I had a dream last week about Neco Hisui. Her front dash had a lot of invincibility frames. It was sick.

-Akiha's arc drive is interesting in that its one of the few attacks in the game that can be mashed by you to affect its damage.  If you mash buttons while the animation is going on, you'll notice the flames become more intense and the sound will be a bit louder.  Mashing while the heat arc drive is in effect increases its damage, and if you mash enough, you can sometimes add almost 1000 damage.  But for some reason, mashing reduces the damage from the Blood Heat version(but increases the amount of hits).  Go figure.
I found out that if you mash during her BHAD around the 35+ Hit mark, you get a 'bit' more damage.

That's what I had in mind. The community/group would be rankings within the group. And the guild would be rankings among others.

Suggestion:

How about a Community/Group and a Clan/Guild/Team system?

A community/group can be where you can get a sub-ranking within members of that group only. It can be matches played within a certain community. And you can join more than one group. So a user can create a group and invite people (or people can request to join) that user's group and the creator will have to validate them. So I know for example Jen has a MB community on Deltaanime IRC, she can create a group and they can play each other and see where they stand or something.

A clan/guild/team can be like a group of 7 people (or some limit) and a player can only join 1 team. And you can do like team battles and get a point or ranking for each team victory. The winners willl probably have to send in the results themselves or something. You can have different team formats I guess, like 1v1 x (number of players in a team) [DETERMINED BATTLES or RANDOMLY PICKED] and the winner is the most wins. Or maybe like a player keeps playing each member of the opposite team until he loses or everyone on the team is defeated. So it's like a mini-tournament once a week or something like that. That'd be fun =O

Fixes:

http://meltyblood.de/CasterStats/charselect.php?char=Akiha
Maybe rank by the new scoring system. And add Win/Loss and Win%.

http://meltyblood.de/CasterStats/characterranking.php
Maybe only rank by number of players with the character as a top 3 most played. That way if someone has 5000 matches of character XX, it won't dictate when 70% of the community plays with YY. So it will be like 30/100 (30%) people have Akiha as their top 3 most played. And also add links on the character names.

Ahh... I was confused for a while there.

Code: [Select]
Win Quota:
Matches: 333 out of 372 (90%)
Rounds: 3637 out of 4450 (82%)

I was wondering why the Match count was so low. You mean Sessions (not Matches), and I think you mean Matches (not Rounds)!

Suggestions:
This might be confusing with the terminology you have right now on the site. But maybe add different wording to the stat tables and different stat tables like:

Code: [Select]
Player Ranking:
x (y Points)

Win Quota:
Sessions: x out y (z%)
Matches: x out of y (z%)
Rounds: x out of y (z%)

Overall Win Percentage: ((<-- Should just be the percentage of matches you've won))

Match Details:
2-0: w
2-1: x
1-2: y
0-2: z

Most Used Characters (Matches):
1 : x (1655, 38%)
2 : x (1176, 27%)
3 : x (431, 10%)

Play Time:
Code: [Select]
Character Most Played Against (Matches)

Character Most Won Against (Matches)

Character Most Lost Against (Matches)

User Most Played Against(Matches)

User Most Won Against (Matches)

User Most Lost Against (Matches)

Longest Sessions Played With (Time)
Code: [Select]
Character Details (Sort by most used)
[Character Name] ( [matches played] [win percentage] [Match Details maybe] [Characters most won/lost against maybe])

Yeah, maybe something along those lines. Could add/remove some stuff depending on how much stress it'll put on the server. =O

Suggestions:

You could change the ranking system to a score system rather than number of wins or win percentage. Like a scoring system where each 2-0 counts as 3 points, 2-1 counts as 2 points, and 1-2 count as 0 points, and 0-2 counts as -1 or something like that. This might be hard to do but maybe calculate in the ranking of the player you're playing against, or a character you're using like an alt or your main.

Could add a male/female sub-category.

Maybe add a win percentage for characters instead of just overall win percentage in a profile.

Maybe add an Guestbook for the site on the side under Current Stuff.

And also maybe calculate in ranking for not only the top 3 played characters per player. Because this might screw over the less popular characters. And the players that spend a lot of time with more than 3 characters. Maybe register them in the rankings if they play a character for more than x hours or something if that character is not already in the top 3 most played for that player.

Bugs:

Fix/add terms: sessions, matches, rounds.
Like Most won against characters (matches): 1 : Ciel (297)
Like Most won against users (sessions): 1 : xxx (8)

VSion doesn't show up in any stats.

Under player ranking, maybe put Descending as default.

Character stats -> Play count, percentage.

Ciel's Tech Support / Caster's mbacPC.exe not ending process when exiting
« on: February 16, 2009, 06:42:49 PM »
This has been happening for a long time but I finally decided to write about it. As the detailed title says:

I start up Caster.
I join a game (mbacPC.exe pops up).
I exit the game (Caster's still up in the background).
But mbacPC.exe is still in the Task Manager running even though I closed the window.

If the process is still up, I can't join a game on caster because it tries to run mbacPC.exe again and it won't come up, and I can't play single player UNTIL I exit out of Caster which terminates mbacPC.exe or I manually end it in task manager with Caster still up.

Well, more specifically, it's mbacPC.exe *32 because I'm on 64-bit Windows. It never happened with my old computer which was on a 32-bit. Anyone else have this problem?

Ciel's Tech Support / Re: MBAC on Multi-core PCs

You need to force it to run on a single core.

I had this problem before. I'd restart my computer and run MB on a dual core. It'd run on 60 FPS. Then I'll leave it on and come back a few hours later, and it'd drop to around 40 FPS. It doesn't happen if I run it on a single core. You need to do this on netplay too, or people won't like playing you. There are programs out there to automatically force programs to run on a set number of cores automatically so you don't have to Ctrl+Shift+Esc, Right Click, a, space, enter, each time (if you're running Win XP).

There's also CravingExplorer.

I use my shirt and put it over the D-Pad. This makes it easier for your left hand to move around. You can also wrap your shirt around to the back if your inner knuckle of your middle finger between the pointer and middle finger starts to get sore. I've grown so used to this style, I can't play Pad without a shirt, and I find myself accidentally doing this with my DS.

Dude Kurii, stop making new threads for all these vids.

Leave it in one thread.
Hmm... I thought about it, but then figured different subjects was more appropriate in different topics (which make sense). But if you wanna be a forum Nazi, you can tell Irysa to post his videos in one thread, or Psylocke to post his a-cho videos in one thread, and then get a moderator to combine my 3 topics into 1 and name it "Hisui Stuff".

Wow, I don't know why you're catching feelings over this, but it was a suggestion really.

All three of your threads are directly related to Hisui, so they'd be better off in one thread anyway, no?

Calling out other people is a bitch move though, good job on that, even if this is the internet.

 :emo:
Not much of catching feels as it is to why you're trying to telling me what to do and why it even matters to you. I could only call you out because you set yourself up. I think the word is "touché". But at any rate, if it makes you less emo, you can get a moderator to combine it. I couldn't really care less.
