you just didn't list any 3C combos in the first post so I thought it was worth a mention  :slowpoke:

This game does not have any bad characters. As [someone in irc] said, this game has broken characters, retarded characters, and pretty solid characters.

There's really no one 'broken' IMO in AA.

Use B parry (i think it's B, might be C, whichever one has less recovery) as your whiff cancel. It's just as fast and saves you a reverse beat. You also look cool  :toot:

Catching knife out of the AD not only kills your forward momentum, it eliminates airdash recovery.

And if you used your knife in the corner to start 3C loop, cancel your last rep into knife pickup rather than doing air combo, unless you really want that meter over your knife for some reason.

After 3C you should be doing 5B, not 2A. Unless you just listed that for being too close, but from my experience you're almost always able to hit with 5B.

You can also do stuff like 5B 5C 6C 63214C 3C 5B 2C 6C (don't charge this, it'll do a 3rd wallbound) shin-nin ender.

On air counter-hits, if you have meter and land 3C, you can tack on another by doing 5B 63214C 3C but it takes a bit of precision when you catch them with 5B again.

Airthrowing sucks because the recovery is so long. For some characters you recovery after they get up, meaning you completely lose pressure.

So I came up with a pretty lol combo.

Back to corner:

combo to 2C -> 421C -> run to other side 2C -> 421C -> repeat until you are out of meter

SO GOOD AS A MATCH ENDER

Also if you for some reason land a 421C and they aren't near the corner (which means you'll just lose your pressure), you can hold 2 and Arc will throw them in to the ground like her normal throw. It does around 2K unprorated IIRC.

No, you need to delay the 236B after the first 2C so they are lower to the ground.

I have 2 questions regarding F-Arc:
1. the corner combo, is for character specific? i have a hard time landing the second 236b on Kouma, but maybe that's just me not geting used to it well.
2. in the midscreen combo after the serie of claw moves, how can i continue the combo with j.c?, since the last 623b doesn't seem to be posible to jump cancel.
3. i forgot one last question!. In the third combo, the one that requires a 421c, you've got to delay the 623a after the first 2c?, because for me the 623a miss ???, that's all and thanks.

I haven't even tried the combo in #3 yet. I just continue with the normal 2C 236B combo.

1. I haven't noticed much character specifics really. Just delay the 6A after 623A as long as you can. You also need to delay 236B for a few frames after connecting with 2C. You'll get a feel for the delays eventually.
2. 623B is jump cancellable as long as it hits. The only problem I can think of is that you've already jump-cancelled a move in your combo. You can only do it once per combo.

Only her AAD is unblockable.

Good enough! She gets meter so fast anyways.

That's what I figured.

Anyone know how good Ryougi's oki game is?

As far as I've seen with all the hours I've put into it, C-Ryougi has next to nothing for oki. TK 236 for an overhead, but that wallslams and puts us back in the same position, however it does have recovery time allowing for it to be punished...don't do this.

Actually C-Ryougi has a really good mixup with her 421C. You can cancel normals out of it and go into an airdash. Things like 421C j.B airdash j.B 236A/land 2A are very useful mixups. She can also randomly cross-up during the airdash.

Her ADs are unblockable rofl

189
We'll see how many entrants there are  :mystery:

190
Sure will! It should go more smoothly this time since Mark runs it, I can probably guarantee setups rather than losing them midway through :slowpoke:

I'll be doing double-elim this time though, the round-robin took a little too long.

191
Tell him to be generous to Melty Blood and give it more time  :teach:

192
Make him come too, we need MORRRRE

193
Well we haven't had one yet, since the game just came out  :slowpoke:

Tae should be getting his actual copy soon so he's already got a set-up, but I'll be sure to let you know when we do.

194
I'll confirm that you can time-unlock Boss Rush and characters. My friend Joe and I have had well over 200 matches played and I imagine that would take a while. When we turned on the setup at NWM yesterday we had all the characters unlocked (except for A:E)

195
Pretty small event but I didn't expect a large amount considering not many people play MB in the first place  :toot:

Well practice damn you :psyduck:

And come to Tae's more often or something, we'll probably have a setup every time from now on.

197
After running a side-tourney yesterday at Northwest Majors, I got some decent turnout and I've decided to make a thread to hopefully get some new players and get a scene for AA going. A lot of the people up here also play Guilty Gear and Blazblue. We usually have weekly meetings in the vicinity, usually in Tacoma or Federal Way. Games often played are GG and BB (now including AA!) and just some random stuff when we get bored.

There are no AA arcade machines here, sadly :(

Our events are of course local tournaments, including Northwest Majors (Washington tourney), Random Select (Oregon tourney) and Vancouver Overture (Canada tourneys!).

Don't be shy now  :psyduck:

So PM your info and I'll put it up in the first post!

ANNOUNCEMENTS!:

None!

PM me to have some casuals.

bump  :psyduck:

I'm going to this and I was wondering/hoping this was still going to happen? I know a few of us would be interested (my friend and I will definitely enter if it happens), but in total there should be 10 of us max that would enter. The number isn't exact or guaranteed, but it's worth brining it up.
