Planned some time ago by Mts, the event will start January 24 and last until February 3 in his beach house at Pinheira Beach, Palhoça, Santa Catarina. We are looking forward for lots of fun, Melty, and seabaths at night with some alcohol and chicks maybe. m1kan also said if we buy fish he can make sashimi. Some of our best players already had confirmed their presence and there are even more to confirm. If you want to come be sure to instruct yourself with Mts if necessary as well as clearing any doubts you might have. There is plenty of space. If you want to know more about the place, here (you'll have to translate somehow). The place is 20 mins from Florianópolis, so if you want to come by plain, go to Florianópolis and we'll catch you there.

it seems most of the top8 matches are missing

who the fuck still didnt post the replays or it wasnt saved?
All of those matches were run on Rayza's desktop, and no one has uploaded those replays yet.
Wow, what's going on guys? If you guys think no one is interested in your scene, you're terribly wrong. Since NEC is said to be your biggest event, I know a bunch of players who are really interested in it, myself included (and probably lots of players from US too who couldnt go or have a potential crush on MB). But if it takes long people will just forget about it. Actually I think it's already too late. Please be more agile next time. The scene wont get better known at this rate. I guess I'm just stating the obvious, but sometimes it can be handy.

Tournament Results / Re: Spring Cup 2013
« on: December 01, 2013, 08:28:42 AM »
Spring Cup was our biggest event since the community's beginning, with 38 participants (out of 54 subscribes). It was a democratic event: participated in the recent and the former, although many couldn't be able to play for one or another important reason, since it was with fixed day and time. We had, however, the presence of player who never before had appear, like Faber, VonSouza and Roundabout. Be all very welcome. Moreover, we had the participation of Shin, our dear old community leader and bot of our old MSN chat, key person behind the scene we have today, of Lanford and Ky, who didn't participate a tourney for years, of Keoma, my friend from times who today is a renowned Street Fighter IV top player in Brazil and plays Melty Blood once in a year, of SrTroll and Cabritagem, who began to play about one week before the event: we had the presence of many; Spring Cup was like an event is suppose to be: something that gather everyone around in something fun and with high competitive potential. Yes, in our point of view Spring Cup was a sucess.

The execution of the championship was swift, although some players were a little off. The schedule was posted in Spring Cup threads (on all the different forums) and in the chat for several times during the event, however apparently the link didn't appear for some players, probably by mibbit webchat's fault (we don't ask people to acess it via mIRC for nothing). The event followed the schedule strictly and we finished around 11 pm as expected. As the organizar I might say that the results channel and the help channel were really helpful. Thank to everyone who strove for smooth running of the tournament.

During the event, some incidents happened and shall be me mentioned at a curiosity level. Arkhar was classified, however he gave up the competition because the internet was bad in his whole city and he didn't want to push down the eliminatory phase: a example to be followed. Aruki, Onihime, Sir White and Berxp had to leave before the tournament's ending. Saikyo didn't want to win without playing against Jellyheaven (the match was impracticable) and preffered to give the match away.

Akiha's Tea Room / Melty Brasil has now a blog :D
« on: November 02, 2013, 04:32:54 PM »
Sup guys. Str and I have been working hard on this for almost 1 month now and it's finally ready:

http://www.meltybrasil.com.br/

All the credits go for str, because I'm a complete newbe on programming and webdesign.

Goals

The idea behind the site is having a place with easy acess Melty Blood news that also serves to help beginners to situate themselves without much effort, making it easier for new players to get into the game.

Subjects to be adressed

Anything around the Melty Blood universe, more precisely:

- The game and the scene in the world: news, discussions, championships, challenges, interviews, combo movies, tutorial videos, guides, etc;
- Ally sites championships (or any Melty championship);
- Works with direct relation to the game: Tsukihime, Kagetsu Tohya, Kara no Kyoukai e Mahou Tsukai no Yoru;
- Soft Circle French-Bread e their other fighting games (we want the company to have someday the financial conditions to release MB outside Japan and also in more platforms).

Maybe some were forgotten, but it's basically that.

Siderbar: featured "em destaque", allies, partners, etc.

Em destaque = Featured: more important and general things.
Vídeos recentes = Recent Videos: makes more practical to watch all the last uploaded videos.
Streams: want your MB stream here? Contact me.
Ally communities: much more then partner, allies are blood of our blood; are communities that have been around for a long time and have a good relation do the MB brazilian scene.
Canais = Channels: decent MB sources and ally communities channels. There were much more decent sources on nicovideo, but their upload page was private, so...
Sites oficiais = Official sites: easy farm info.
Type-Moon Fansites: easy fun info.
Twitters: motto motto info.

Well, I guess that's it :). Hope you enjoy. Hopefully we'll grow into a bigger a community soon.

Seon King (Nyu Media)
Thanks, guys. We’re in contact with French Bread, albeit indirectly for now. As I mentioned, Yatagarasu Attack on Cataclysm is our first priority, but we will absolutely follow up on UNiB (& Melty Blood, WTH at the earliest opportunity."

72
What's the source of this fuss? Why are people saying they're together? A twit?

Edit: nvm, already found it.

MikuruX:
"Okay, I've posted this on SRK as well and I was told to post this here as well to get more feedback.

I've been in talks with Seon King at Nyu-Media about trying to get the rights to Gleam of Force, one of French-Bread's doujin titles. Somehow, this brought us to talks about UNIBEXE:Late and he would be interested in working with French-Bread in trying to set something up for the title (at least on PC). Now keep in mind, these are only talks that we've had so this doesn't confirm anything is going on as we just started talking about this recently this past week. Any way, it's pretty much a simple question but what do you all think about the idea of Nyu-Media actually trying to secure the rights for UNIBEXE:Late? Would you buy it if they released it? Do you think it's a good idea?

I simply want your thoughts on this and yes, I have permission from Seon King to ask this so this is an official question."

Melty Blood Auditorium / Re: MeltyDB - A place to look for MBAACC VODs
« on: October 12, 2013, 01:35:35 PM »
Hmm. If possible I'd like to see rating 1-5 stars. It's not like it's hard to find good matches; japanese matches are usually good, but rating would make it easier to find the best matches right away when you want to try a new character.

I'd also like to see more names in higher winrate statistics. Maybe top100? Sometimes you want to know who are best players of character X so you can watch his matches closely. Melty Blood has 90+ options, so a big number would be necessary I guess. Another option would be higher player winrates by characters (I actually think that's more interesting =x).
