anyways. And yes, this includes myself, anyone who may have won national tournaments, or large FT10 matches.

Seriously, why don't you guys just focus on getting better as a community instead of fighting all the time? Then again, what do i know about being good, im just a scrub... :blah:

p. much this

Honestly, if fighting games truly want to become professionalized, I don't know if that shit can stay.  There's a reason you don't hear about big money matches in tennis or golf...

-Josh

Every Tennis and Golf tournament(Major and side tournies) have stupidly large pots where more than the top three bring home winnings. A $100 golf or tennis match is NOWHERE near big money in that circle. This is not a good comparison in any shape or form. People that play proffesional sports in this country make an insane amount of money and have sponsors and agents(to find them ways of making even more money) And also what is a $100 match when membership to a golf or a tennis club will cost you several times that amount. Once again, Video Games/Proffesional Sports=not a good comparison.

« on: March 19, 2008, 03:18:23 AM »
How the hell did I stumble across this site :mystery:. I was probably drunk one night and randomly searching for a recipe for something to munch on. I really have no idea whatsoever, but I'm here. I don't know if that's a good or a bad thing. :slowpoke:

73
I'll probably make it out to this. Too early to start the hype though.

74
I'm there(hopefully)

Akiha's Tea Room / Re: What's special about you?
« on: March 14, 2008, 09:12:51 PM »
I am not special in anyway. My un-uniqueness makes me unique. I look like everyone, I'm average height, weight and shoe size. Average intellect and an average life. Sometimes I feel like crying at the redundancy that is my life.

O, who am I kidding. There is nothing about me that's the same as the next person except maybe interests. Other than that I'm probably completely nuts, probably don't use my above average intelligence for anything except my own desires. If I were to list the things that make me different I'd probably be here for a good long while. Let's just say I'm from a different planet.(j/k...........maybe):prinny:

Oh yeah, when spring time rolls around I can sneeze that many times in a row.(damn seasonal allergies.)
