Unsure if I'll be out this year. Depends on my money situation, but I can probably get a friend to split the room with me.

Precisely.

Doesn't sound useful.

The idea is that since my neutral game is so bad forcing myself to use certain attacks will sorta imbed how to use them. As I said, probably for naught.

It seems that the hype tends to happen outside of this thread, doesn't help that we haven't been able to do a live stream the past few times. And a few other reasons.

I still intend to be there, my system is stream capable should we have a viable connection.

I was reading some articles and came across this vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DSq9uGs_z0E

Which led me to think, how would this be applied to Melty?

So... simplest level of melty, the attacks themselves.

Thus I'm trying this out to see what it does to my neutral game.

Setup: Pick character, Random opponent (CPU), whatever moon.

Base rules: The only attacks usable are specified, whatever else is fair game.

Phase 1: Only use A attacks until a KO is reached.
Phase 2: Only use B attacks until a KO is reached.
Phase 3: Only use C attacks until a KO is reached.
Phase 4: Only use specials until a KO is reached.
Phase 5: Finish whatever round you finished phase 4 on using whatever rules.

Phase 4 is a pain with Ryougi because her specials are sorta hard to connect with properly.

I'm mostly doing this out of curiosity, I don't really expect anything from it. Feel free to insert vitriol here.  :nyoro:

Because the link on the other topic is now incorrect: http://forums.mirrormoon.org/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3851

Partial English patch.

Restream is here: http://www.twitch.tv/livingshdw

Edit: my bad on messing up the pairings, this is why I try to get it labeled during the Tournament. There were a lot of F-Aoko and Wara players, and I had to guess based on the times.

Summer Jam restream will be at 4PMish on Saturday.

33
Due to bad connection there was no stream, I'm going to see about getting a restream up this saturday.

34
I know I'll be there, mine was the laptop we tested the streaming on.

This is actually something I found on Ryougi a while ago on her 421 series (which has since been patched to work correctly). I don't really think it has an actual application unless the difference between a forward and backward airdash is enough to get you better positioning.

36
I was planning on it. My comp is also stream capable, but you might want to do some sort of hdmi splitting to stream from a consistent comp.

37
You know I'm good for bringing mine.

38
The best we can seem to do at the moment is a restream. Which I've been handling.

39
Seems like that IS the same weekend as Summer Jam. Welp...

Could it be possible to link the events together so that say... the top four of each event get put into a top 8 bracket and we do some sort of netplay-based top 8?

40
I'm planning on being there so I'll try to make sure all the replays are saved again. I'll get what I can collect to you afterwards.

41
Noted, and at a time I can actually make this time.

Time to grind practice mode again.

This len player Himebagu no hito is fun to watch. Weird and awesome C-Len Gimmicks.

That just gives me the picture of Melty hooked up to gigantic speakers.

44
In terms of date, the only thing to keep in mind is that Otakon is August 9-11 thus some people won't be available that weekend.
. . .

ANIMEEEERRRRRRR  :gonk:
Get on my level.  :toot:

Otherwise, I'd be in the same boat as Tigre. Mostly because I commute across 3 states daily and I don't feel like driving it.

46
Shinobi, do you happen to have a bracket for the tournament, even if it's for just top 8?

47
This game isn't dead, it's sleeping. There's plenty of people who will play, you just need to provide setups and convince them to.

48
Yeah, the only tough input is that pretzel motion you need to do for 3412361c (Yes, that's an input for C-Kohaku, the aforementioned KohaInstall. I think I have it written right there.). I was actually using a variation of a hitbox while we were still using the ps2 version.

It seems that most of the PA melty crew are elsewhere at the moment. However, I do plan on dropping by Classic Game Junkie on the weekends where gatherings are held there (assuming the 2 hr drive is worth it).

Here's my guess as to what happened.

When you hit both of them the combo counter considers the partner in a comboable state until it wakes up completely.

That's my main thought.
