Yeah the 2C>236B>236A variant definitely generates more damage than 2C>4C>236A and switched up to using that a ways back. On top of netting more damage, it seems more consistent than 2C>4C>236A for some reason (I think there were some changes made to how 2C and 4C can be canceled). Didn't know that TWO reps of 2C>236B>236A was possible though. That's good stuff. Don't know why JP players (outside of Ragu) still aren't optimizing damage with this character. :mystery:

Also, vs Necos, Wlen, Satsuki, and Tohno, Fciel can get in some messed up 5B>2C loop against them (I've gotten up to 5 reps in AA). Still works in CC from what I remember but I never bothered to modify the loop (throwing in 236B>236A in place). Here's what it looked like in AA: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=b0YzVmdDG44#t=150s

If possible, add delay to training mode. Like offline training, add and adjust delay on it. So like, we don't drop stuff as much online.
Haha I remember the caster for AC having this option. It was pretty good, like training with weights on.

Quote
@Zar, y'mean like, set the dummy on manual and have it pilloted by whoever you connect to online? that'd be great.
Yeah, exactly like that. I wanted something like this badly back when I was teaching players about Aoko in AC. I'd have them connect to themselves through debug mode then I'd spectate to give them live tips about combos, setups, movement, etc. while they were in a lag-free environment. But being able to join in with them with access to training options like infinite meter/health would also be good to supplement the method I was using for AC. Had a few "students" who progressed surprisingly well and fast with this regimen.

Quote
If they eventually come, I don't care when they come.
Although immediately, I think I'd just want the replay bug fixed. If it hasn't already been fixed anyway.
Spectator mode would also be very useful, but I'd say not as important as replay as you prolly won't remember everything that happened in the match you spectated.
Wow, didn't even know the replay thing was an issue (dont have the game yet) but that seems kind of important and is probably one of the most beneficial tools for self-improvement (imo). I'd change my vote to that if I could.

This guy is streaming replays of a netplay tourney (I think). Nico streams close after 30mins so refer to https://twitter.com/niconama_over for updates on refreshed links.

yesssss spectator moooooooodo!

so should I wait for this next task to be complete before requesting an idea of my own??
edit:
someone mentioned relay mode (for those who cant host)
some way to access training mode after connecting would be cool (live tutorial puposes)

Don't expect these to happen really but just throwing it out there with my fingers crossed.

Hey, Mizuki thanks for putting up this thread. I'd like to stream either youtube vids or CC netplay matches in the future but my laptop is rather "meh". Was wondering if you could provide me with information on the best settings I can use for optimal streaming quality with the equipment I'm currently using. Also, the software I'm using is the default that twitch provides which is xsplit. Below are specs. Hope this helps.

Processor: AMD-E450 APU w/ Radeon HD Graphics 1.65 GHz
RAM: 4.00 GB (3.60 usable)
64-bit OS

Internet
According to Speedtest.net
(Ran three separate tests)

down
19.21, 19.94, 20.37 mbps

up
2.04, 2.0, 1.99 mbps

Adapter Info
Type: AMD Radeon HD 6320

How does the double flash kick stuff work? Gravity, position, character dependent?
All three actually lol. I used to have a list somewhere (in one of the threads I think or in my notepad) for the variance among the cast but off the top of my head iirc Nanaya, Kouma, Nero, Tohno, and Ries were the easiest to do it on in that the number of hits (gravity) didn't affect the difficulty of the combo dramatically. Other characters you had to do a specific starter that usually involved fewer hits, different air combo sequence, and/or slowing down the air combo (position) to land double somer. Used to know this stuff off the top of my head but when you don't use it. . .

Also...why in the HELL was this thread named "F-urry"?! Fuck outta here with that nonsense!  >:(

I'm sad I just now found out about these. Some BnB/semi-neta combo vids by Ragu of varying difficulty from easy to advanced. Use http://www.mmcafe.com/nico.html (nico redirector) if you dont have account.

Difficulty: Free
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm18256923

Difficulty: Hmmm. . .alright
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm18257872

Difficulty: Goddammit!
http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm18258418

Really wish he varied up the training dummy for these because Nanaya is one of the "easier" characters to do some of these loops and extenders on. Most of it is still practical though.

What should I do for corner pressure? I've mostly doing the 5A5A 5B 5C 214C and then follow up with an A flicker, but that always puts distance.

Yeah, this is late...

A lot of it is still applicable (save the Shadow Snipe spam and some of the armor strings). Hope this gives you some ideas though.
EDIT: Actually, Shadow Snipe spam still has valid use but the reward is smaller now due to tweaked guard bar in CC.

#callmadscientist???

Wow, thanks for not being an utter and complete irrational asshole about contributing something needed so long ago and as essential to the community as this. . .

And I know this probably doesn't mean much but preemptive kudos and thank yous to whomever else decides to contribute their time to this project and bring it closer to perfection.

Good work, Madscientist, and good luck!

This is a year late, but same question: AnimeNEXT NJ 2013? Anyone? ..........................................~chirp chirp
Your best bet would be to attend the event...with a laptop that has CC already installed...bust it out and put it on display somewhere - anywhere - and see if you'll get someone - anyone's - attention in the venue (Bonus points if you bring extra peripherals). It's better than sitting on your hands waiting for someone else to take on the task...Like much of the community has done since CC's release.

If you're really that hungry, you can do something proactive like set up an official tourney thread for this event to see who may be interested and grab at least on person's attention. That way, instead of using your hands as a chair you could be using them to press buttons that day.

Someone punched in the code to unlock C moon and decided to go on a hot streak.

37
Hey Shinobi, you wouldn't happen to know how to screencap and display through Skype, would you? Would like to sneak in some commentary if possible, assuming you'll be 100% on streaming this later in the week.

38
Someone do a proper stream for this. Don't feel like dl'ing the game again. :|

Thanks for reps, madscientist. Also, lol @ spooky still "playing" this game.

39
The cap means that we think these games are either close to reaching these caps or they will equal those bracket levels once we close emergency door registration:

 Ultimate MVC3: 512
 Super SF4: AE v2012: 512
 Tekken Tag 2: 512
 Street Fighter x Tekken: 256
 King of Fighters 13: 128
 Persona 4 Arena: 128
 Mortal Kombat 9: 128
 Soul Calibur 5: 128
 Dead or Alive 5: 128
 Melty Blood AA: 64

Oh crap, my bad. Failed at reading comprehension on that one lol. 64 was just the cap for the game fffffff. BUT ShinBlanka does say that the caps are close to total number of entrants or are equal so maybe there was a fair amount of players participating(?). Someone would have to correct me on that. Sorry for dropping that misinformation  :nyoro:

40
So from the looks of LK's tweets it seems like:

1) LK
2) Inso
3) Voomer
4) ZomB
5) MadScientist
5) SilentShinobi
7) kara palm
7) svx

??? Eh, maybe.
So there was no stream, obviously. Not really that surprised or upset even. I think I understand why things are the way they are for the mb community at the moment and I would comment about it but people tend to write off what I say as "real talk that's out of line" so it's whatever.

Back to square one, y'all. Thanks to ShinBlanka for still caring.

41
You seem surprised by this revelation...How long have you been playing this game? lol

Anyway, won't be surprised of top8/top4 gets sneaked into one of the main streams again this year. I think ShinBlanka has pulled strings for MB heads in the past. Also, extremely surprised at 60+ entrants for pre-reg. Perhaps MB lives on in the South!? :mystery:

p.s. obligatory Kappa

42
Lol You guys crack me up with that one...

Youtube version of purps's link. This vid is fucking COMPLETE in every sense of the word. (7m25s mark made my bowels move  :nyoro: )

Also, props to Purps for the juggle breakdowns. 2B>2C pickup I find perplexing yet hilarious.

Man, Blue is still a beast. Would main (this version of) her again if the game weren't dead and all lol.  :blah:

And I'm not sure , but I think there is a soft ban in place in Japanese tourneys on her 22 infinites (both blockstrings and combos) since I never see anyone do it in tourney. But she has it.
Like here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=St32r6KyoZg#t=109s
