I've yet to see any good F-Len videos to inspire me to pick her up again. Only her aegis reflectors are gimmicky fun.

FFA's B1 was bought from me. Upgrade went to AI.

i've owned one, worst $149 i ever spent.

the lag is caused by the converters it comes with to work on console games, when it goes from PC to DC or PS2 or etc. if youre using it solely on your PC, they you wont experience any lag.

its overly expensive as a stick with cloned parts: the stick is a cloned Ultimate Stick, and cloned Happ buttons. They're just "okay" but like i said before, overpriced for non-genuine parts.

if you really wanted american style sticks, i'd trust http://www.massystems.com/ProStick.html
if you want to go japanese stick route: Hori Real Arcade Pro series, Madcatz TE. Id even recommend the new 2nd batch Madcatz SE sticks.

Those SF4 ones like the Madcatz TEs and the Matcatz SEs are also very good. Either version will work on a PC. If you mod the SE you can get a better stick than the HRAPS and would cost slightly cheaper.

The madcats are also easier to perform a custom art mod.

That being said, i'm only here to show off my recently modded sticks.

Scott: KoFXII is currently being offered at anywhere from $3500-$4000, not including shipping. I've been quoted $1500 shipped for MBAA used. So it's more like $2000 difference, but you get the idea. Still a significant difference. No way I'm going to pay $2500 for new MBAA hahahaha. No reason to, really.

I'd rather take my chances with a niche game like MBAA, because it is cheaper, and no one around here has it...

ahh okay, that makes a little more sense.

well dude, youre the 2nd person i've come across that wanted to open up an arcade in this terrible environment, in more ways than one, and since youre already committed, the only thing i can say is GOOD LUCK.

i don't think MBAA is worth getting unless you know you have a standard base of fighting game fans first. That's your 3s, Mvc2, cvs2, GGAC players. Get MBAA if you have those already.

my advice on KOF12, don't even consider to get it until it falls to $2500 or less. (and it will, because the revenue data from it is pretty poor)

MBAA is about $3000 cheaper than KoFXII.

That doesnt sound right.

Yes, i would like to see pics of various proof.

cuz people will have to go out and mingle with other players, and not be dicks to each other online. And i'm not exactly saying the "PS2 is better than PC", but really "PS2 is better than Netplay" and that having no netplay can be better for the community.

72
PS2 port is better than a PC port.

people will have to start going to venues for tournaments again, and not be stuck at the PC on their precious netplay. it'll be like 2007 all over again.

WT died not because of the players but because Arlieth stopped running tournaments. You also have to keep in mind that even when Arlieth popularized the game (and he tried hard and did a great job; he got a lot of FFA people into it and the entire MB community here is because of him) it was already an old game.

--

I think people took a while to realize that MBAC was, on many levels, not a very good game. Combine that with a very small scene full of many casual players who were in it only because of Tsukihime and had no real competitive drive and the scene was going to thin itself out over time, which led to a snowball effect: people don't want to play a game with a small scene, which led to people quitting, etc. Combine that with the real driving force behind the scene disappearing and you have what is happening now.
I'm sure the Simi folk still think MBAC is still a good game. you can't blame the game if the scene died.

WT died because Arlieth stopped running tournaments. He stopped because you people have a toxic attitude to each other, and even to MB the game itself. I think he finally realized that it wasn't worth the uphill battle to make the community a better place.

If you think just waiting for MBAA to be released on console just so you fuckers can download the game, will revive "the scene" by itself in any way, you'd be mistaken. Netplay is nice and all, but that's not critical mass. WT wasn't dependent on Netplay, nor was it for SF4.

I know some of you have your hearts in the right place, and I wish i had a solution, but i dont. The only thing i can do is keep the WC MBAA machine in working order, and record matches off it.
